Lucid Dreaming, Vibrations And Feeling Like I'm Going Crazy

Wanted to post a follow up story to the one I posted on here a few weeks ago:

Firstly wanted to say that this site has been really helpful for me, because, I actually was a bit concerned about what was happening to me before and I've had the courage to explore this a little further.

However, I've relaxed and went with the vibrational feeling a few times and it's gradually got less intense and disappeared, I believe that this is something that needs work and eventually you can get into a state where you can have a voluntary OOBE - all of my OOBE's previously have been from a lucid dream state.

Anyway, so I bought the Robert Monroe books and started reading 'Journey's Out Of The Body' which is great, because it directly describes what I'm feeling, the sensations Robert was feeling when he first started to notice this phenomena. This had helped me relax with it initially, however, on Sunday morning I had a not so nice experience which left me feeling, well, like I was going crazy.

My girlfriend got up about 9:30am and for the next 2 or 3 hours I lay in, in a light state of sleep. I started off with a lucid dream and then felt vibrations and tried to go with it. I actually did feel like I was lifting out of my body, however, during that sensation, I could hear whispers, but could not make out what they were saying. The whispering was loud enough but it was like a language I couldn't understand.

This was very unsettling, and I'd be keen to hear from anyone who has experienced the same?

Anyway, the following 2-3 hours, every time I nodded back to sleep the vibrations came on pretty soon and because I was feeling uncomfortable, I forced myself to wake up, this must have happened about 6-8 times.

The one I do recall was I had nodded off into the dream world and was standing outside my apartment, the area was recognizable but the buildings looked much bigger, perhaps more futuristic. I looked up at this amazing giant building above me and realized I was dreaming, from the lucid dream state I could feel the vibrations again and attempted to go with it but again woke up.

Is it common to experience the vibrations from a lucid dream state?

Finally, upon waking up, I got up and went through to watch some TV with my girlfriend, but I still felt completely disconnected from the physical world, like part of me knew it wasn't real and this made me feel very nervous and apprehensive and like I was going crazy. I spent the next hour occupying my mind with trivial things, reading sports articles, browsing Facebook, just to try and feel normal, it felt like I was still dreaming although I knew I was awake, but an extra awareness in me now was casting a doubt over my perception of the physical world.

This has actually caused me a bit of concern, I don't want this to stop me trying to pursue Lucid Dreaming / Astral Projection. Just wondering also if anyone else has ever felt like this, like they are going crazy?

Thanks for reading my story.

Andy.

There was spirits nearby when you were astral projecting. Astral body or 1 over 9th your soul is capable to be controlled over and exactly the replicate of the original body but the astral body is able to understand 2 realm. Unlike the physical body only one realm.

There is language in the spirit realm. Totally different than human language. They don't pronounce alphabetical characters. Totally weird me out. But they can learn to speak your language through their masters. They have tutor/ancestor who can teach them knowledge.

Maybe this has already been covered, but its late and I just found this site but wanted to say something about the vibes I've had them too and as far as my limited experience will let me make a somewhat educated guess about them I'll say that you might have been laying on your side as opposed to being on your back. Laying on my back works for obe (or did, everythings been off the table last 3 yrs.) on my side I get vibes. I think I like this forum, more tomorrow maybe but until than do yourself a favor pray that GOD goes "in" with you, if not you might not have enough sanity later to now the difference between up or down. I can elaborate later.

I was going over my comments about if it is possible to become possessed while astral traveling.

In astral traveling, the physical body still have some of our awareness when we leavce it. So the body along with the astral cord will pick up when an entitiy will try to do this and warn us in time.

I do hope this clears up that topic.

Tim, that's cool - sounds really similar to what I'm experiencing. Almost exactly the same in fact, except that most of the time mine appear to be bad trips. Had one of those lucid dreams the other day that is hard to wake up from. My usual method of fighting it didn't work, but strangely, relaxing a bit and opening my eyes worked?! Was really weird.

I dreamed I was sitting up in bed, the bedroom was completely different, a strange yellow glowing atmostphere, I realised I was dreaming but lost complete control, I dreamed my girlfriend sat up and told me that the window was open so whatever I was going to do, I'd have to do quickly because I wouldn't have control for much longer (something about my powers or some powers leaving through the window), it was really weird. I looked at the window and saw my dads face (who is still alive) and then I just frekaed out, tried to wake up but couldn't. Panic set in, I tried just relaxing a bit and opening my eyes instead of struggling and it worked. I heard noises too and felt vibrations that were far stronger than a dream. Was weird.

What you're describing is awesome, I've never managed to have that much control, just have slight control. I think partly because I have an active imagination my mind is always wanting to think about something. I feel like fear is making me lose control in the lucid dream state, when I become aware I am dreaming, I feel like I don't have any control and I want to wake up straight away.

I think your deeper or 'frozen' state some people might put down to Astral projection, but you'd have to speak to someone more experienced than me! When you are in this deep state, is there anything happening that is normal? Like, are you seeing things/people that exist in the physical or is it all strange scenery and entities?

