My Astral Traveling Experience

I have a reoccurring dream in which I can levitate and travel down a street over peoples head in the knowledge I can't be seen...however

Occasionally I can be seen and even encounter people who can do same thing. I can also hold somebody elses hand and levitate them with me.

Along with this I can levitate objects with my mind. I have heard of Astral traveling and it seems close to it, but a very pleasurable experience... Any one else experience this?

Also I can't understand these TV psychic mediums. Is it really possible to go into a studio and pick on an audience with cameras etc

And tell that someones loved one is contacting them? Not only that we have Derek Achora telling us our pets and our personnel objects are all given us messages! I feel that there are genuine mediums out there but the con men who rob people of their money and give them false hopes have their reward in full. If someone offered me £1000000 tomorrow to con someone that they were speaking to a deceased loved one. I would tell them to keep the money.

These TV mediums are totally soulless. I read that Derek Achora was drunk on a plane and ranted about a child crying to the parents shut that f****** kid up!...A far cry from his Bless, lovely lady routine he does on stage. I bet Sam wasn't impressed either!

My last point is it against the Bible to contact the dead?

I am tempted to visit a medium but don't know if this the wrong thing to do?

I think you're getting a little over-enthusiastic now ^^' I don't believe anyone truly knows the answers to those questions. People have different ideas, but at the end of he day I think it's up to you to decide exactly what you believe about these things.

I have two Grandaughters one is 2 and half the other is 1 and half. One Granddaughter is from my son the other from my daughter. Myself and wife always visit Son and Daughter together. Both Grandaughters avoid me but warm to my wife and never fail to be picked up by her. When I go to pick them up they avoid me and do any thing to get away from me... Is this something Spiritual or Physical.?. Is it because they spend most of time with women?

Wow...Many thanks for all your replies... I have read every one and appreciate your time given to explain things. What do people do in the afterlife? And is it very different from the world we know? And do we stay there. I have read of different levels (7) is this true?
Sorry to keep asking questions but I find the answers realy interesting.

psychiAngel:

You've helped me too! ^^ Thankyou for what you've written to johnk.

It's true, johnk, that your Guides are there to love and reassure you. When I felt scared recently, I asked for my Guides to send me a feeling of love and reassurance--and suddenly, I felt a warm bubble of loving kindness all around me!

I was also told by a psychic that one of my Guides was my twin flame in a previous life. I was just cooking dinner one night, and I suddenly had this feeling of complete and utter unconditional love surrounding me. My Guide didn't speak (or my clairaudience just isn't developed enough to be able to hear them yet) but my eyes suddenly filled with tears and I was so moved that my twin flame had chosen to protect me in this life time--I'm getting teary again just thinking about it!

So yes, though I'm not a developed medium like psychicAngel, I can feel the presence of my Guides when I need them most, and I'm sure yours wish to connect with you just as much, and are helping you in ways that you're not even aware of. ^^

Blessed be

Whoops - meant to say a Guardian Angel is very different from a protective spirit. Depending on the spirit, their role in supporting you - either as a family member or a member of a team working with your Master Guides - is to protect you with love and that love may take the form of giving you a feeling of comfort in a time of distress, reassuring you that you are not suffering in vain and that you do have family around you, especially if you feeling alone.

Master Guides operate on a different level in terms of their spiritual purpose, they essentially love you deeply and unconditionally too, but they have a very pre-decided structured approach to helping you... And, believe it or not, you already knew them before your spirit was born in to the body you are in and made an agreement to come to earth to fulfill certain spiritual development tasks, if you like and they have agreed to support all the way, to help you make the clearer, better decisions in life. They are here to guide and protect you to stay on the path ordained for you and that you chose to work on with them. They are concerned with your spiritual development on a very deep level (sounds a bit intense, because it is...:-) !) and to help you grow as fully spiritually as possible.
They help you acknowledge the unseen aspects of your spiritual life - often the stuff other people who don't really believe in this, scoff at and eg while a lot of people and their subsequent activities are focused on the world as a physical, material place & a lot of people often take the empirical view of things, the more you acknowledge and work with your Master Guide by asking for their help, even if you don't see them or think you sense them right away, they are always there and are never more than three fee away from you.

