Could This Be Aura? Or An Apparition?

I recently, just started meditating, and honestly, still pretty new to all of this. I've always been somewhat spiritual, I also do believe in the paranormal. (as I have had paranormal experiences, such as doors opening and closing on their own, loud thuds from nowhere and things moving around) Now, to be honest, I virtually knew nothing about anything I've read on this site. I knew of it, but nothing about it.

The other night, I guess you could say I had my first successful meditation. Or at least, I assume it was because my body felt like it was melting into my bed. I somewhat had a feeling like I couldn't move, but I could. To be honest, I've got no clue at all.

But what happened to me scared the crap out of me. I turned the lights off, laid down around 2:40 in the morning and started relaxing, clearing my mind. I started feeling relaxed, like I was melting into my bed. I started to see what seemed to be smoke swirling around in my right eye while it was closed. I got a sudden urge to open my eyes, and to the right of me, it was like a cloud of smoke swirling around. I didn't know what it was, it was pitch black but I could clearly see the smoke. It was... Well, grey-ish/white, the natural color of smoke.

I told my dad about it and he said it could've been my deceased grandpa watching over me. I also looked around online, some say it could've been an Apparition and some say it could've been Aura. I haven't really talked to anyone about, besides my dad and a friend. They both say it was probably an Apparition, or as my dad said, my grandpa.

I'm not sure if this is the right site to post it on, but I'm terrible with things like forums and such, I'm just really eager to find a solution to this. So I sincerely apologize if I got it on the wrong site.