I only posted on this site because after a few 'dream' experiences that seemed more real than dream and progressively getting that way, I wanted help and I found a lot of helpful posts on here so wanted to put up my own experience.

You should post up one/some of your stories, especially if it seems more paranormal than normal.

Oh and yeah, I'm in Australia but actually from Scotland, been here for a couple of years. Nice country! You from the States?

Rashidah - thanks very much for the vid, was a really interesting listen. Tim - you should have a look at this.
I'm going to check out some of this other guys videos.

Right on man, appreciate it. I have pretty much learned to control it also or at least recongnize what's happening. I don't do drugs, but it kind of feels like its either a good trip, or a bad trip. Half the time I enjoy the experiences, I am able to control my dreams. I can dream about anything I want, and go where ever I want. Do things I have never done before and things I have never even thought of doing. When I'm having a "good trip" I can easily switch dreams, and just open my eyes when I'm ready, or in some cases not ready and just wake up. It seems like when I'm having a "bad trip" I am in a much deeper state, almost frozen, and unable to control the dreams or situation at all. I cannot make the voices stop (sometimes creepy children laughs), nor the vibrations and fight tooth and nail to just be able to pry open my eyes.
Anyway though, its just good to know other people have the same issue, its been about about 7 years off and on with this, and I didn't even know how to look up what was happening until I stumbled across your post yesterday. Australia huh? Never been, but ill make sure to check it out next time I'm having a "good trip" lol!

Take care
- Tim

Hey Tim,

Thanks very much for posting your story, makes me feel better to know that other people are going through the same thing.

I've never been a very religious or spiritual person so have found it hard to connect with some of the posts on this site (Angels and Demons etc...) however, a book that I just read that has helped me a lot is, "Journey's Out Of The Body", by Robert Monroe. In the book, he describes how the sensations just came on all of a sudden and he was scared. I was/am too, it's frightening. The phase after this, according to him, is Astral Projection, which I think I have done, but not been aware of, but I in no way can control it and make it happen naturally. Like you, this happens to me in light sleep, usually in the morning on weekends when I can lie in a bit longer.

I've only had the demonic voices once and I'm not sure if they are actually there at all or it's my fear. Or maybe they are there and my scared interpretation is making them seem evil. Anyway, what I do is, force myself to wake up. But recently, when I've felt in the right frame of mind and relaxed (this book helped me to relax about it), the vibrations get a bit more gentle and are pleasant and then disappear, or get to a frequency where I no longer notice them.

Regarding the dreams, the same thing happens to me too, in this state, sometimes I shut my eyes and I'm dreaming although I know I'm still awake, or mostly awake. It is really uncomfortable.

It's a bad experience when you are not relaxed or scared. So all I can say is try and relax when you feel it and I bet when you do you'll find it's not that bad. Prob about 1 third of the now I can go with it, but getting better all the time.
But also agree it feels like something bad is happening, somebody is trying to pull you out of your body (to posess you or something) or that you could be dieing!

Anyway, hope what I've said helps, I've only just started to look into this and try and figure out what's going on (from 4 to 5 years of experiencing infrequent vibrations. I'm 29 By the way.

All the best,

Andy.

Hey BIGM. I just read both of your posts. And I have literally had the same experiences. Last night I would lightly fall asleep, and I would feel my brain begin to shake. There's no other way to explain it. It was like something was trying to pull my own being out from inside me. Like a tug of war with my soul, and I can baaaarely hold on. I have had these dreams (or whatever they are) for a few years, but the ones that really bother me are the ones like last night. When I get the strong vibration, ringing and "evil demonic voices" weaseling into my head. The voice and buzz starts off slow and raises in volume and intensity pretty quickly until I dig my feet in for battle. I know what's happening now days, I'm aware of it. But when it comes to this evil experience, it feels like if I don't fight to wake up, something bad is seriously going to happen. Last night I actually had dreams within dreams. I would fight to wake up, only to realize I still wasn't awake.

Rashida - thanks for the comments and for posting up that video, I'll have a look at it when I get home from work tonight.

Shaolin - thanks for your comments, I am still trying to figure out what I'm experiencing and if I should let it go. Sometimes when the vibrations start, I fight it because I don't feel in the right frame of mind (negativity) and it feels dangerous and the vibrations are quite stressful and aggressive. When I'm in a good frame of mind the experience is good and the vibrations are pleasant.

However, I'm not going to put it down to Astral Projection until I see something that convinces me 100%, like, experiencing something in the Astral world that can be verified in the physical world as at the moment they just seem like advanced Lucid Dreams (and I'm not even sure what Lucid dreams are yet - well, what they mean in the bigger picture).

This morning around 6:30am I started to lucid dream and felt vibrations and I acually believed I was sitting on the couch and I could hear what seemed to be 2 people having a phone conversation about work. Have nothing to evidently back it up, but it felt real, anyway I started to notice the vibrations were quite aggressive so I opened my eyes and I was in bed, but at the time I actually thought I was on the couch.