Master Guides are always connected to you and are the first to communicate if you are in danger! I was once told to communicate out loud to my Master Guide... I felt very silly but now, it was the best thing I ever did because obviously I can see spirits, but I never believed I was ever going to see my Master Guide, then I did...! So much for faith - but like many people out there, I needed convincing... And they certainly proved they are real to me over and over again with validations they have communicated that I often dismissed, then they happened (premonitions adn clairvoyance, in the main) exactly as I was told by my Master Guide they would.

While they are largely invisible to most people, absolutely everybody has one, they are there permanently... They never ever leave your side!:-)

You do have at least one Gaurdian angel protecting you in Verse. But this gaurdian angel can leave. It can leave for many things but mainly sins that you commit in life. It can be destroyed by a type of soul in Verse. Your loved ones can see you from Heaven I think... If they are a lost soul in Verse they can be near you... But eventually they will be guided to Heaven to be judged.

Hi jk,

I am glad.

In answer to your question: both. But although it's a lovely thought to want to hold on to, relatives are not Guardian Angels, it's just a term we've coined because our loved ones do look out for and protect us - if we pay attention to the signs and train ourselves to know what when they are communicating something... If it helps, as I feel you need to know this, the subtle signs that happen in your everyday life - that you might almost miss - are often when messages from loved ones and other spirits are trying to communicate.

A Guardian Angel, I've seen mine three times, and only once so clearly that I was in shock for the rest of the day, because these are truly on a magnificent scale! I can't even put in to words what I saw - I will cherish it forever, I feel tearful just typing this out now, because it was so powerful all my chakras buzzed at once & it was a real 'force' of protection... I was stood near somebody who was a very dark, destructive type of person who was sucking mein to believing they were caring especially about me and genuine but their world was dark and my GA stood to my right and I lost my breath in that moment. I, truthfully, didn't really believe in Angels in the real sense, I believed in the notion of them more than the actual reality but that left me speechless & I pray everybody sees theirs... They would never doubt again or ever take their lives and their purpose on earth - even if it is not clear right now - for granted...

Hello jk,

I am a genuine medium who actually dislikes giving readings because of the bad press mediums have had. I am also in a rest phase so am not on here to give readings but be part of a supportive community where I can share experiences and learn. As with all people, some are genuine, some are not. I can say for a fact John Edward is genuine, I think Tony Stockwell is also legit'... As a medium, it is easy to spot a fake.

I don't like criticising other mediums, because I think it's in poor taste and it's hard enough out there without us turning on each other, but mediums who give other mediums a bad name is one thing, but it is unfair for one medium to be judged by the actions of another - that could be interpreted as lazy, to tar everyone with the same brush. I have also seen a lot of people who don't have medium gifts, get very jealous and they attack mediums because they secretly wish they had these abilities to this extent themselves, despite the fact that we all have different levels and types of ability.

Where mediums work on a stage/in front of larger audiences etc there is a certain element of pressure in a studio that causes some to flannel, because sitters are not always gracious and grateful and I think mediums should be less afraid, like John Edward, of saying so rather than feel so under pressure they stretch the truth to please a sitter. Have you ever worked in front of a large audience? I have worked in front of a 700 seater audience packed to the rafters and I can tell you, that with those numbers, from the point of view of a medium I would imagine they just have to get through as many sitters as possibly as quickly as they can and while this may same 'conveyor belt', it is in fact aimed at trying to get to as many people as possible as there is always going to be inevitable disappointment from people who didn't get readings but with that many people they will try to make sure as many of those who came who needed a reading got one - it's just the nature of the audiences being so big.

