A Spirit Visiting Me at Night

Hey everyone, the other night I was lying in bed half asleep, listening to music. I was about to put my ipod away, when for some reason I looked up at the corner of my roof in my bedroom. I was so shocked and frightened by what I saw, I couldn't even move. There was a bright, almost "fuzzy" or hazy looking white light on my roof, parallel to where I was lying in bed.

At first, I tried to rationalize what I saw by saying it was probably a light coming in from outside my window or something, but then I realized that my curtains were closed and my door was shut. There was absolutely nothing in my room that would have caused that light. It wasn't a kind of light that lit up my room or anything either. The creepiest thing is that after a few minutes of watching it, I saw it move around my room a bit, then just leave, passing through the closed door.

At that point, I was convinced it was something paranormal. I consulted my boss at work about what I saw (she's psychic along with many other abilities) and she said it is a guardian angel. I asked how she would know that and how she knows it wasn't an evil spirit. (I've had horrible experiences where I woke up in the middle of the night and ran out of my room because I felt a presence, which made me feel like it wasn't safe to be in my room while that presence was there - I would end up sleeping on the living room couch that night.) My boss responded saying that if it was an evil spirit, it would not have left my room, it would have stayed there.

So basically, right now I don't know what to do, I'm scared to be in my own room sometimes, I don't know what that "white light" was or if there are more than one spirits in my house - which happens to be built by my grandfather, and bought off him by my dad 8

years before my grandfather died in the apartment downstairs in my house.

I don't know whether I should try contacting the "white light" spirit or not - if it is my guardian angel I don't see why it would be a bad thing to do.

If you have any advice as to what I should do, it would be greatly appreciated.

The devil can appear as an angel of light! Remember that. Or even as a child or a dead relative, asking you for help! DON'T TALK TO THEM! Just say: ' In the name of Jesus christ, go away! And God bless you and help you!' and it'll go... (Unless you are living in sin, or practicing occult things like ouija board, tarot cards, or contacting/channeling spirits- all of which open doors to the demons!) Stay safe. God bless!

Im new here but I felt that again last nite. I was laying in bed, comfortably on my side and suddenly became half awake, I felt a presence behind me and I rememer thinking I was all alone in my house. I didn't turn to see what it was because I actually was afraid to look. Suddenly I felt a muzzle lift my fingertips and palm up and I freaked out and pulled away and woke up. I have had 2 other experiances, one was back in high school, I remember feeling alone that night and went to sleep wishing I had a loving connection to someone, then I saw him, long pitch black hair, white rob with gold outline an trim. I couldn't see his face but I remember feeling like " you found me... I have missed you." then I awoke. Since then I have worked a bit on tuning into my chakras, almost astral projected a few times too:) but I always have a feeling that I have lost a little one. I still feel it, stronger now that I'm older. I don't want kids and have never been pregnant but I feel such a strong feeling that I lost a child, a little boy... Maybe in a past life? Its such a sad longing, I find myself saying in my dreams "give him back to me."

The man in the white robe, I saw him again in my new house, I was happy to see him, surprised he had followed me. But this time he sat on my bed while I was half awake and I felt it stroke my forhead comfortingly. I have tried to meditate before I go to sleep but its hard with my boyfriend snoring next to me lol. I also see floating lights constantly now, sparkly lights dance in my field of vision when I look out into the sky. It feels like I'm "waking up" becoming more aware. Some guidance would be very appreciated:)

WOW! What you are explaining happened to me just the other night. I was half asleep and half awake. I felt as if I woke properly and I just couldn't move! It was like my arms and legs were asleep. I tried to call to my husband to help be but he wouldn't wake up. I then remember getting up out of bed and hearing a lot of voices talking to me but they were all talking at once and I couldn't understand them. The room was hazy. I would like to know what is going on also... If anyone could help.

I myself have seen many crazy happenings. As I sit here and write. This in my bedroom I hear a tapping noise. Like On a pop can. I hope everything, goes well for you. In addition, No I am not scared of the tapping.

