Waking Up Seeing Orb Like Circles

I am new to this site today. I was totally amazed when I started pulling stuff up on-line about balls of light, and orbs. I am so excited there are people out there like me that see this stuff too! I started seeing things like a big floating head in my room at night when I was about 10.

My Great Grandmother had recently passed away & I don't know if it's related or not, but that's when all this started. It was kind of like a head shaped cloud. I still see them but they are more like circles now. I saw some red ones the other night, I am 40 now. I have been seeing this stuff most of my life and like everyone else, I am used to it. Although being used to it doesn't mean that it doesn't scare me a lot when I wake up & it is right above my face! Almost every time I try and wake up my partner of 15 yrs, but of course he never sees it. He sleeps very heavy and never quite wakes up. I always panic, can't move... Almost frozen before I finally start to sit up and start breathing hard and saying my partners name to wake up! He just tells me to go back to sleep. I am not terrified, just panicking a little.

When I was younger I would yell for my Mom and my family knew I was seeing this stuff. They pretty much laughed it off, and I finally quit trying to tell people because I was starting to feel crazy. It's weird, I have never seen a full body ghost, just floating clouds or circles or shapes moving around in my room at night. It's always that I am woken up and when I see it, it moves away & goes into the wall or hovers for a minute and disappears. I also have wondered guardian angel? Spirit guide, or just a spirit? I feel special in a way that I can see them, but in a way I wish could see more. Well, then I just go back into the feeling that maybe I shouldn't dig too deep into this because I don't want to be frightened even more. I don't feel like the orbs I see are mean, more like they are watching over me. I have tons of pics where they are all around me. Looks like faces in them, they are perfect circles, some real big & others very tiny. It has been with all kinds of different cameras for years. This is awesome being able to talk about this with people that have similar stories.

Oh, and recently I have thought I heard someone saying my name over my shoulder and I get a cold chill on the back of my neck & no one there. Maybe happened 3 or 4 times in the last year. But I never had that happen when I was younger. I am wondering if I draw them somehow? They seem to be attracted to me & I wonder if they are my 3 Grand parents as well? Also, I had an experience when I was living in a new house and I was walking up the stairs and I saw man standing at the top of the stairs, only it wasn't his whole body, it was like there was swinging doors and his head was above them. He was like Egyptian looking with a turban and real real dark eyes with dark circles under them and he had a mean look and I was scared and screamed and stood there until my partner came out of the bedroom to get me. That was the only time I was ever frightened to the point of being terrified! And that is the only time I have ever seen one when I wasn't woken up from my sleep. It was very weird seeing that being wide awake before I went to bed. Any comments or similar stories you might have I would love to hear them!

I don't see the orbs myself really, to me I see flashes of white light and it's the orbs moving around the room. I can of course see them on cameras, but as far as with my own eyes, just the flashes of light.

I've searched all over the internet and this is the first time I find this exact description that I also experienced.
Sometimes, when in bed and trying to fall asleep I would open my eyes and there would be a dark orb right in front of my face.
It slowly fades away and eventually disappeared.

I also have night terrors and this is very similar but also very different. With night terrors i'm not in control and not aware what's happening.
The strangest thing is, with these orbs i'm totally awake and watching them float around my room for a brief period of time, then they always fade away.

Sometimes I see orbs of light in the corner of my eye for a brief second.
I am open minded but all of this has freaked me out a lot and i'm trying to find if it's some type of medical condition.

If anyone qualified has anwsers please post them here.
Also for anyone in the future, please post information if you have any sleep disorders, so we can figure out if this is related.

OMG! I'm 13 and when I was like 6to I saw a orb that was like a disco ball I saw it ONE time and I it was the last time is the saw the money and my pillow lol... But I saw it take the tooth and disapear so you can say its fake but I won't believe you

I didn't see orbs of light but a white and a black cloud. This morning as I was waking up, I opened my eyes and there above me was a white cloud, kind of like a soft edged triangle narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. I closed my eyes and reopened them. The cloud was still there but this time there was a black cloud behind the white cloud. I thought to myself, I don't like that black cloud, I looked away and then back at the clouds, and then I rubbed my eyes and looked again, they were still there. Then I asked "who are you" then immediately I answered "you must be my guardian angel". I turned away and looked out the window, the clouds were very dark, and I looked up at the ceiling again and they were still there. I decided to get up and turned on the light and the clouds disappeared.

For the last 5 or 6 months now I also have been seeing these orbs. Mine have been black, floating up and away from my husband's pillow, both while he was there and also when he was away. I also have seen a white orb and most recently (last night) a red one. They are not large, just the size of a small dinner plate. I actually have sat up and stared at them. The two black ones floated up to the ceiling and stayed there for a bit until I turned away to turn on the light. The red one last night actually floated over to me the second I woke up and stayed above my bed for quite a bit of time then faded. I actually had a dark, box shaped thing float from my door over past the end of my bed and right up next to me, only to disappear by fading away.

I also awoke the other day to a light being standing at the foot of my bed. I did not feel it was mean, it was just there, watching me. It was white but did not have a real solid shape, kind of blurred edges.

Most all of these occurrences have happened on my left side of the bed, only the black orbs were on my right, don't know if that makes any difference, but thought I would throw it out there if someone understands this sort of thing.

The weirdest one for me was one that I woke to about a month ago. It is hard to describe. It was like a two inch thick slice of red jell. It was horizontal right along the side of me in bed, but floating just a few inches away from me. Projected on it was the form of woman dressed like a gypsy or witch. But it was only her outline, kind of like a cartoon drawn on the jell, I guess the jell would be similar to a solid jello. Anyway, she was smiling at me in a very naughty, playful manner, as if she knew something I didn't. I actually screamed out and woke my husband. He called out to God and rebuked this thing.

I have had this kind of thing since I was a teenager, saw "Father Time" on New Years Eve when I was 12 or 13. So many other experiences I can't share them all.

I am intrigued to find out what these orbs are all about. Thank you for sharing your story, it makes me feel that maybe I am not as strange as I thought.

Thank you, alicia, for your comments! It makes me feel better knowing there is someone who undertstands. Alot of people don't & it kind of makes you feel "crazy". It relaxes my soul knowing there are people out there like you! I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavours!

I have seen orbs and balls of light, too. For me they show up at night above or beside my bed, or they move down my hall. I've even seen a large orb hover over the backrest of a chair as if someone was sitting in it. The colors of the orbs range from a pure solid white, to mottled white with a solid rim, to pink and even orange. So, no, you are not alone. There are many people who have seen such things. As to what I think they are? Well, there are many explanations, but I tend to think they are spiritual manifestations (that it is the easiest form for a spirit to take).
