A Voice?

I have been wondering about this voice I have been hearing since I was about 11. I am a 13-year-old. I will explain it and I hope someone writes back with an explanation.

I haven't told anyone this yet because I am afraid they will think I'm crazy. My parents would seriously take me to a doctor to check my sanity. My friends would probably never hang out with me again, so I'm hoping one of you will have an answer.

When I was 11 I started to talk to this voice that would talk back to me. He sometimes helps me but he can also be a jerk. Sometimes he will go away and won't answer to when I talk to him, but he is usually with me. By the way he is not with me as I am writing this. He never tells me when he leaves either.

He is sort of like a voice in the back of my head. I have no idea what he looks like either or if he looks like anything. When I asked his name he wouldn't tell me, but he did say his name started with a J. He also said I could call him J. I don't know anything else about him, but he has helped me a lot.

I guess what I'm just wondering is if any of you have experienced something like this or if I'm completely insane. This is my first time writing down any of my experiences so sorry for any mistakes.

I have a similar experience as you where I speak to a voice who does similar things. He helps me if I need it, and he can also be a jerk, in that way he's 'human' not 100% angelic or perfect or always nice. I always try to get him to come back when he leaves, and a lot of the time he won't answer when I talk to him either, he'll just ignore me. But most of the time when I ask him to come he'll show in a day or two. When I was younger I wanted to be able to call him something, and the name James felt like it was his so that's how I refer to him.

Sorry for not responding for a long time I had some problems with my computer.

Adaryn7 I don't really feel a certian emotion when we talk. I sort of feel neutral.

MirrorsO He doesn't like to talk about himself. When I asked him he ignored me.

Like Adaryn, I don't think this is a spirit guide. I think its more of an attachment. It could be either an earthbound that is tagging along with you or something else entirely. My mother has one (that turned out to be a deceased tarot reader). The woman isn't her guide but has helped her out a lot during readings by telling her what is what with the knowledge she still carries from her life, though she is still earthbound. I've had a couple of them, but due to their personality quirks (they were very vocal in their likes and dislikes), I had to cross them over to give them a more balanced and less-judgemental state of mind. There's something about you that drew this guy. Could you perhaps get him to tell you more about himself? (if he has good intentions, he wouldn't refuse.)

coolkan55 what is the feeling that you get from this "voice"? Obviously you are interacting with some kind of spiritual entity, so how do you feel when it speaks to you? At peace? Wary? Bad? Trust your gut about these things.

I don't think it's your spirit guide as your spirit guide should never leave you or jerk you around. Describe how you truly feel about this entity during your interactions with it, as that will give us some clue as to what it might be.

And no your not crazy, I think it's a very good thing that you hear a nameless voice just like me. And it's strange were both 13, whens your birthday. Oh and hows your eyesight and do your eyes function wierd?