I don't believe you would need to feel scared. I've had contact with evil spirits, and last night 5/25/09 I had a good one. Bad spirits including seeing as I called them shadow men, or energy vampires in my room touching me, holding weapons, laughing me, and having me leave my room feeling safer. I could feel them, they had no details except the shape of a humans body and I did feel intimidated. Other encounters include at the age of 2 I yelled GO AWAY MEAN MAN, my mom rushed into my room, sat on my bed to find it shaking incredibly fast, certainly I was not shaking it. I am moving and the white light seems to be contacting me before I leave. The white light I would say try to contact it, don't avoid it. If you're not intimidated it's okay it's a teacher, a follower, a protector.

I have experienced this too. I have seen a white light blog/longish streak accross my ceiling, in my bedroom. With no type of light from outside that could cause the light on the ceiling. The light will stay for a bit. I even say hello and then it just dissapears, right before my eye's. I think the bright light spirts are good sprits. I think... At least I don't feel any evil, from it. Perhaps its a spirt guids or an Angel.

you are exactly right it is a spirit. I would say it would be ok to contact it. It would put you at ease to know what it is doing there. I think it had good intent. And she was right it wouldn't leave your room if it was evil. And you left your room because you felt a presence, and it wasn't safe, good that you follow your instinct but it would only make you more afraid.

Ok, my advice... Try contacting it. You said your boss was psychic, maybe she could come and contact it with you. Only because, when I do it with my friends, I feel safer, and it's easier.

The best person that can give you information is yourself. Some people are naturally better at seeing spirits than others because they recieve higher vibrations easier...it's just a part of life. Can you get rid of them, no not really but you can accept them as a positive aspect of your life and spirtual guidance.

You see people die, it's not your fault, it's a gift in that you are LUCKY enough to see them before then... As a reminder of what you have. I find that yes as it can be hard, it makes you appericate them even more than you would have if you never saw that happening. Try to see it has a time for being around them more often, the future is not set it stone, you can morph time by certain vibrations, slow it speed it up... It works. But can it stop death from ever coming, no... Acceptance is what you need to find. Especially within yourself.

The thing is I don't see them die I just see them laying in the casket and me at there funeral. One night I woke up crying from seeing my dead grandmother at her funeral and she is still alive right now and that was about 3 years ago when I had that dream. The scariest thing was when I woke up I heard the scream from myself from that dream. I couldn't go back to sleep that nite. I was told by this reader that spirits love begin around me. I asked why and he couldn't answer that question so I could understand. I feel maybe at times I'm crazy. Is there someone here on this website that can tell me if I give you information about myself if you also see that giftor what this is I'm going threw?

aramasamara is right. I blamed myself for years about not being able to save someone. And I do mean a long time. And I personally think my gifts would have been much stronger now if I didn't blame myself so much. For a long while I hated my gifts. I didn't understand them and felt stuck because I didn't know what to do. Like you, I was lost. Actually, still am sometimes even now. I especially always questioned why I saw and knew so many bad things before they occured. I've now have learned and accepted that some things are not meant to be changed and they were just meant to be. We do what we can to help and if we fail, it is just how it is suppose to be and that is all we can do. 😊

You are not alone, I started seeing family members die when I was 11. Now I can practically see anyone die, people that as you said are still 'walking'. Which to you and I makes it scarier because they are not dead, but you know they are alive, and you even see them die I am guessing. Times here and there I would get scared because I couldn't reach them in time and I wanted to save everyone. I quickly learned that, that wasn't possible, but sometimes especially family members I was to accept their passing. I accepted it has a peace offering, I would watch them die or towards that area, then afterwards I would say two different types of prayers. Mind you I was 11 at the time, but on occassion I still say these two prayers. I can tell you them if you want, the last one is highly important. Then after that I would ask God that if he must take them then do what is best and let him take their soul in peace. Then of course the next week or a few days later they all died. But the guilt wasn't there because they had passed in peace, offering pure acceptance instead of floating around as a ghost... In which many of the dead do.

