Psychic Related, Or Merely Tricks Of The Mind?

My name is Rachel and I am 14 years of age. I found this site while surfing the internet, and was astonished to learn that others were experiencing the same things as I have, so I joined.

When I was little, about 4-7, I used to have imaginary friends. One was a boy who looked about 10 or 11 named Jimmy - he supposedly had no hands. I vaguely remember what he looked like, but he stuck around when I was around 4 and 5. He disappeared after a while. The other was a girl who was about 12 who always wore a yellow, mini-summer dress. She had straight, chestnut hair that reached her mid-back with the fronts of her hair in two braids, one on each side of her face. Her name was Suzie, and she often appeared when I was 6 and 7. She stopped seeing me when we moved. Looking back now, I'm not so sure if Suzie and Jimmy were really "imaginary". I now often wonder if they were spirits. Maybe they were. Or maybe they weren't. I'm not too sure. Is it possible that I was psychic then?

Besides those two imaginary friends, nothing odd has ever happened to me since -- well, until now. Strange things have been happening to me this week, and last week; especially during the last few days. I don't know if my mind/imagination is playing tricks on me, or if I'm possibly psychic, so I came to this site in hope of answers. The reason I ask is because one of my best friends is psychic, and she tells me that my psychic powers could possibly be awakening. She and two other trusted people are the only ones I have told my experiences to, but now that I found this site, I would like to discover opinions and perspectives from others to learn whether or not what I am experiencing is true.

First off: Recently, I have been seeing "shadow people"; figures of darkness in human shape, but they appear to have no apparent features. Whether they are too fast for me to see their features, or they posses none at all is unknown. However, one thing is for certain - they are fast. They appear to glide across walls or corners, and then mysteriously disappear within seconds. No one else seems to see them but me. They don't stick around; they just appear, quickly glide across a wall or corner, and then disappear. I have seen 4 so far, and they seem to appear within various rooms around the house - and I haven't seen them anywhere else yet. I'm just very uncertain to whether these "shadow people" are actual, unidentified spirits, or just a figment of my over reactive imagination. This is one thing I need answers to.

Secondly, over the past few days, I think I have been having premonitions/visions. One night I was lying in my bed with my eyes closed, just resting -- NOT anywhere near asleep. Then, suddenly, just as quickly as I had closed my eyes, I was in the dining room. I seemed to be staring at the wall blankly, and walking straight toward it. I kept walking until I ran smack into the wall, and hurt my head. I had shown no sign of pain, however, and continued to look emotionless, as if it hadn't affected me - only it HAD hurt a lot. Abruptly, my creaky, bedroom door opened then as my Dad came into my room, making me jump, and bringing me back to reality. I realized that the whole "walking-and-hitting-my-head" thing hadn't really happened, even though it had felt completely real during the event. Was this a vision?

Then, yesterday, I was waiting with some other students to be picked up from school. I was looking for my bronze car, and then I spotted it, taking a moment's stare before gathering my stuff. Then, I headed towards it. Only, when I came closer to it, I realized it wasn't nearly close to my family's vehicle. It was a jeep, even. And, I know I saw my car in that jeep's place. I had seen no jeep there, only the broze car. It was only until I was closer and but a few inches away from the car that I saw that it was actually a jeep. After realizing this, I went back to my spot and waited until, finally, minutes later when my dad came to pick me up in our blue vehicle. I think this was some sort of premonition - but I'm not entirely sure. And if it was, what is it supposed to mean?

I'm very uncertain if these things are psychic-related, or merely tricks of the mind. I've never had things like this happen to me before until now, and it's really important for me to know if I am psychic or not. And if I am, why have my abilities started awakening now? Why didn't they arrive in my early childhood -- or did they? I was hoping you all could help me out. Thanks in advance. =-]
