I have to say I agree more with VulpesVulpes - I don't know how anyone can possibly come up with statistics with things like this or can say for sure what God does or doesn't do... Unless they're God!
Vulpes - I think you're right, if the spirit has something to say, I think it's usually pretty good at coming up with it. Otherwise it could just be playing around... Not a good omen.

I agee with Edmund, God takes care of kids, most of them. And the evil spirits they know that in most of the cases we will feel sympathetic to a kid and let him in, many times without even realizing it, into our life. Be careful. By the way, what Edmund said about saying God bless you, is very true, I do it every time I just feel scared or "heavy" in the room, I say it 3 times, and it just goes away, try it, don't disregard it. My first instinct in this situation would always be to remain cautious, and expect the worst. The entity in question came uninvited into your personal living space, and attempted to make contact with you, as opposed to you attempting to make contact with it through a definite personal choice, mediumistic abilities, pendulum, ouija board or whatever. Considering that you would no doubt be very alarmed if a living, breathing person did the same, and woke you up into the bargain, I guess you can see where I am coming from.

Also, I tend to be very mistrustful of anything which chooses to instigate conversation but says very little, or nothing at all other than a simple 'hello' as in this case. If it had something to say, some deeper truth to impart, it would have said it by now, as opposed to just hanging around. From what you describe in the article above, it is just a hungry ghost, looking for the warmth of human interaction, and you should be under no illusions that these entities can cause some very serious problems if they are invited to stay.

Should you see it again, ask it to leave at the first opportunity, before it decides to take up a permanent residence. Be forceful, be sure of yourself, and remember that you are in control of your interaction with the spirit world, not the other way around. If all else fails, utilise your personal faith in whichever deity you feel a particular affinity to, as that little extra psychological boost might well be enough to persuade it to leave you alone for good. It might seem heavy handed to react in such a way, but it is preferable to the alternative, trust me.

stefr49... I never acknowledge a spirit verbally If I see something like you have I ask him/her in my mind why are you here and not in the light. If I get no response back in my mind then I presume it could be some form of evil that can cause me harm... If after twenty seconds or so if he/she is still there I'll say out loud may the Lord bless you and lead you to the light I usually get one of two responses one they blink out... Or two they transmit some kind of hate or evil feeling back at me.

I get suspicious of lost spirits of children because 99% of the time heaven goes out of their way to bring them back into the light. The other 1% or so usually stay if there was a group large or small of children that got stuck... Accident, sanitorium/hospitals, or natural disasters or sometimes the whole family gets stuck etc. So you probably would be right if you handle this like if was not a small lost child.

Very very few of them move on it takes decades for them and where they reside to calm down... So what's left that are nice children that are lost... About 1 in 500 million much better chances at winning the lottery!

When I read stories like yours I always wonder how the people who live them manage to continue sleeping at night. Yet again I had something similar happen only I only got the voices, not the visuals, and sure enough life plods on no matter what. The way you discribe it doesn't give off the impression the boy was threatening in any way... He paid you a compliment after all
Kidding aside, did you feel a threat? You don't mention how long ago this occured either, has anything happened since? My guess is this boy is probably an entity who either has something to tell you or who hangs around there for a reason... Have you lived where you are since long? Other than that I have no help to offer and some people on this website who have far more experience in dealing with spirits will be able to help out more. In the meantime you can maybe try to find something out about the previous owners. Good luck and keep us posted if the boy returns.
