Today I had a break at 10:00. Being the first Tuesday of the month, the local towns test their tornado warning systems. The creepy thing is, I've never ever heard all of them going off at once. I almost always have my break at 10:00, and I've worked here for a solid 4 years. It created a truly eerie effect that literally came from all around me, like the sky was screaming-without taking a breath. I don't ever want to hear that sound again." A tornado hits my home town and surrounding municipalities. Every municipalities tornado warning sirens going off all at once, just as I had hoped never to hear again. Unfortunately, I don't get the luxury of escaping my own prophecies it seems. Such is the way with me of late, and I begin to ask myself why I question the extent of my abilities even still? My town has been hit by a tornado 2 times before, the second one I drove straight through as mature oak trees blew across the road in front of me-1996.
The sirens screamed for 30+ minutes! Unheard of, even as an inhabitant of tornado alley. They generally only blow 1 time, and last about 3 minutes. These happen maybe 1 time every 2 years. This storm was 10 fold.
I even heard the tornado grinding over the tree line in my back yard. It ripped 200+ year old oak trees by the roots and tossed them across the street! It sounded like a train, like a siren in its own rite.
Seeing vortexes, life long recurring dreams of tornado sirens in an end of days scenarios, and now talking about the sky screaming from all points with sirens in my real life affirms that what so ever I try to avoid I must face.
We got 5 inches of rain in a 2 or 3 hour span- a flash flood consumed everything. Water was knee deep at major intersections. I don't think it's a stretch to describe such a storm as "biblical" in proportion.
What does all this mean to me? First, I no longer have the luxury of denying my gift of prophecy. Second, we have changed the earth's climate so drastically that storms like this will become more and more common. They will become more severe, and hold their strength longer and longer. Finally, Mother Earth is furious at what we have done to her, and she is reclaiming her sovereignty.
I don't like giving bad news to good people, but this is how it is, and how it's going to be. Message delivered.
