Dream Of The Future Or Of A Specific Meaning?

I haven't been on this site for a few months but I recently had a dream that I believe might be about the fate of the world.

In the dream, I was walking down the street. At one point I stopped and looked up at the sky. I had a distinct feeling of needing to get out of where I was, like I needed to go really far away. Then I blinked and when my eyes opened, I was in a moon like place with mountains and craters everywhere. The only difference was that the sky was white instead of being the black that it should have been.

I was alone in the place but only for a moment. Out of the blue, there were more people appearing. After a few seconds, we were a group of about five to ten people. I had never seen these people before. I was kind of confused. A few moments later, one man (or a woman, that part is a bit fuzzy) pointed at the sky. Everyone turned to see what he was pointing at.

It was the earth. It was a beautiful sight. I remember thinking to myself "I wish the moon looked like that so I can keep looking at it when I got back to Earth". Unfortunately, that never happened. Slowly, the Earth started splitting into many different pieces as if it had just exploded, only there was no sign of an explosion. The people I was with started to wonder what to do next. I remember that we came up with something, but I don't remember what it was.

I can't remember what happened next.

So, I have been known to dream about future events in the dreams that I remember. Sometimes it's literally what I dreamt, sometimes the dreams are just metaphors for what is about to happen. I don't know which one this is going to be, but hopefully, it is the later one.

What I would like to know is this:

1. If you guys think it is going to be a literal event, or if it was a metaphor;

2. If anyone else has had a similar dream

3. If yes to the above, if the dream happened around the night of September 21st to 22nd 2008

4. If you think the dream had a metaphor type meaning for what is to come, what do you think it means?

Keep in mind that the dream was in color and that all my senses were functional.
