I See Dead People?

I am mainly posting this story for advice and thoughts from anyone who reads it. I live in a very heavily wooded and rural community where records aren't kept well and the authorities "turn their heads" to a lot of things. I was driving home at around 5:30 as I do every night when I get off work and also had a friend riding with me that was riding to my home. We had just crossed a bridge in the middle of the woods when suddenly a man ran in front of my car. I veered sharply to keep from hitting him but he still met the hood of my car. I stopped the car immediately and ran out but there was no body, no dent, no sign that there was ever a person there. After my friend was through cursing at me and asking me what I was doing, I told her of what I had seen. We both wrote it off as just something strange and both forget about it. That is until this morning. The sun hadn't quite rose yet and I crossed the same bridge as mentioned before, except this time I was alone. Again the man ran in front of my vehicle, too quickly for me to even react. It was like a scene from a movie, I saw his dark hair make contact with the windshield and break it, leaving blood. Not to mention there was a massive dent in the hood of my car and a sound that will be imprinted in my mind for as long as I live. I stopped the car so abruptly it left long black marks on the pavement, yet again when I stepped out of the vehicle there was no one there and there was no damage to my car. I got back in and proceeded to have a panic attack. I drove directly to my friend's house instead of going to work and told her of the incident. She seems to think I may be making contact with a spirit who is trying to tell me something. I checked the local city records and found no reports in the last 30 years of an accident or a body. I don't know whether to think I'm schizophrenic or if I am actually seeing someone's death before my eyes. Please if you can help with analyzing the situation or advice on what to do it would be greatly appreciated.
