Visions That Come Spontaneously In A Relaxed State?

I need some insight on an experience I had recently.

It has become pretty normal for me to have visions. (In my head, waking dreams. Especially when I am relaxed. Like before going to bed). These visions come spontaneously. I don't construct them, or put any effort in them. They just "appear". Out of nowhere. With astonishing detail.

Sometimes I see things and people I have never seen before. I see them even clearer than one would see a real life scene.

Anyway, I'll skip to the main part.

I was about to sleep, listening to music, when I got this image in my mind.

I saw my grandparents old house with it's courtyard and little balconies.

And at least two dozen people. Each wearing a colorful dress.

Dancing. Spinning. Frantically.

It was in my head but it was so powerful.

I actually experienced it. I swear I was there.

I felt strongly like I was being surrounded by crazy joy and a strange but beautiful madness.

I actually felt scared. And excited. And happy.

And it was dark. I was in the middle of the courtyard, a person with a blue dress was dancing with me. While other people were appearing out of thin air. The place became really crowded gradually. People were brushing past us.

All moving fast. Like when you boil water and the particles are

Whizzing around. A lot like that.

It was beautiful. Even though it was so dark. I felt so truly happy.

And it was real. In my head, but I experienced it.

Is it just vivid imagination at it's extreme?

Or is it a real experience?

What do you think?

I have experienced something similar but less intense before.

The only difference is that this one was like a real experience, even though I was fully conscious and awake. I did not drift off from reality for one moment. Even though I had my eyes closed.

The experiences before were much like watching a movie.

Any insight would be appreciated!
