High Pitched Tones In Ears?

for a few months now I've been noticing these strange, high pitched sounds in my ears, mostly in the right ear. Sometimes it stays there for a long time, and other times I only hear it for two seconds and then it goes away. Another time when I was in my room taking a nap I kept hearing these static sounds in my ear. I don't have any ear or hearing problems either. Does this mean I am developing clairaudience or something psychic? Does anyone else hear high pitched noises in their heads? Sometimes when it gets really loud I tell it to go away and it does. What could this be about? Can anyone help, because I've been wondering what these strange sounds are for a while now and I've been wondering if anyone else hears the same. Sometimes I get them at night when it's quiet but then it's rather loud and I can't go to sleep for a while. Am I hearing things from the other side? I don't listen to a lot of loud music (although I admit that I do sometimes). I haven't been hearing these sounds my whole life, I only just noticed them about a year ago. If you hear these high pitched tones as well could you tell me about your experience? My mom says that they are beings that are trying to get into your aura but I'm not sure. Please reply and thanks for any help!

Hi Sapphire Rose,

I had to read to the very bottom reply to see your comment about the voices you heard clearly in your head and the white light. I now see more years have passed since I had thought, so hopefully, you have answers now. Be careful with voices. Don't give away your power or authority to them. Don't fall for the ego trap that the voices are extra special and therefore you must be, too. There are 7 Billion corporeal humans with voices, so noncorporeal voices shouldn't convince you that without a physical body they are somehow more special than those 7 billion.
If you have been communicating with voices, find yourself a living flesh and blood teacher who is humble, upright, trustworthy, wise, and knowledgeable.

1- Regarding OM sound, the primordial sound is the "unstuck sound". It comes from everywhere, it has no source, it would not be heard through just one ear, it will not sound like a sound that can be reproduced in the material world (by striking things against each other).
2- I personally believe it stands to reason that tinnitus resulting from a medical problem with the ear will not disappear when commanded to leave. Your medical professional might be intrigued to find out that you can make it stop.

This is a late reply, but I am posting because I hope it can be useful for you and/or others who read the post. I will be to the point:
1- it sounds like your mom knows what she's talking about. There are many people familiar with spirits, energy, and auras, but very few have the real world experience to make that call as bluntly and straightforwardly as your post suggests your mother has.
2- regarding the clinical word "tinnitus", don't let the word "condition" fool you. Tinnitus is simply a word that the medical community uses to refer to ringing in the ear when there is no known external source of ringing. The causes of tinnitus are clinically mostly unknown- I've been told by medical experts- although sometimes some causes and reasons are hypothesized such as deposits in the inner ear (which cannot be tested or verified medically, but can have a scientific basis. You can consult medical experts on the ear to find out how much science there actually is for knowing the reasons- it is not my profession.
3- sometimes you tell it to go away when it gets too loud and it does. Most likely your statement is bringing awareness and attention to the problem and what your intention is and your protection kicks in and forces it out. You could simply make a quick prayer for it to be defeated as long as your prayer or request is to the right source.
4- if it started and is continuing, some religious and/or spiritual people may consider it a sign of obsession and/or directed witchcraft against you. If you are the praying type, pray for assistance to find a permanent solution. Other problems could follow.
5- In this specific instance, my personal belief is this is a form of clareaudience. You are hearing an intrusion into your personal aura through the ear. One of the replies mentioned a spider sense when certain people are about to show up: that is the negative spirits associated with the person showing up manipulating the 'stage' for its own purposes ahead of showing up. To use it as a spider sense one should leave immediately as obviously their aura was not strong enough to prevent the intrusion. If it was, the person wouldn't even show up, most likely.

You are older now since this post, even so, best of luck to you.

I see this is an old post, but thought I would post what I feel the sound is. I have had it since 1997, and it has not gone away, only refined itself, and I truly enjoy having it. From what I was told way back when, is that many people are hearing the AUM sound.

As I am sure you are aware the ringing in your ears is extremely annoying and I am sure that you would like to cure it as soon as possible. The causes of high pitch tinnitus are abundant, but their are a few reasons that are more common than others for experiencing these crazy noises in your ears. Here are some of the most common reasons that you could be experiencing this phenomenon.

If you work at a factory then you are exposed to these loud pitches on your ears. Unfortunately most people can not afford to give up their job just because it is one of the causes of high pitch tinnitus. What you can do is get some quality ear plugs as this should reduce your exposure to these noises and hopefully curb your tinnitus.

