My Circle Casting Experience

Lately, a lot of doom and gloom talk has been going on, so I thought I'd post this little experience to see what people thought, and to share something that I found truly amazing.

For those of you who know me from this site, you know that I'm a 13 year old Wiccan. For those of you who don't...well you do now.

A few weeks ago, I had a friend over, and we decided to cast a circle at about, oh, 5 in the morning. I decided to cast the first circle. So of course, I lit the candles as I greeted to each element. I turned the East, and asked the element Wind to join the circle. Then did the same with Fire in the South, Water in the West, Earth in the North, and Spirit in the Center.

I did a simple element appreciation circle. After finishing, I departed with each element, taking a clear jar to snuff out the candles. I departed with Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth, but saved Spirit for last as always. I had the jar on the candle to snuff it out for the same time as the other element, but with this candle, it reflamed as soon as I took the jar off. I simply smiled and said to my friend "It doesn't want to go out" And I have to admit, I felt a bit like crying.

Then my friend cast her circle the same way as I. When she got to departing with the Spirit candle, it took longer to burn out then the rest.

For those of you who don't know, the Spirit candle in Wiccan basically represents Life and the Goddess. And ever since that day when I cast the circle, I've felt so touched by the Goddess. Almost like for one moment, she decided to send out a signal to say "Yes, I am here"

I hope you all enjoy everyday. Treat it like your last. And remember, Light and Love can be found in the simplest places. Even in a circle.

That sucks that you have to watch out for parents when you are trying to advance yourself.

...crap. But we didn't really do any cermonial stuff. Just a simple circle to appreciate elements. It was our first time casting one, and most unfortunalty, our only time (my parents don't know and I don't know how to tell them) but if it happens next time I cast a circle, I'll be sure to tell you!

In ceromancy the candle not wanting to go out signifies that the spirits were telling you that the ritual you were doing was not completely finished as yet.

That's the time we were up at. When I have friends over, we don't get to sleep until 5 or later. But now that I think about, I think we cast it earlier. Maybe 2 or 3. I can't remember if we cast the circle then went online, or vice versa XD

I have a question though.
Why did you choose to cast the first circle at five in the morning?

That was a very interesting work you did.
I hope your coven grows ❤
