Hearing Voices While Asleep

Before I tell you about my experience, I feel it's important to give a little background on myself that is pertinent to this event.

I have suspected I am at least modestly sensitive since I was about 12 because of an entirely different event, and I use the term "modestly" very precisely. Only every so often, maybe once a month I will for example finish a total stranger's sentence after they have only spoken two or three words, and usually along the topics of details about family, or something that happened to them in their past, things I shouldn't know about a total stranger or someone I just met. It's never really bothered me, most of the time I would shrug it off and they would be the ones left shocked or scared.

However, two days ago I had an experience unlike anything I have dealt with up to this point.

I was out cold asleep. The kind of hard sleep you would be having after sleeping only 5 hours the previous night, working an 8 hour shift, and then eating a big meal. I remember having a totally pointless but none the less amusing dream, something about driving through town with some friends, nothing significant. The part that has me writing in here is what woke me up from a dead sleep in the middle of a dream at 4:50am. The dream I was having was suddenly and completely undone, there was just black, and I could hear an unfamiliar young female voice that said "Oh my God, I see another!" When I heard these words they sounded as though they were being spoken through a window, and after I heard those words I remember feeling a massive wave of anxiety bordering on total fear and I remember feeling as though the source of the voice was moving closer to me and closer to a door... Like front door to a house and they were running towards it from outside, all while repeating, "I saw another, I saw another" in a very anxiously fearful way.

At this point I became fully mentally awake, but my body was still asleep and I was try desperately to force my eyes to open so I could get up. (the heavy sleepers reading this will know what I am talking about) as I finally started to come awake I remember becoming more and more aware of a strong electric tingling sensation over my entire body which left completely in the moments after I was wide awake casting wild stares around the room wondering what the hell was going on. I got out of bed, and went down stairs to find that no one else in the house was awake, so I checked outside. (it should also be noted I live on 40 acres of pasture well outside of the nearest town).

I left out the front door, and walked around the outside of the house looking for signs that someone may have been there recently, there was a heavy dew on the grass, and the only footprints anywhere in it were my own which told me there had not been anyone outside talking.

I am still trying very hard to make sense of what happened. There is one person that this event may have context for and I will be speaking to them later tonight, but outside of that I haven't a clue what happened.

I am hoping to find an explination about an event that happened last night. Thing is My friend sleeps in my room in her own bed and I sleep in my own bed. My son was asleep in my grandfathers room. Well I was in a deep sleep and I don't remember any of this at all but my friend told me that last night between 3 and 4 am she heard a child ask me if I wanted to play and I answered it and said not right now honey maybe later. The room was pitch black no tv on or music. She had just laid down and was fully awake. I don't know what to make of this. I have seen things out of the corner of my eyes these past couple days but I didn't feel threatened and I just ignored it. A few days ago I saw a child size black figure out of the corner of my eye running past me back and forth. I grew up in this house most my life nothing has ever happened here other than my grandmothers passing 5 years ago. I do have a past history of dealing with ghosts in a house I lived in 1998-2007. That house had 4 spirits. A woman on the side of the house would watch me at night walk up to my house. A little girl playing in the front yard and she would play in my baby brothers room. Another female around 20 something would lay in my bed. Than there was the evil man. He was awful he slammed the garage door on me made me fly across the room. Banged on the house at 3am every night shaking the house. He would stare in the windows and scare females and children. He came in my dreams tormenting me trying to rape me. Than later a few weeks my roomates told me they had the same dream and same guy. So I did a house cleansing and he couldn't come in anymore but he stayed outside making the dogs growl and bark. He would still stare in the windows. We finally moved but none of the spirits followed us thank goodness. My whole life I have been able to feel things. When my grandmother passed away I closed my mind and blocked everything out. She died on Nov 21st 2010 at 10:43 pm in her room. I don't feel her. Now though something is trying to get my attention and I don't know if it is good or bad plus my roomate hearing the conversation I know its not just me and I am not going crazy. 3am is a bad time to be hearing things, but to have it talk to me while I'm in a deep sleep and answer it plus my friend heard it. What is it? What does it want?

I've had a similar experience too. I must say I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one after reading all of these reviews.
This happened a around 6 months back, I was watching a documentary about the 9/11 attacks and was really taken back by the scenes. Specially people jumping out of the windows out of desperation. Still gives me the chills!

That night I slept and around 3-4 am I heard the voice of a young girl (sounded like she was 6-7 years old) The voice clearly repeated this " MEELIN, MEELIN ". It felt like she was right behind me whispering in my ears. I had the same electric feeling as described by all of you.

I was sleeping on my left side but couldn't muster the courage to turn around. For quiet some time, my eyes remained closed. Finally I did open them up and looked around, only to see my parents sleeping next to me and nothing else. I tried to find what this word meant.

Apparently "Meelin" is a place in Ireland, also there was a 26 year old 9/11 victim from Ireland whose name was Colleen Meehan. Don't see the connection though. Scientifically there is a sleep disorder where people here voices, called Sleep paralysis.

Don't know if this was psychic or as they say sleep paralysis. But I really felt the person whisper in my ears.

After reading the initial post I have chills running down my spine. After a similar long day without rest I went to sleep last night and an almost identical series of events happened, which is why I searched for an answer and found this sit, Every thing from the window experience to the electric sensation. Except the words I heard were "you are not alone, I am with you" similar anxiety or fear occurred as I could feel/see the presence come upon me, through the window and I felt connected to it. I was filled with a feeling that I haven't felt in years that I can't exactly explain, not quite happiness close to peace maybe love and no anxiety or fear. With the electric feeling falling I could feel myself waking. Today I can still feel it, and remember the chain of events perfectly, and I was wondering if any one else has experienced this? Could this have been a simple lucid dream or a psychic/paranormal experience? It feels like more.

I had a dream similar to that for the first time a couple nights ago, but I'm not completely sure if I was asleep or not. All I could see was black, and there was a man's voice speaking directly to me. He told me I was pregnant. I wasn't afraid of him; I felt safe. As soon as I woke up in the morning I had a very strong memory of it, which usually doesn't happen with my dreams and never happens if someone tries to talk to me at night. I don't know if the man was right, or if it was really even to me.

I have had the same experience. It normally frightens me to the depth of my bones. I had not being able to get up and move and make it stop. For me... I will have the experience for a week or so, and then not again for a while. It's been a year since the last time I had this experience. I have NEVER had it before with someone else with me, and the last two nights it happened even with my boyfriend laying next to me. That disturbs me.

I have dreams like that quite often and I really try although not always successfully to stay in them to get an idea of what is going on.

If they are anything like the ones that I have you are not actually part of the dream but an observer. I don't know why it happens or what it is warning me about but I can ttell you that usually within about 2 weeks of having these types of dreams something really bad happens.

Try to think of what the context was and where you were but din't think too hard about it and it may come to you. Seems like an awful lot of people are seeing and hearing things like this lately.