That was for only family members, I have worked with many cases that aren't so 'peaceful' and call for remote view and other techinques because usually someone is trying to kill them. You will not always find the killer nor make it in time, you must learn to give the victim hope and reassurance if not even that you must show them final peace. You cannot control it all, that is one thing you must learn. Though not forget that you can control many things.

It will be hard at first, and sometimes it will never get 'easy' as one may think, but it is a part of life, just keep on fighting!

It may have been a angel and to accept the gift is the hard part cause I feel I will never get there if I never know how to do it. I am very comfortable I think but I feel lost. Thank you for listen to me and responding back. Do you know of anyone you have talked to that can help me?

actually I have seen this. These people seem to glow and they have such a goodness and innocence about them that they "glow". They have a bright light coming out of them. And really evil people uggh they are so dark and I could just tell. (maybe because I am an empath)

Just a guess, but have heard from other about seeing bright lighted people. Could he/she have been an angel? I've heard that they can come with light surrounding them. I personally have never witnessed this.
There are always spirits around us, angels and spirit guides. You actually get your information (premonitions) from the spirit world.
Now, exceptance of your gift unfortunately lies within you. I think we all go through these feelings, especially when it is new to us and some it takes years and some they never accept and choose to close their psychic doors. I have been experienceing things since I've been a young child and I will honestly tell you some things still scare me at times. I can also tell you that if and when you decide you are comfortable with it, your abilities can grow even stronger. I wish I could help you further. To be honest with you, I'm still learning things myself. Of course, we will never know all the answers.

I'm knew to this but this experience on hearing what mystical2 said I have never had that happen. The thing with me is I feel like there are spirits around me. I was even told by (3) Different psychic's that I have a gift in this but I'm trying to figure out how do I accept it and use it. I can tell things will happen right before they do and it makes me afraid alot. When I was a 10 year old kid my Grandpa died and me and him was close. The weird thing that happen was the day of the funeral that night came and I was in my room sleep and it was dark in there I can see this like it just happen as I talk to ya'll anyway it was dark in the room and I all of a sudden there was this really bright light shaped like a person and was walking from the hallway towards me. You guys I wasn't even sleep I was just laying in the bed. I let it get close and than it frighten me and I all of a sudden it disapeared and I never saw it again. I am now 31 years old and I still see this in my head just like it's still happening. I also feel I can make things happen in my mind. I love burning candles it's something about the dancing of the lights that take me in another mindset. I hope I don't sound weird I really need someone help on how to accept this gift if I do have one. The (3) different psychic's from (3) different states have me very interested in my problem. Also I can see DEATH ALOT what I mean about this is not death from people aready gone but the living people that still walk around here now. I can see myself at people funerals family members,friends, etc... PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME... I NEED HELP... 😭

My Wife has a friend in another country who has introduced her to jewish books and something to do with scanning the hebrew alphabets and almost every time she wakes up at night to look at those alphabets, I have a sort of night mare but I'm not fully asleep.
I have tried everything to stop her from doing it but she won't and even says she would rather leave me than stop it.
Im so frustrated, there was a night when this thing, sort of dim glowing figure hovered over our bed and seemed to be holding my head and heart and I was really scared. What shes reading has similarity with kaballah.

A few times in the past year I have had a frightening experience at night time. It feels like I am half awake and half asleep. I try to wake up as I am scared but can not. Sometimes it feels as if someone is raising my legs up and trying to raise me up sometimes I feel that I am getting near to the ceiling and then I am very aware of lying on my bed and the room hazy around me. Then it feels like something is pressing me on my arms. The most frightening time was when it felt like I was being choked on the front of my neck. I felt like I was screaming but I do not think any sound came out. I cried "I do not want to die" I am a well adjusted sensible person but last night I was scared to go to sleep and kept the light on in my bathroom. I am a 30 year old mother to three.
If anyone could suggest what I am experiencing please let me know! Also I have moved this year but it happened in my old house in England and my new house in America so it cannot be to do with the house... Thankyou for your time.

