Between Worlds

I've been having oobe's since I was a child, but it was always involuntary.

Recently, I accidentally induced one. I had just gotten through giving my son a bottle. He was asleep, so, I was letting him lay in my arms for a bit before putting him to bed. I was tired though not in a position to really fall asleep. So, I did as I often do and just let my mind wander a bit... I then started to focus my attention on a shadow. After a couple of moments I felt a bit odd, started to get up and realized that I felt lighter, different somehow. I then realized I wasn't in my body. I was excited because most of my experiences with astral travel have scared me half to death, but I wasn't afraid at all...Though, I went back because I couldn't leave my body unattended while my son was lying in my arms.

However just for fun, I kept lifting up and feeling my spirit rise without my body. Eventually, I stopped to go put my son in bed, but as I was getting up my body did rise, but I could feel my spirit rising as well. My vision was also a bit off... At first I thought maybe something is wrong with me, but I then felt as though I was literally feeling both worlds at one time. I've always been aware of the physical and spiritual worlds, but I've never experienced it at the same time. It wasn't frightening just different. I've been that way off and on ever since that night. It's definitely something that would take getting used to if I had to be that way all of the time. Has anyone else experienced this and/or know what's going on?

i have been astral projecting since I was little to. And it is nothing to fear, only another opportunity to learn, in fact if you could give me some tips on it I would appreciate it. 😐 😊

hey I wanted to email you but you don't have a listed email. So could you email me and talk about physics and religion. I have a BA in both Biology and Religious studies with a minor in Chemistry and I'm doing research as well and would like to write universal laws of the spirit world similar to newton's laws of motion. Will you help me in my research?

i always think of astral projection as a vacation, you can go and visit anything or anyone, but you still have to come back home and feed your body and deal with life here on Earth. Besides most of my love ones wouldn't recognize me if I tapped them on the shoulder and I get lonely. Its fun to play but don't forget your responsiblities or just abandon everything here in this life just to experience things you can after you die. Its like photographies and memories, you'll regret not taking and savouring them later.

I only felt that way once and I wasn't alone. It wasn't scary or anything, and that might have been because I'd seen the shadow near me before. He was familiar but didn't speak. This was when I was 7 and I cannot do this on purpose.

Very interesting. It a little different with me...

Try wiggling a toe if you get stuck out of your body - move your fingers around real fast (if you're not holding a baby). I haven't had the same problem, but got that tip from a reliable source.

Yes, I have, Darkstar. And I am starting to feel more at peace with this and various other things. Ty.

Have you astral projected since it happened? If so I would say your feeling at peace, if not your probably still semi projecting.

Darkstar,
That's a good point. However, the next day when I woke up I pretty much felt like that off and on all day. And I'm still feeling it off and on since then. Though, not nearly as much or intensely as I did to begin with.
That night I thought maybe I was just in a hypnotic state and was having trouble bringing myself out of it, but then when it kept persisting I was clueless.

It sounds like you are getting the hang of projecting such that it is become easy to do. Pretty soon here I would imagen that you should be able to do everytime you go to sleep. The semi projecting while awake was probably because you were half asleep but awake thus you were projecting yourself the same time you were awake.