Another reason that you may have this type of tinnitus is that you expose yourself to concerts, shooting guns, or other forms of sudden, high pitch noises. While this is similar to the above reason, it is a little different because you can control this. The first thing that I suggest is for you to do as much as you possibly can to avoid putting yourself in these situations. Just avoiding such situations will make your tinnitus much more manageable.

Did you know that stress is often times related to tinnitus? In fact it is one of the leading causes of high pitch tinnitus. The fact of the matter is that stress can cause a variety of problems, and it is not uncommon for stress to be linked to the ringing or buzzing in your ears,, and NO! It's not that you are in touch with the other side or people from Mars. More likely out to be stress.

Dear Sapphirerose,

Next time you hear this noise, step outside and look for an airplane. If you don't immediately see one, wait a moment, it will show up.

My wife hears exactly the kind of noise you describe. In fact she read your message and said, "Yes!" about three times! We have noticed that it always happens when a plane flies overhead (usually an airliner). We have also noticed radio interference sometimes, too. Although we're still looking into exactly how it is connected, we have no doubt that certain airplanes generate this noise, and that not everyone can hear it. No one is getting into your aura (sorry, Mom).

It took my wife five years to figure out what that is.

That happens to me too. I usually hear it at night, but if I concentrate it becomes louder. It happens in my left ear, my right, even both. But I noticed that it happens nonstop when I'm sick. The pitches sound different each time. Sometimes I'm doing something and my ears pop and the sounds around me are not as loud and all I can hear is the ringing, it freaks me out. A few times I hear a scream.

I have a ringing in my ears. It only lasts for about 5 sec. I don't believe in ghosts because the bible says after someone dies they either go to heaven or hell. But the bible does say there are demons. I don't meditate and I don't listen to music at all. The ringing happened at church and another time at home while I was on my laptop. It sounds like a flash bang off of call of duty. I have not heard any voices or seen any flash of light.

Years ago I witness a sight in the sky far above. It looks like a bird that had wings and was in motion like it was flying but stood there for awhile until I moved out looked away and I don't know if it was still there or it did disappear. But later on I felt that I was been stalked electronically after being implanted with a chip, hearing voices on the air waves, and from now and then ringing in the ears. I believe it is spiritual and I been stalked by the same people that witness this appearance. The only thing that I am still puzzle about is that sight. Some said its a vision and others said its an optical illusion. Either way I don't know what it was. If anyone has any idea and to make out of it let me know.

I am new to this site and came to it also because I have heard voices during the night. I heard very high pitch or echo like sound when I start reading about psychic. When I protected myself by doing psychic protecting exercise that sound disappeared at once.
And most of the time I also notice white or silver light. Do let me know about these sings? Are they normal?

There is a 'natural cause' for some high pitched tones the ear's may 'hear'...

Tinnitus is the word used to describe hearing certain phantom sounds. Tinnitus is not a disease. Rather it is generally a symptom of something wrong in your auditory system. The dictionary defines tinnitus as the sensation of noise, often ringing or roaring, in your ears that comes from inside your head in the absence of any external sound.

There are times this may be something 'Spiritual' or 'otherworldly' but the Natural explanations must be ruled out first.

Respectfully,

I tend to get these tones from time to time and they have almost acted like a radar for me senseing when someone is getting close for. Example a friend will be on his way to pick me up and while I'm listiening to my ipod ill hear the tone wich usually means my friends arrived its almost like a spidey sense. Anyone ever heard of something like this before? And is there a way I can enhance it.

Everything is so connected here. All of us have similar things happening to us. The white flash was probably a good spirit or divine protection over you. No worries.

I have had this problem for a while. Do you have an ipod? If the answer is yes, there you go, that is what is causing those noise. Not, spirits from the other side. I believe in spirits and the world we don't see, but this, is not that case this time.

I am very familiar with what you are experiencing. There are actually 2 forms clairaudience internal and external. Internal is similar to the sensation of 'thinking aloud' you know what your voice sounds like and can definitely tell if it is another voice coming through. The external is more distinctive this ability allows you to hear voices, and sounds which include musical tones and all seem to come through from an external source.

Sapphire Rose,

The bit about the white light remains open to interpretation. You haven't provided enough description to go any further with this. If it happens often, then we may have something to work with. Insofar as the voices are concerned, I believe they are voices of someone or more than one person on another plane. When you meditated, you may have opened yourself up and you didn't close yourself down properly, allowing your clairaudience abilities to continue. These are likely discarnate entities, perhaps ghosts of people who are in the vicinity (former residents, etc.) and who know you can hear them. Be careful. Always surround yourself in the light of God or Jesus or Buddha or whoever you choose. These discarnate entities could be people who have passed over who are not aware that they are dead, do not want to go to the light, or have unfinished business in our realm. This is the most likely explanation. If you want to read real life stories about these types of experiences, check out: www.pamelasrevelations.com

sapphirerose,

The following link is from the Mayo Clinic and concerns tinnitus...