As for mediums being souless I think the word I would exchange that for is 'irresponsible' and perhaps 'inconsiderate', I for one am extremely responsible and do no take lightly what I do with my abilities. At the end of the day we are all human, make mistakes and may unfortunately also regret them. But one thing that I interpret from what you feel about mediums and that I think is that there is often a lot of immaturity is evident and this goes for a lot of people, not just mediums but you would hope that being in the public eye would make them want to be more conscious of how they behave. The other argument I have is, if I was a well known medium and somebody wrote
About me that I was a horror, behaved disgracefully, etc etc, I would expect people not to listen to gossip and read rubbish in magazines and newspapers about me, and that they would decide for themselves based on what they actually witness for themselves.

The Bible is a huge area to debate in a few sentences, but for what it's worth, it repeatedly talks about life after death, everlasting life, Angels and basically the spirit living on. For centuries, politics and religion have intertwined for the sake of greed/money and power, and the church was a very devicive establishment for maintaining this control, even exploited by Kings so I, like Kathlyn, know that it is not against the Bible to speak to the dead, and while it is also not a given that everyone agrees with the Bible, it is worth saying that the Bible by repeatedly covering the theme of eternal life is, it oculd be interpreted as well, actually supporting with accurate accounts that spirits show themselves on earth and we live on.

I have dreams like yours and my Guides would say this is to do with not being grounded about and with your abilities, as out of body experiences - as Adaryn has already pointed out - are very different to this and frequently happen while you are wide awake,... Though what you are seeing sounds fun!

What causes a lot of distrust in TV mediums is that they make contacting with the dead appear to be like working on a conveyer belt... Week in week out churning out to an audience under full camera lights information about loved ones... Not only that they move to communication with animals and inanimate objects... And even over the telephone... I am sure there are genuine people with a gift... What do you make of these people... It seems it as gone a long way from sitting in a quite darkened room... Which I would understand would be more acceptable. Could a genuine medium reply to my question please?

I visit my dead grand parents and uncle in my dreams at first but now I choose not to. I live in the world of the living not of the spirit. I know that they love me is enough.

My grandparents truly loved eachother until my grandmother passed away I felt my grandfather nearby.

Love ones can visit those who they have a strong connection too.

My own feelings about Jesus come about not by organised Religon or people who set themselves up as teachers and priests who then go on to become child abusers, but by the very nature of his sayings and teachings which I was never taught at school. The love that this man showed and his great sacrifice... To me are the Truth.
I would liken Jesus to a fountain... And every so often I get a few drops on myself.

I don't think the whole bible against contacting the dead is completely accurate. We're all able to contact spirits, its just that some people have made it seem wrong and to be too 'god-like' therefore evil. As for animals and objects giving us messages? I believe this is partly true. Animals do have messages, but as for objects, inanimate things just carry information recorded there by people and events surrounding them. I don't see an object as a separate being capable of thought, unless it has a spirit attached to it (like examples of a house or an antique dresser or pair of shoes. Believe me, I've seen the whole shoe thing before! LOL 😆)

As for astral projection: Do you want to learn how to do it at will and travel to different realms or just know about experiences? My first experiences were of me seeing the top of the heads of people I have never even seen before and going to places I've never visited. Sometimes on accident I would knock something over and people would freak out about 'ghosts' moving things, meaning that they couldn't see me. There's a lot of things you can experience while out of body. Sometimes we do it by accident while asleep. I have a feeling that this is what is happening to you. But it can be done purposely and in a more controlled manner to make it a very enjoyable even fun and learning experience. 😊

My grandfather and my uncle did astral projection. It is VERY VERY VERY dangerous. All I have to say is that if you REALLY do want to do it than, NEVER NEVER NEVER let go of an astral cord, type of a string... Or you'll die. It is actually when your spirit gets out of your body.

Johnny K.

I think the best way to live in the teaching of Jesus is to help others. Like becoming a volunteer some organization that you truly believe. Perserving nature, help feed the homeless, and teaching or spending time with children.

