Astral Projecting?

Hey everyone I am a fourteen year old boy and I have been aware of my abilities since last year at the age of thirteen. I can see auras, use energy to heal pain and injury, I get visions of things/events before they take place, my dreams sometimes come true, and I can almost hear people's thoughts (I know what they'll say a split second before they do).

Now something I have recently come across is, while lying in bed at night, if I concentrate on a body part, it starts to buzz and go numb. Soon I cannot feel the limb at all. After researching this, I found out this could be the starting of astral projection. Now, I would like to learn how to do so.

I have tried the meditation version where you have to go into a trance like state to achieve this ability.:/

But that doesn't work for me... Is there any other way? Plus, can you please give me an idea of what you can DO with this ability? Can you move stuff in the real world while projecting? What is the astral plane like? Is there really a silver cord that connects to your body? What can you do (fly, walk, run, teleport)? (sorry about all the questions but I had to meet the minimum requirement of 1200 characters:) feel free to answer them anyways)

Can anyone give me tips? Their stories? Is it dangerous? Tell me your abilities even if you can't astral project! Thanks everyone!:)

Well I don't need to say much about AP as you've got plenty of advice there;)

As for the tingling you feel in your body, it could be that you are becoming aware of your body's energy. You are probably already aware that energy flows throughout the human body, and through the bodies of all things. When I practice mindful meditation and focus on the different parts of my body, I can often "feel" them too.

Hope this helps

I second the information in MindHacker564's post.

Here's my added-on info:
1. Astral Projection is NOT dangerous. True, you can have bad experiences, but nothing you experience there can harm you.

2. From the experiences I've had, you cannot move an object that physically exists. However, if you can experience AP (astral projection) and remember to, you could try to experiment with this.

3. Yes, you can fly, run, walk, float, however you want to move around (I recommend flying, because it's fun).

4. If you're looking for an "easy escape route", there really isn't one. It seems to me you're trying to fly before you can walk. Try working with meditation first, and then, once you are comfortable with that, then try astral projection.

A "training wheels" of sorts you can try is Hemi-sync Tapes. This is not a "cure all" method, but they are helpful for beginners.

5. As for what you can do with the ability, that depends on your personal motives. Some like to visit the different planes, and meet the entities that can be found there. Others prefer the "learning" aspect, like the Akashic records.

6. You do not need a spirit guide to astral project. A Spirit Guide is there to help you, yes, but often they will not show themselves until they feel you are ready to experience them.

Tips and advice:
1a. Keep ethics in mind, and ask yourself if you want to learn to AP for the "right reasons".

I say this because sometimes, people just want to do it for not so great reasons. These people think that AP will let them "see what the [girls or guys] locker rooms are like", find the answers to a test, spy on someone, etc.

The basic thinking, in regards to AP is: "Hey, I can't be seen, so who's to stop me from doing it?".

Often, this fact alone will prevent them from doing just that, and also create a "barrier", which can prevent them from experiencing an AP.

The reason you don't want to do those things is because think about it, would you want someone to really be spying on you?

1b. However, there is nothing wrong with visiting places. So say you've never been to, oh, let's say Cedar Point over in Ohio. If you go there just to check things out, then there isn't a problem.

Same with meeting people on the astral. If you know someone that can AP, and you learn to, there's nothing wrong with visiting them, so long as they agree to it.

2. "Like Attracts Like" on the astral. If you try AP'ing when you are negative (sad, angry, etc), there are entities that will try to scare or bother you. Again, they cannot hurt you, but they assume that you don't know that.

However, if you go in happy, calm, and peaceful, they will tend to leave you alone.

The reason this is, is because your thoughts can literally take shape on the astral planes. It is for this reason also that you should try to get rid of any fears you have. For example, let's say you AP one day, and have a fear that entities will harm you. That "fear" creates a thought, which might take the image of a monster that tries to harm you.

