I am 25 years old. When I was a child I used to get a strong sense of de javu quite regularly and see things as they were about to happen. I knew I must have dreamt these things. It would be normal day to day experiences like in class, playing with my friends I knew what would happen or know I had heard what they had said before. This also happened when our house was flooded I had a flashback of the water all running down the walls where our family pictures hung. As I grew older these feelings of dejavu seemed to disappear: (I don't know if I closed this door myself with my behavior, drinking and not leading as good a life as I had before. I have been living a better life since the birth of my children and trying to live life the best I possibly can.

My great grand mother was psychic and I have been told by spiritualists/mediums before that I have important dreams I should take note of, and I that I have psychic abilities and will have severe psychic episodes when I turn 30. Recently I have 3 times experienced smelling very strong smells that are only there for 20 seconds or less and then disappear. First time was strong cigarette smoke when no one was smoking, then the strong smell of smelly feet when I was in the car with my children last week and last night when I was tucking my son to bed I smelled a lovely smell like strawberry cupcakes its as though these smells come from inside my nostrils rather than the surrounding environment, I don't know how to explain.

I have always believed in angels and over the last year I have communed with them and when asking for help in life I have received.

When I am lying in my bed at night in the dark (the only time of day I have total silence and can relax) I often get these pictures flash in my head of faces I do not know, it frightens me at times, and its like I can feel energy all around me in the dark. I do not want to be scared of this. If I am psychic I would like to develop my gift and grow spiritually.

Any comments or help would be much appreciated.

I have a strong sense of smell as well. People, places, memories--I can smell and eat in my dreams. I am 15, so i'm not too experienced with this, but I try to think that the smells have little meanings. I get worried whenever I smell blood or iron, but sweeter smells usually intone something nicer.

I was awakened last night by perfum smell. I didn't recognize it but it smelled good. I'm afraid of what I'll see if I look around so I bury my head until I fall asleep. I tell my husband these things and he thinks I'm crazy. There is nobody in my life that wouldn't look at me like I have 3 heads if I shared.:/

Recently I have been smelling smoke, open fire smoke, cigarette smoke, flowers, perfume among others. No one else can smell them. I also see faces that I don't know as I am relaxing. I'm not exactly sure what they mean, but perhaps you are meant to help them or they will become a part of your life later on. I once felt a presence in my room and then got a flash of a young man. Very vivid. This, I am sure, is the spirit. Perhaps what you are seeing are spirits also, sometimes they connect with us in different ways. As for the smells, usually smoke is just spirits way of contact. Or sometimes they might have even smoked in their lifetimes. A new and interesting theory is that if you are spiritually advanced and smell smoke, is that you are actually smelling yourself. This is interesting, and would be great. But in your case what I think your smelling is spirits. Don't be too concerned. Wash up on your clairsentinence (feeling/sensing) and feel whether the spirits are good or bad. But remember, its all got to do with your perception. So if you think negative thoughts, as though its a negative spirit, then it will be, according to your perception. Do yourself a favour and feel no emotion to it, unless you feel its good, then you want to add good emotion to the bunch. Never listen to the ego, it only wants to bring you down.

Hello,
The smells are from each of the spirits. That's how they let you know they are there. Oh, don't equate a stinky smell with a bad spirit. Sometimes they want to get your attention so that's why they make that aroma.

Ask them what they want if they give you a reply try to help them as much as you can. But if the request is something evil like give me your body or something like that you probable don't want to help them. I dought that it is evil though.

What do you do if you feel someone is tring to reach you through a smell and how do you know who it is? I know several people who smoked before they died. I did have a boss that was like a dad to me that smoked like a freight train. I would be going over paper work standing beside him and smoke boiling up into my face. He was a chain smoker and would sometimes have 3 going at once. And if it is him, what do I do?

I found this site because I to am looking for answers. About 2 months ago for the first time I had a very strong taste and smell of perfume as if someone had sprayed it in my face. No one else smelled it and it was not for instance a perfume that my late grandmother wore or anything like that. Now for the last 3 days I am semlling very strong cigarette smoke in my nostrals. No one smoking around me. I can't seem to shake it. I also have dreams that started years ago. For example: my grandfather had pasted away and I dreamed of him driving up to our house in his car and I asked him what are you doing here? He said I came back after Sam who is his brother. I asked my mother about my uncle, if he was ok and she said as far as she knew. Within a year he died. This has happed to me several times with family members. Wish I knew what to do, if anything. I am really tired of smelling this smoke. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't mind enhancing these abilities if I knew how to handle them.

Finally I know I'm not the only on smelling things that are not really there! I may not be as strong as you but I know that there is probably a spirit trying to reach you with these smells. Different smells have different meanings for example the smoke could mean that you have a spirit in your house that probable smoked in their lifetime and might be reaching for help to pass on. I still remember the smell my sister's blessed stachue gave me before I was attacked. It gave a rose smell. ❤

"I think the dead want to tell us many things, but we are not open to them, and can only get bits and pieces; Like smells, and flashes of things" - yeah I agree with that jessica1 I was at my partners grandmothers funeral last year and before I left her house the night of the funeral I went to the spare bedroom to collect my coat and I could sense that there was someone there with me when I asked if she was there as soon as I said her name the light started flickering. My partner came into the room and when I told him what happened as soon as I mentioned her name again the light started flickering again.

Thats so strange you get these smells too. I wonder what it is.

I've also had the strange faces, and dreams of things for so many years that it has just become part of my life. I have talked to a few people that I didn't realize were dead. My aunt, right after her death, came to me when I was a small child. No one had told me sahe was dead, just that she was gone. She wondered why I could see her, but no one else could. I think the dead want to tell us many things, but we are not open to them, and can only get bits and pieces; Like smells, and flashes of things.

I have that happen to me. I smell cigarette smoke, when I ask other people if they smell it, they never do. It's like someone is smoking right next to me, but then it disapears. Strong & clear smell. And I do smell dirty feet when I'm driving quite often too. Sort of overwhelming, then it's gone.

I have never had a strong smelling sense. But something weird and kind of funny is my taste. Sometimes out of no where I can touch things and know its taste through touch. I'll immediately know what everything I touch tastes like 😜 This only lasts for a day, and I don't find this useful 😆

Thank you so much for your opinions! I don't want to talk to my partner about this as I don't think he would understand. I think I may be holding myself back though. When I see these faces or images materialise I get a bit frightened and I think this may be what is holding me back.

How do you communicate with ghosts? I am just scared of seeing or communicating with anything of a dark nature, it's that fear of the unknown.

Thanks. I agree with your statement regarding alcohol it's brought a lot of people I know nothing but misery.

I smell things before the smell is there for anyone else. Don't know why or what the heck it is, but there you go. True that you should pay attention to your dreams. They mean stuff. I get deja vu often as well as visions and dreams that happen.
If you do start having severe psychic experiances, the ones who send you stuff should train you into it. Gradually get you used to it. For me it just brought more violent visions and came more often. Though you do learn about yourself. It brings perspective and responsibility. No point in worrying until you get there though, right? It may be wise to do a bit of research and if possible, speak with ghosts. They can expain things better than I. Do so telepathically if you try. It helps a lot.
I am so glad to hear that you are living a better life after alcohol. If everyone was strong enough to do that, this World would be a much better place. It brings a little hope, so thank you.
If you advance, I think you will be a strong psychic.

Well, I'm 16. I don't know about the smells, but I get the faces I have never seen alot! I also have dejavu alot. Yu could be potentially a very stong psychic.
