A Shared Experience

I have come to this site in the hope someone might be able to explain what it was and meant.

I don't like putting this under 'story' as it's absolutely true.

This happened about 6 years after mum died.

Myself and a sister went to visit one of our other sisters.

It was a warm sunny day just after lunch, we were all happy and laughing. It happened as our sister was standing on her doorstep and just as we were saying goodbye she seemed to change. For me it was like a shimmery veil. It was our mum 'on' 'in' her, she was our mum! I did not want to scare my sister and I was amazed, I hoped that she did not notice my surprise.

We walked calmly down the path to the car, she was still the same she was our sister and our mum at the same time. We waved goodbye and got into the car, we drove for half a minute in silence without looking at each other. I did not know what to say, but did not want to infulence my sister who I was with, so all I said was, Did you see what I saw, she simply replied, yes. So then I asked her what did you see, and she said, mum.

I have never believed in god, does this mean I should?

We had not been talking about mum at all, just laughing with the children and having a nice time.

We have always been a close family and always get on with each other.

We could talk to our Dad about anything really, we all missed mum and

I don't know why we never told dad, sadly he died a few years later too.

We decided not to tell our sister because it would really frighten her. I know that we shared this experience so it was very real.

Can anyone please explain what it was and why it happened. Nothing else has happened since.