This has nothing to do with psychic abilities.

johnk:

Kahlyn is right. Most Christians seem to know less about their faith than non Christians do! They get lost in their own self-righteousness, believing that they have the Truth, and all others are blind. I know, because I used to be one of them; I now realize that there is more than one way of being and of seeing the world, and that I was the one who was blind.

I was raised by Christian parents, though some of the things I was taught impacted me negatively when I was growing up.

I commented on another story that I used to have terrible nightmares about being "left behind" in the rapture, or death and destruction, when I was not exposed to scary movies. I was, however, exposed to the Bible even before I learnt to speak.

For a long time, the fear of going to Hell if I left the church had me firmly in its grasp, and it took me a long, long time to admit that I wasn't happy in the church, and that I truly did not believe in everything that I was taught.

Having said that, my parents instilled some wonderful values within me, such as the "do unto others" principle and the importance of loving one another. So I do not see all my former spiritual "education" as wasted.

I do not have children, but as a person who experienced being raised a fundamentalist Christian, and the impact that this had on me, I can tell you this:

1. Do not tell children about Hell, whether you believe in it or not. Children are not fully able to understand the concept of Hell, and giving them this concept before they are fully able to comprehend it will only frighten them, perhaps into staying in a church that does not help them grow spiritually. If they eventually choose to leave, it may take them many years to recover from doing so.

2. DO teach them the importance of loving oneself and others. This is perhaps one of the most valuable things I learnt from the teachings of Jesus. Stress the importance of the "do unto others" principle, even when they feel disappointed when others do not "do unto them". Tell them that God loves and delights in them showing love to others, and that we should not do something only because we expect to be rewarded. Giving is its own reward.

3. DO encourage free-thinking and open discussion. This was not something that my parents allowed me. To question was to doubt; to doubt was sin. To sin was to go against God. To go against God was to walk the path of the devil. Religion can be a wonderful introduction to the concept of a spiritual path and spiritual purpose; but one must remember that there are many different ways of seeing the world, and that our experiences of life are different. If you don't know the answer to a question a child asks you, admit that you don't know. Do not tell them that it is irrelevant; allow them to explore options. This is what helps us to interpret our experience of the world and to grow as people.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to email me if you have any more questions.

Blessings,
Adaryn7

Jesus' teachings are to love mankind and forgive their trespasses. That the simple saying that believe in god it not enough but do so through actions. The most important lesson is not to judge others by your standard. The last lesson is lost in the efforts to convert people to Christianity. Most of the people who are convert by Jesus done so out their free will not coerce into it.

I find ironic that those who do not believe Christianity often are the ones who know more about the history.

Thankyou all for your answers Can I ask where the teachings of Jesus fit into all this... Because I feel whenever I read his sayings it reaches into my heart. I want to live the life of a decent Human being but get confused by all the day to day problems.
I have two lovely Grandaughters who I consider a gift from God. And want to guide them in the right way... But sometimes I need help... Any advice please?

johnk:

1. The dream doesn't seem much like astral projection to me, but it certainly seems like fun! I could be wrong, but I have both flown and astral projected in dreams, and during the latter I usually experience a separation from my body and travel to another plane... It can be very difficult to decribe afterwards as it is not the reality we are used to.

2. You're right, there are many unethical psychics out there who fleece people genuinely seeking help for all they're worth. It's a shame, but all you can do is be the best person you can be ^^

3 That's a toughie. Having been raised a Christian myself, I have struggled with whether or not contacting the dead is wrong. Many Christians believe that mediums aren't even really speaking to the dead, but that they are communing with demons masquerading as the spirits of those who have passed on, and that IS a scary thought! I think at the end of the day it's up to you to make your own mind about what you believe, based on your own experiences of life. I have met a few demons before, and I can't help feeling that if it really is them that mediums are speaking too, they would know because of the horrible, negative energy they exude.

Hope this helps, and good luck on your journey

I think I know who can help you. You should ask D'Mint on this site. She is great help. The only one I would turn to for help.

She is a great person indeed.
And true to her words.