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/tinnitus/DS00365/DSECTION=causes

...there are so many differnet causes for this condition and it doesn't have to be 'heard all the time'. I have intermintient 'bouts' with it myself... It comes in as a high pitched 'tone' as if I was taking a hearing test. Anything from a loud concert to ear/head phones played to loud can give temperary to lasting degress of tinnitus. Even certian medications can cause it.

It's not only your home enviroment that can contribute to this condition either... If you work in a 'loud' enviroment or purhaps drive through a constrution zone on your way to and from work... Heck it might be due to a heriditary ear condition...

Sounds from the 'other side' seem to be more like voices / moans / screams /footsteps...sounds that a 'living person / animal' would make.

Please don't feel as if we are discounting your experience, but many of us here have 'seen / heard / been through' a lot of things and this 'real condition' can not be ruled out from the information you have provided...

Respectfully,

Rook

I know what I have isn't tinnitus, because I don't get the ringing constantly. Sometimes it's there for a couple of seconds and sometimes it's there for a couple hours. Also, my ears don't hurt and it's always in the right ear. I don't have any ear infections or wax build up either.

[at] RHood, when I saw the white light it freaked me out. I jumped and then turned on the light in my room. I'm not sure if it was a bad thing, but it scared me. It looked like a flash, but I'm not sure if that was a spirit. And the voices I heard were definitely not my thoughts because they were loud and clear, and one of them even echoed. It was just after I had been in a deep state of meditation, too.

I know exactly what you're talking about sapphirerose. I've had the same thing my whole life. But okay, To Zilla - My dad has Tinnitus, and I described this "ringing" in my ears like sapphirerose to him, and he described totally different symptoms. In Tinnitus, you have a strange ringing sound, that stays at the same pitch 24/7. In what sapphirerose is describing, the pitch gets higher/lower, and it doesn't keep going 24/7.
The ringing I hear, sometimes the pitch gets so bad that it sounds like a hearing aid that's all messed up... Somehow I don't think these two are the same thing. Sapphirerose, I suggest that you try meditation, and see where that gets you. 🤔

The brain seeks out recognizable patterns in chaotic noises. This is observable if you are in a room with, say, a oscillating fan running next to you.

Sometimes as you listen you may find that the sounds of the fan resemble a voice or voices speaking yet when you turn off the fan, so do the voices.

I think that the sounds of fluids rushing in the ear can sometimes start to resemble voices. Also... Just as with the so-called "Electronic Voice Phenomenon" you don't really hear what is being said unless you convince yourself that it is saying something specific.

I really do not think one is doing person a favor by trying to convince them that what they are hearing is somehow paranormal in nature. It is far better to examine all normal and mundane avenues first before delving into the shaky realm of "spirit guides"

I know many people like the idea that they are hearing ghosts and spooks but liking an idea doesn't make it true or real.

My observation and experience has been that a sound is just that, a sound. I am not trying to be mean here but trying to tell a young person they are hearing voices of guides seems irresponsible to me.

I'm afraid I disagree with Chetyre. There are two things here: tinnitus and voices. They are completely different things. Tinnitus is the ringing sound. The voices, I would surmise, are discarnate entities on another plane that are trying to get through to you. My guess is that these are ghosts who can perceive that you can perceive them. They are trying to get your attention. They are people who either don't know that they are dead or have remained behind (instead of going to the light) because they have unfinished business here or they are afraid of going to the light. It is possible that one of these entities is your spirit guide, but I doubt it. If a spirit guide wanted to talk to you, you would feel very trusting of the voice, perhaps feel happy and unafraid, and the communication would not be interrupted. If you are a young person, it is possible that the voice could be a nature spirit, who often like to be mischievous, but I doubt that, too. A strange white light in the corner of the room is more open to interpretation. What form did it take? What feeling did you get?

I agree with Zilla.
This sounds like a classic case of tinnitus.
I have it too only I hear it 24/7.

At one point I too wondered if there was something more to this "ringing" and occasional droning but it's simply irritated auditory nerves. It used to be a bit annoying but I have learned to ignore it.

Loud music is definitely a trigger for the ringing though and too much caffeine can also be an irritant. But no... You are not hearing anything from anywhere...it's your ears or rather the auditory nerves.

I wouldn't worry about it unless there is pain or an actual reduction in your hearing.