My friend felt white light in the form of Ball or coconut in his hands last night, he is not sure if it was dream or reality, but he is sure that he was so freeked that he couldn't move at that time and was motionless for few seconds, was that an Angel spirit?

Man it's relieving to find people who feel this too. Just now I was going to sleep when I felt such a strong presence - I just freaked out. I've been meditating a lot and 'opening up' to my guardian angel lately, so maybe that's why I felt the presence but the reality of it scared me so much. But hey, if it is a guardian angel, why was I so scared when I'm supposed to feel calm and loved?

I went to a psychic and she said that I used to play with ghosts as child. I do not remember this at all! She said that I battle my demons in my dreams, which is good because I would freak out if it happened when I was awake (although I have had some experiences, like when you said you were so scared you had to get out of the bedroom. For me that was very scary, I never felt that scared before.) Not too long ago, I had a dream that a person was trying to get after me, and to protect myself I actually moved my hands in front of me to create a "ward". I learned it in my dreams. Now, during the day when I feel uneasy, in my mind I create a "ward" to protect me. You can also call upon your guardian angels to protect you, imagine a protecting bubble around you and those who you love. I believe, although I am no expert, that people can turn on and shut off their paranormal experiences. If you need to shut them off until you are ready to accept them, you will need to find an image or word that you can use in your mind to (close up your mind). One example, imagine in your mind a lock (a strong metal bolt is a good image). So lock your mind up from these experience when you feel threatened.

Im glad to hear that it is not just me that has these weird experiences during the state on half asleep/half awake. I swear that people are vistiting me while I am in this state of consciousness and has become more frequent in the last year since I have realised it is possible. What I do not like is not having control over it and not knowing who it is! Recently they seem to be physically touching me then I wake up. I hear voices but I can't understand what they are saying. I hope I'm not just imagining all this. Can anyone advise on how to control it as it make it last longer or try to find out who it is?

Hi. I believe it could be your guardian angel. Because a few months ago I heard a voice say something to me while I was in the shower. I didn't think much of it at first, I thought it was someone else in my house yelling for me. I replayed it over and over in my head. I began trying to talk to my guardian angel months ago and tried meditating. I read that people that can hear things like that are clairaudient. I believe I probably am too. You should read some info. On that. I read a lot of good books on Angels by Diane Virtue(I think that's the name). Hope this helps.

One night I saw a gold round light hoovering over my head for a few seconds and disappeared. A few other times I woke up to a pair of eyes watching me. It quickly disappeared within a few seconds too. I didn't feel scared. Should I be?

Hello I am 13 years old and last night I was reading my book and out of no where I here my name being called, in a really deap voice in my room wile I was laying on my bed, then I thought to put the tv on and a really funny part of friends came on and I herd it laugh... I was really scared then in the mourning I was taking my dog for a bath in the washroom and I could here it breathing is this a good spirit ir bad I need to know I always feel like it's watching me in my room... I see cloudy clouds over me in bed they flash at you if you cry they just won't go until they have finished. I see ghosts as well I've never got harmed. I know my future events I see the ghosts sometimes in my dreams. I think they could of told me how they died. Your mind is open when your asleep so its easy for them to get themselves in your dreams really.

Well, it sounds to me like you're unsure if its good or evil. Now let me tell you, if it was evil you would just know. There would be no question about it. You're only afraid of it because you don't understand it. I think you should do some more research and meditate. If it is your guardian angel, don't try to contact it, but just listen to it. If you think it may be trying to show you something, then follow it next time. However, it may have been just checking on you to make sure you're OK.

Should have put on the last comment. That it is very likely, it was your guardian angel.

But if you do experience it again, do the asking for help thing, and keep calm, and ask the question, who are you? You should get an answer.