3. If you are bothered by any entity, there are a few things you can try. The first is try to send the entity love, or pray to Jesus/another figure (animal totem, spirit guide, etc.). The other solution is to simply "fly away".

4. There is no "quick and easy" way of obtaining an AP. Don't be discouraged if you find that you cannot do it right away. It may take days, months, years, or even an entire lifetime to achieve.

Suggested Authors and Reading:
1. Robert Bruce- Astral Dynamics
-The book above I called the "astral bible", because it has a lot of information in there.

2. All 3 Robert Monroe books
-Journeys Out of the Body
-Far Journeys
-Ultimate Journey

These all contain Robert Monroe's "history" with OBE (astral projection).

3. Use this when you have more understanding of AP

Robert Bruce: Mastering Astral Projection: 90-day Guide to Out-of-Body-Experience.

The book above is a course that will help you achieve AP. I have not had the time to do this (yet), but if it's like Astral Dynamics was, then it's a good read.

If you need any more questions answered, I'd be happy to answer them. Also, I think if you click on my profile you can find my email.

I just (like seriously JUST) meditated trying to find one of my past lives and kind of did, but accidentally started to astral project. I'm sorta in the same boat as you now... Anyways, I am also an empath and can do some precognition as well.

How To Have An OBE

An out of body experience can occur spontaneously or intentionally. The famous scientist and out of body explorer, Robert Monroe, developed a set of OBE induction methods when he stumbled upon the OBE phenomenon in the 1950s. The most famous is known as the Mind Awake, Body Asleep technique. Now, anyone can learn how to have an OBE and astral travel to explore alternate dimensions and the nature of consciousness.
Step 1: Relaxation

To train how to astral project, find a dark, quiet room and ensure there are no distractions or time constraints. Lie down, with the arms and legs outstretched, palms facing up and head relaxed. With the eyes closed, focus on taking long, slow breaths.

Working from the toes upward, systematically tense and relax every muscle group of the body, finishing with the face. Imagine each body part disappearing into formlessness once it is relaxed. Try not to move. This can take 5-15 minutes to achieve effectively. Learn more easy meditation techniques.
Step 2: Visualization

It is natural for random thoughts and day dreams to interrupt this meditative state. When this happens, gently sweep them away and return the focus to slow breathing. Visualize sitting in a car and moving toward the horizon. Focus on the scenery while travelling along an unbroken white line in the middle of the road. Imagine the body is physically moving, drifting toward somewhere far in the distance. Keep the body entirely still and relaxed.

There are many other visualizations to try: anything that involves floating, sinking, or falling (eg out of a plane, through the bed) will allow the awareness to drift out of body. Move all focus away from the physical body as it lies still on the bed and quash any unwanted thoughts or inner dialogue. The aim is to fall asleep consciously; hence the term: Mind Awake, Body Asleep.
Step 3: Vibrational State

When the brain descends into a deep enough meditation, the vibrational state will begin. Try to remain calm, as this can be overwhelming or exciting at first. This is the window of opportunity to move out of body, either by rolling or sinking out - or by simply visualizing another place (the living room, or the roof). Do not look back at the physical body or the out of body experience may quickly end.

The vibrational state can sound also like buzzing or white noise, and is often accompanied by complete paralysis but only lasts for a matter of seconds. It will disappear on separation of the physical and astral body. Once out of body, astral travel is achieved through the power of the mind, to any location imaginable.

Scientists continue to debate whether out of body experiences and astral projection take place in reality, an internal dreamworld using lucid dreaming, or some other ethereal dimension. Only further OBE experiments will reveal the true nature of this other-worldly phemonenon.

Astral projection is sort of useless here on Earth. You can walk around here but your actions are limited since you really can't pick up anything and no one can hear you. Minus well walk around with your body.

Only thing Astral Projection is good for is for going to Verse. Only thing is this takes a lot of practice and you need a spirit guide. If your new at it. Once you get confortable to go to Verse by you self then you can actually use astral projection to the best of the ability.
