Real Psychic Experiences

Divine Impulse

I am the lazy type, so is my friend, Nathan. I am an electronics engineer, and I believe that there is a scientific explanation for everything. I believe most of the stories on this site are due to lies or schizophrenia. We planned and cancelled many trips to churchill park to go for a bush walk (because we are both lazy).

One day we planned to meet at the park. For no apparent reason, I woke up about 4-5 hours early. It was programmed into my head to go to churchill park. If anyone on this site has ever done anything in their sleep with a goal set in their mind, they may understand. I looked at the clock, and realized the time. If I had not seen my clock and gone back to sleep, I would have headed for churchill.

Later that morning I arrived at the park, it was still dark. Nath had not yet arrived. I heard an exhaust in the distance, I ignored it. Later Nath showed up, it was still dark. He mentioned the car running in the distance. We were both afraid to approach the car in the dark, at some point I listened to the exhaust of the car and I realized it was a suicide. I mentioned this to Nath, but the idea was quickly dismissed as it was so unlikely.

When the sun rose, we went down towards the car. A guy called Stewart had gassed himself in the car and we found him dead. I would not find anything about this scenario supernatural, except for my early awakening, this NEVER happens to me. I honestly believe if I had gone straight to the park after I woke up, that I would have saved Stuart. I believe my awakening was due to divine intervention (which failed).

Please note that I function daily as an electronics engineer, I am an atheist, and I am just as skeptical as any reader could be. However this did happen to me, just as I have told it. It's improbability made it worth a mention.

I welcome any skeptical feedback. Perhaps an alternative possible scenario might be easier to deal with.

Regards, Michael.

everything has energy. You as an engineer should understand that. The human body itself is so complexly engineered that we ourselves can not make a working 'copy'. Things happen for a reason. And yes, you felt a dying man's energy resonating from a park who's energy you had been concentrating on all day. This is almost like meditation. You're more sensitive than others in feeling the energy around you. You clumsily discovered this [lawlz] but by doing your "meditation" you tapped into a little bit of that energy that so many others wish they could taste. It may come, it may go, but you have it. What will you do with it? Continue to be blind and think we're just blobs moving no where going no where but the ground? Naww, our energy is ment for so much more. With every action there is a reaction. With every exertion of energy more is created. Surely death too is an action soon to be followed by an equal if not greater reaction.

I could tell you that your psycic but in reality when your waiting for something to happen the next day (you palmed it off a lot) even if you don't feel excited you actually are and I think it was just a coincidence that you woke up the same with the poor bloke in the car.

This does not sound like a spiritual presence or a special ability just a mere, creepy coincidence.

Sometimes its just easier to accept then to reject that which we don't understand especially when it is happening to us. Being an engineer you have a logical reasoned and scientific mind therefore the event went against your beliefs. Its ok to be skeptical about things which other people say happened to them but when something similar happens to you it blows all of your beliefs out the window. If you accept the gift which you possess then you may just find that your life is greatly enhanced by it. You are entitled to your opinion but the evidence is well documented all over the world about psychic abilities and true events. The police are now using psychic's to solve crimes what does that tell you. You may regret not going to the park at the time you woke but you wernt to know that the poor man was in need. Perhaps you were connected to him in some small way that you are unaware of. Or maybe you arent but the truth is that you regret not going to the park because you may of been able to save his life. I think you were sent a very clear message that you should believe because you have psychic abilities along with the rest of us. Cheers Gypsy

You are right when you believe the premonition to go to churchill park to save the man was a divine intervention, too bad you didn't heed the warning and save the man but then perhaps in the future you may act on some of these divine interventions.
This is exactly how Psychics Work, and by listening to the force in the Universe sometimes we can snatch people back from the jaws of death from accidents and a health problem still in the future.
All deaths are not meant to be, sometimes people just don't act on their hunches and Psychic Gift.
You no doubt in the future may find out that you are going to be psychic whether you like it or not because these dreams and hunches and information will begin to filter through you and there is little you can do about it it just is.
I personally believe all humans have this gift but whether they develope it and use it for the good of others and mankind is of course up to them.

mickjc75, the email system for notifying people when they get new comments has been disabled because it was causing too much troubles, we now have a new system where an author can click on the "check comments" links at the top of any pages and it will display them.

Athena, not sure if you will read this now, sorry I didn't check for comments, I thought I would get an Email alerting me to it.
I guess I expected people to have the same skeptical approach as me. Whoops.

I have a myspace page listed in my profile If you want to contact me.

Dear mickjc75 or Michael,

April 16, 2007, Monday

I was hoping you had left a response to my comment and perhaps my comment would have helped you if but a little bit. Honestly, this comment was to help you as much as I could, but as always I feel when we help others, we are also helping ourselves. You see once again, I learned that this incident was about me and not so much about you, but I hope my comment helped in some way. I will explain below why I feel this way.

