Wake Up Seeing Smoke

I am among the people who wake up for no apparent reason - bing! -- I am awake after just dropping off to sleep and I see smoke -- sometimes grey, sometime dark, but smoke rising in front of me. It has been happening off and on for well over a year. Sometimes it is so heavy and billowing that I scream because I think it just has to be a fire. I am not sure if the different colors or the difference in the heaviness of the smoke indicates these are different beings or entities. They seem to be watching over me. Sometimes they hover in the air in front of me... Sometimes they are on the bed beside me... Sometimes they have been like a mist over one of my cats sleeping beside me. Sometimes I wake up screaming because I really think the mattress must be on fire. I have tried to make the smoke move by waving my hand through it but it doesn't seem to move. It doesn't really fade. Neither does it just go instantly away. It is weird. It just is there and then gone but not like a switch was turned off and then it wasn't there. It just isn't there any more. Last night I woke up and saw two smaller columns floating side by side to the side of me. Again, I waved my hand to dissipate the smoke but it didn't move. I then wonder if they are watching me from another dimension, kind of like a looking glass where they observe me but I can't make them out... But there is something different about me than other people that I can see some semblance of them? My son recently seen something similar in the middle of the living room during the daytime. He thought, just like me, was he his brain playing tricks or was it something wrong with him brain. It just is so wrong. He walked through it and it didn't move. Then, it just wasn't there any more. He was stunned and stood there for awhile. I had one experience in a hotel room but this time the room was lit with ambient light. This time it was like mist filling a room but it was calming, friendly, and comforting somehow. I also saw a cluster of tiny little lights in a circular formation, all clustered together and hovering in the room beside the bed. I didn't feel the need to scream. It was not like what I witness at home. What is all this? And I also know that it's not me. My son is now sensing and seeing similar phenomenon in the day time but not in the bedroom -- it is downstairs in the living room. Anyone have any ideas? Inter-dimensional visitors and portals? Angels or ghosts? Oh, and onetime I was a white mist entering my room and as it came closer, it was the only time I actually saw a lady, all white appearing and looking at me. Then, like the smoke and mist, she was there and then wasn't. Are they visiting, are they warning, are they taking life energy or feed on the energy of our dreams state? It will be interesting as time goes on where I will get more of my questions answered. I know it's real. I know son has seen it. I just don't know what it should mean to me.
