The shadowy figure you mentioned definitely set off warning alarms in my mind. Never trust the shadowy figure.

I've been aware of energy beings for most of my life, and I know when things are dangerous. I've sensed malevolent beings before, and they always felt like darkness and bad intentions.

If you're not allergic, try burning sage or a peaceful-scented incense. Sage is a cleansing herb used by many people who believe in the metaphysical and spirits. It'll help drive off negativity. Lavender incense is also a good one to try.

As for the dragon, I definitely recommend taking her advice. She could possibly be a Spirit Guide. Mine are a large black wolf and a large white wolf. One is male, the other is female. Both protected me many times, and I've always felt safe around them. Everyone has at least one prominent spirit guide, but the spirits can only offer help. It's up to those being guided to accept help.

LoveLetters, I haven't read the other comments yet but I used to have a dream similar to that one when I was a teenager.

That's why I didn't pay much attention to boys or like the dicussing sex, etc when I was in high school. I was told if I became impure I would not be allowed to see unicorns anymore. Due to various things that would take to long to post, I know its true. I don't see unicorns anymore, but I still retain other powers and have since learned new ones. You are in the "maiden/virgin" stage of life. Enjoy it and learn as much as you can to prepare yourself for the rest. If you chose to remain one for the rest of your life that is fine.

However,I wanted to have kids so I am now in the "mother" phase of life and learning what it has to offer.

In my dream the dragon family that adopted me lived in an active volcano and taught me how to fly and open gates into other worlds. The baby dragon and I grew up together and they still visit but not so often and only when I've meditated and purified myself for at least three days. Normally during my monthly menstration period. I wonder if there is a correlation.

Anyway thanks for sharing your experience and learn as much as you can, but be careful the darkness and shadows watch those who communicate with beings of light. I'm glad you're unicorn protects you.

Archetypical imagery:) There's both ends of the spectrum to look at in that respect. Also that the archetypical imagery itself in the collective unconcious could be changing.

Wow. Thats an interesting one, and not to discredit, but heres the first thing that came to mind when you said this:

"I was completely surrounded by fire, and I had one wing -completely black. It looked just like an angel but totally black. I was holding this huge long sword like the kind in samurai movies, but it was really huge."

Sephiroth the one winged angel, with his sword, maramusa or something like that. I've seen that EXACT image, sephiroth in a firey background. Not sure bout the dragon though. Have a nice day.

I admit I smiled when I saw the name, but as names have power, it's possible the spirit just picked the first one that it liked that 'had power'.

These days there should be no surprise that the name of a dragon from something 'worshipped' by millions of people (who donate money to it monthly) would look appealing to anything a s a'power name'. I don't usually expect the spirit world to understand internet gaming on the first go.

It's going to speak to people in languages that it think they will understand, and then our personal way of viewing the world will continue to shape the forces in the world into forms we can discern.

If you didn't know about this Onyxia is a dragon from a game called world of warcraft.

This might be a connection to the parallel universes and how each has something in common therefore we have Onyxia of the game and of another dimension.

I think your dream widely resembles a connection to the fantasy world and universe.