It's strange, because I knew I partly knew was dreaming and I felt like I was tapped into something, but I believed I was on the couch and not in bed. Probably just a vivid dream.

Rashida you're not the only one with experience here, hence the theme of the website as a whole. The way you say things makes you come off as pushy and a know it all. Please say it in an instructive way not "im all that and a bag of psychic potato chips"

TheBigM. What you experience could be many things, as many experiences can and do seem like one thing, but are another, think of medical problems, so many symptoms that point to 3 or maybe more medical issues, but only one is right. Find your path, and find yourself. Dont let anyone tell you who you are or who you should be. Rashida means well, but the way he came off made it seem like everyone else but him and the other Boobay are inexperienced.

Astralboobaby is also an EXPERIENCED astral traveler like myself. Thousands have seen his videos.
He made this video to clarify some of the superstitious myths surrounding this phenomena.

I hope his videos give you a clearer idea. Astral travel is not to be feared. Take it from me.

Oh, I forgot to mention kundalini awakening (your energy systems, mainly chakra systems) becoming more and more active, beyond the normal, life sustaining state, can feel the same ways. It also messes with projection, as your energy systems are a key part of it, of course, since youre using your own energy to do it.

It's possible to take control of the energy systems, minus the soul pretty quickly by grounding into someone or slowly changing their energy to match your patterns. With the soul and the physical body, it can and usually does take immense amounts of time, maybe years, to get full control over the physical body, and even longer for thew soul if youre strong willed and know how you are. To be honest the shorter the time its done in, the more notciable it is, and less adept you have to be to notice it. Immediate possession takes immense energy and it can be felt, and it feels like your nervous system is convulsing a little, not so much literal vibrations, but like there's too much energy in your nervous system, so you get jittery or tense, really fast, and you might get angry or irritated.

If that was possible everyone would be possessed.

This have never happened to me, nor have I ever heard anyone who actually had EXPERIENCE with astral traveling said that happened to them.

I can put my head on a block that the author of this experience had never experienced a being trying to get into his body.

And I am pretty sure if you two ACTUALLY astral projected, that never happened to you all either. If it did, how come you are here today 😕

Rashidah, It isn't that impossible. If someone has enough energy, Which is NEAR impossible, then they can get in.[Without notice] However the massive energy they would have to project would be too immense to hold it for more than 5 seconds.

but sometimes you get stuck. Like if you talking to dead and they want to go back to world and trying to confessed you to get into your body. It happened to me before. I mean I'm just saying if anyone asks you for that.

That is superstition.

It is impossible for people to get into your body while astral projecting.

Just as how as soon as you get scared you come back into your body, you will sense a danger like that and come back into your body. When astral projecting, you are more aware of other entities. So you will know if they will tried to do that.

I believe that lucid dreaming is very real and that you are awake when you are having them. I know this sounds weird but lucid dreams to me feel too real to just pass it off as just a dream.

I think the reason why you started having them was that a higher power was trying to show you more to life than what is on this material plane. I believe that higher power like the wise old woman you encounter is trying to guide you through astral projecting.

Continue the good work ❤

i can astral project out of the world. And please belief me when I get the chance I will post stories about what was going on with my life. As soon you feel that sensation stay and don't go because it might cause some problems and when you see people asking to get in your body always and every time say no. And try to confess them this is a better place and make them think that because it is.

Hey Rashida,

Thanks for commenting on my story again - I'm interested in hearing your opinion and reading your stories:)

If I did Astral Project out of my apartment, I don't recall actually moving there as I was in the dream state then became aware I was dreaming, then when I looked up at the building I was overwhelmed, then the vibrations started.

I am going to have to work hard on letting myself go and accept the sensations afterwards, like I said, after an hour or 2 I started to feel normal again. I think I'm really starting to ask myself a lot of questions on what reality is at the moment and it's causing me to feel a little disconnected from the physical world.

My whole thoughts on life are changing since I've actually looked into these experiences. You start off worrying you are going crazy and you end up finding loads of people that are going through the same.

When I think back to when these experiences started, I came out of a bad relationship, I analysed and realised I'd never really had a good one, I didn't believe in love and didn't really see the point in life. I had no thoughts of suicide, but literally felt like I wouldn't be bothered if I died (I was still scared of death however).

It was when I felt like this these experiences started happening. However this comes about, it's almost like it's happened for that reason, to show me there is so much more than the physical world and to make the best of it here.

Thank you for giving us a follow up on your experiences.

Vibrations are often felt during O.B.Es.
I hear whispers too. But after awhile I understand what they are saying. You have to remember that some beings do not speak english. As you continue your training, your ESP will develop more and you will get to understand them a lot clearer.

I think you may have astral projected out of your apartment. That is really amazing. Keep practicing. I read about someone who can astral project out of the country... Literally 😐

After an O.B.E, you can still have the sensations that you are not back to your physical body. I sometimes feel light headed when I come back from my astral travels.

As I may burrow a phase from Astralboobaby;

Happy Travels 😊
