My First Possible Vision?

I have had a number of "paranormal" experiences in my lifetime. This morning was the first time I have ever had any type of vision. I woke up in the middle of the night sometime, probably around 2 or 3 in the morning. My eyes were still closed but I could almost vividly see this woman appear before me. I think she could have been Hindu or some sort of middle eastern. I saw her face and she was wearing a beautiful red headdress or scarf with gold embroidery (I don't know exactly what it's called). I could sense her sadness and felt her pain and saw her weeping. It was really strange. That's never happened to me before. I wanted to ask what was wrong, but I had the feeling that someone very close to her had died. Then the vision faded away.

I tried to find some information this morning online. I've noticed that wearing red is worn in many celebrations. I came across a website saying that when a Hindu woman's husband dies, she also wears all red. But she is no longer allowed to wear red after the death of her husband. I know that it wasn't a dream because I was wide awake. I had rolled over from my side to my back when the vision came to me.

I just thought I would share and see if I could possibly get more information. I know that my mother has experienced things as well. I am assuming this is a gift that may have been passed down to me? I just recently found out that my mother had heard people praying, crying and screaming when she woke up one morning. That morning just happened to be 9/11.
