My Experiences In Northern Oklahoma

I've been reading through this site and some of its sister sites, and I have realized that I am having some of the same experiences as a lot of you guys here. And I was wondering if you guys could help me clarify a couple of things.

I am fifteen years old and I live in Oklahoma with strict non-believer parents, so I have no one to ask about these things.

Ever since I was a little kid I would occasionally hear people talking to me when no-one was in the room. It would only normally be one word, like the entity would say my name, or "Hey!", or if I was trying to think of something, it would tell me what it was. But its words always physically affected me, it's like every time it spoke, it would send shock waves throughout my body. Maybe that's just my fear of something talking to me where there's no-one around making me tense up.

I don't know, but some people have told me in the past that they thought it was a guardian spirit, like someone from my past that has died and come back to watch over me. I don't think so. The voice is most often one entity and female, and young. Most the people that have passed away around me have been older. So I don't think that's the case.

I also have other things that happen to me, like I get bad vibes from certain older buildings or places. A couple of years ago my mother and step-father wanted to get a new house, so they dragged me along to all of their open houses. They were looking for a house in Midtown, where all of the old built-during-the-oil-boom houses are. We went into one of the houses that was open and toured it.

I was fine throughout most the tour, except when we got down into the basement. The air down there was unbelievably oppressive, and the sense of utter despair just washed over me, hitting me like a ton of bricks. I ended up running out of there crying, refusing to go back in. My family still calls it the haunted house, jokingly, every time we pass it.

And besides those experiences, I have a knack of knowing what people are going to say before they say it. Like, someone will go up to me and say "Hey, guess what?" And a word will pop up in my mind, like December, and then they say, "I'm going to see my Uncle in Nevada this December!"

This last experience happens quite a lot. Almost every time I'm talking to someone, and it happens more with some people than others.

So what do you guys think? Do you think I'm just some whiny teenager trying to be different? Or am I crazy? Or do I have some actual ability? Please, I would like your advice.

I'm from Oklahoma, and I know what you mean about people not listening to you. My mom has always followed her gut instincts, and she understood when I told her that I wasn't comfortable somewhere. She generally felt it too.

All I have to say is to keep following your guts. There is generally a reason why your warning system has gone off. Good luck and follow your instincts.

I'm about your age and I experience similar things as well. I found this website just yesterday, and I feel as though I can relate to everyone on here so well. I get bad vibes from places as well. I also hear voices telling me to do stuff and whenever I do it turns out it was the right thing to do. I recall the first time I went to visit my aunt at work I had the most horrible feeling. While visiting her at work, I felt a negative presence as we were pulling up to the front and once we were inside couldn't breathe and I heard voices begging me to help them and demanding to know what I was doing there. After a tour of the whole building I knew there was something going on there and then my aunts boss mentioned the building used to be a funeral home, but enough about me. I'm glad to know that there are others out there who have similar things happening to them, and that I haven't gone insane! I wish you the very best of luck and happiness in life and I want you to know that you aren't alone:) God loves you!

I think, and hope, that everyone has ability but some are quieter and listen. I hope that as you grow and learn, you pick a profession that makes use of your talents, perhaps that is most. Listening can also protect you. Police report that most people get a creepy feeling before they are victims of a crime. If something feels wrong, get away from it whether logical or not.

You sound quite normal with a very clear head about you. You are experiencing what millions (yes, millions though many won't admit it) experience every day throughout this world.

Keep exploring all the venues available to you and as your life develops, more of this will unfold.

For all the young people on this site, feel fortunate that the internet is now available. When I was growing up, not only was there no internet, but books on this topic were very seldom published. Vast amounts of data is now available to you and for the truly curious and dedicated, only you can stop yourself from achieving and experiencing all that you want in terms of personal psychic development.

Good luck!
Anne