You see when I have these feelings of impending sadness in the deep pit of my solar plexus I intuitively "know" something is coming in regards to traumatic events or disasters whether human-made or natural. In this case, I had been feeling this aching of sadness not impending doom, but a knowing of something imminent that filled me with this feeling of impending sadness. In this case, my empathic sense was being used and feelings kept coming up about engineering and engineers. I also have this thing about being connected to the dead, those who are about to pass, those who will pass and those who have passed. Since the thoughts and feelings about engineers came up, I started to relize and talk within my personal life about how many engineers I have known or been connected to within my lifetime. You and your story is a part of this, because when I saw it here and saw that you strongly made it a point that you were an engineer and that there had been a connection to a death by suicide, I read and felt this to be symbolic, and that I needed to post a comment to you regarding your story. I still did not feel this sense of impending sadness go away even though I had delivered my message. I was thinking my sad and uneasy mood was coming from my feelings about what was going on at the yourghoststories.com site and truths in stories and comments not being told. I felt irritated by this sad feeling. Well, when I finally heard the news about the Virginia (USA) campus shootings which included information about the engineering building, Austrailian enrolled students, an Austrailian mining engineer named Chistopher Hull who gave his account of hearing 15 to 20 gunshots from his office, and finally the number of people dead, including the gunman, as a present count of 33. It pretty much confirmed to me what the empathic feelings, symbols and your story was telling me. The number 3 to me means communication. This was not only a wake-up call to you, but to me as well,...and also for our human society. It is also about responsibility as I mentioned in my comment to you. My message to you could also be used for today's tragedy. I pray for all those who have passed today to cross over with ease into "unconditional love". My love goes out to all those who are touched by this tragic event today.

I know there will be those who are skeptical and will say that I am making this tragic event fit what I may want the reader to believe as my psychic experience. No, this is not about you or convincing you. This is about my own journey, it may be selfish, but it is what I need to know about myself. It is good to be skeptical and even this is touched upon within mickjc75 or Michael's story, my first comment and this comment. It is all here, if you want to believe it or not. As always, this is my comment, my opinion and you are free to choose some, all or nothing of what I say here.

Blessings, Athena

P.S. I can not in terms explain to you, as I have never really seen the presence who has been with me since as long as I can remember, but I have always felt, known and sometimes heard a male presence that I feel is my guide. I have always called him, "Michael". Please also note the title of author, Michael's story, "Divine Impulse".

Dear mickjc75,
I can see that your story was accepted to be printed here and is welcome, and so do others as myself welcome you and your story here. I am although perplexed why you would come to this site and introduce and label yourself as lazy, your occupation as an engineer and your belief system as an atheist, as well as state that you believe most of the stories on this site are due to lies or schizophrenia. I would think the first people you would have sought counsel and advice from would have been those people who are more like yourself, within your own circle of loved ones, as well as that you would have found "skeptical feedback" from other web sites more suitable to your belief system?

Your labels do not matter in the least to me. I have known many people who have the same or similiar labels and believe system as you. The majority of them do and did not use their labels or belief systems as an excuse and carte blanche to be disrespectful to others who were not like themselves, especially when they were seeking "skeptical feedback". Truly, how do I know you are not one who tells stories that are lies or that you are not schizophrenic?

Do you know What matters to me? What matters to me is the person you truly are. It matters to me that you love and treat yourself with respect, and that you also treat others and all living and non-living things with love and respect. You may not agree with what you read here, as this is your free right and choice to choose as you believe, but it does not mean you have to label and disrespect others who are not like you when at the same time you are seeking advice.

All of this is but my own opinion, and you are as always free to choose some, all or none.

I will tell you what I feel about your story. I feel that what you had was a major wake-up call and it was not about saving Stewart. It was a wake up call meant for you, and if you wish to label it supernatural that is fine. I also feel that you feel guilty for not listening to the message that was being sent to you and that you may in some way, shape or form blame yourself for not being there to stop Stewart from taking his own life. I will tell you that I feel that if you did stop Stewart, he would have eventually found another time and/or way to take his life. What happened was what was meant to happen. Stewart chose his life's path and his life's end. That was his responsibility, not yours. He no longer has another chance in this physical world, but you are blessed, because you do. You are the one who can freely choose to make the most of this experience and learn from it, so that when the next wake-up call comes, you will know what you will do and how you will react. Then you will not have to come here for further "skeptical feedback", but instead you will come here, because you wish to be here to learn and to teach from your own personal experiences.

Blessings and do come back again to share, Athena

You don't have to be religious to see things, you just can... Simple as that, you see your mind is vast and even science doesn't know what the mind is really capable of. Logic and not-so-logical things are connected together, because I believe everything is interconnected... Hence how we function, and understanding that tiny bit of information is very important. You see everything as a step, a progress, a piece am I right? Well, so are what other people see that isn't really "scientifically" proven yet, because others fail to see it. It happens whether you notice it or not. Your brain sends impulses so fast that most of the time, you can barely even feel them, but take notice to them and you can treat each one as a certain 'trigger' so to speak. Whether you feel something good is about to happen, bad, frightening... Whatever it maybe you know because you listening. What most doctors fail to do is combine western medicine with their professional degree practice in order to achieve better results... Without either one you can end up not as precise or defined. People always want to have one answer, one key, but they always forget that the human body is made up of many functions, processes that couldn't be achieved if one simple piece was out of line. Everyone wants a fast quick answer, with amazing results... Like all the info commericals show, we just need a better method of communication and a realization of being aware of things around us in general. Sometimes people just make things way to complicated, simplicity really is the key to life. You may get sick of all those little sayings, but when you try to search for more while destroying society in general you get a world that is lost in its thoughts trying to rediscover itself.
