I've scoured both this site and the Internet without finding a possible explanation of the experience I had.
Yesterday I had a man's face very clearly appear in front of me. It was so vivid and real - I could see every detail of his features. I wish I could dismiss it as a daydream but I was fully awake, it was the middle of the day and I was at my dining table with my eyes wide open.
It felt 'real' as his face was clear and it was to scale/life size. He was right in front of me - half a metre away. It felt like he was either really there or transported there.
He looked into my eyes and smiled at me and then he nodded. I felt calm during the experience but I blinked my eyes as I didn't know what was going on. Then he disappeared.
I'm not sure if this is at all relevant and to be honest this is the part that makes me feel a bit crazy but I have been having fertility treatment for 2 years, unsuccessfully. I have never had a pregnancy with my partner and we have decided to try using donor sperm. I am on an IVF cycle with a final embryo from my partner and I, but the day before this event my partner and I selected our preferred sperm donor from a list.
That night I had a dream that we meet the donor and his wife and we all clicked and agreed this was right, and the way forward. I woke up and thought nothing of it - it was just a dream!
But the vision and face I saw while conscious was the same face of the man in the dream. That is the part that is freaking me out. They were 2 completely different experiences with the same man and the vision felt "real".
