Real Psychic Experiences

Melodia

Let me start by saying that I don't really know if there's anything strange about me or if what I'm experiencing is anything out of the ordinary. All I can base it off of is my friends and family, and none of them understand how or why I'm able to do or see the things I can. I'm not sure when it started, but I know when I started utilizing my "abilities" on purpose.

My cousin Livey (name changed by her request) was only a couple months pregnant - not even far enough along to know the gender - when she decided to have a little competition within the family. There wasn't a prize, but the goal was to guess the day she would be having the baby. I remember wanting to desperately be part of the game and pulling her aside. She'd only smiled and said, "Of course you can, Nia! Everyone who's family can guess!" I was only about 6 years old but I knew she was only humoring me.

I thought for a few seconds before telling her she'd have a girl on March 13th 1998, at 4:30 - just before dinner. She'd stopped smiling when she heard how very detailed I was in my answer, and quickly wrote everything I said on my notepad. I asked her to name her Melody if I was right, because I thought it was a pretty name for a mermaid. She asked why I thought she'd be a mermaid and looked downright scared when I told her she'd have the baby in the water. It was later revealed she and her husband had already talked to her doctor about water birth.

I still to this day remember when my Aunt called me at 4:37 to tell me I had a new baby cousin named Melody. It's become general practice that expecting mothers in my family ask me when they're due, and I've never been wrong on gender or date. I suppose this isn't TOO strange compared to some of the stories out there, but this is only one of dozens of things I experience all the time.

Just in case anyone's wondering about Mel, she's a perfectly healthy girl. She's plays softball and is as at home on the stage as she is in the pool. Her favorite movie ended up being, and still is even at 14, The Little Mermaid II.

I suppose one example isn't enough for confirmation on whether or not the things I see are strange, so I'll post a few more stories. Thanks for any and all help!

I absolutely agree. I'm sure everyone can sense it in some way, a lot of the time they're either unaware of what it is or they're unwilling to acknowledge it. And yeah, an over-excited family member is definitely a possibility - that pretty much sums up every person that I've ever met in my family.:) You're so helpful, thank you again!

You are welcome, but I am also driven to add that maybe it was an excited family member (on the other side, like a great grandmother or great grandfather etc.) Who stepped in, couldn't wait to tell the news of the when and hows of a new addition to the family.

I have noticed that children, and even adults, can hear things but don't always see them... Like sometimes we just feel like saying things, without knowing why or where the thought came from; it is in these circumstances that I believe we don't convey our own thoughts but that of Spirit since to say our own thoughts and ideas would come with much more effort on our part without spontaneity - when things just come to you and you didn't put much thought into it... I believe also that we are always subconsciously aware of the Spirit world and Divine whispers around us... Picking up on it without even knowing about it, in the sense that our conscious mind doesn't even know (is not aware that it hears it as such)... That is why the subconscious mind is always (more) awake and aware on a psychic level than the conscious mind.

Wow I didn't know any of this stuff! And yeah I'll agree, there are definitely times when I ask people for a break from it because it gets to the point where it's amost hard to see. Thank you so much for all the information!:D

Children are the most clearest portals to the Spirit world particularly because they lack any sense of "EGO"... It is actually amazing if you come to think about it since they are not at all self-centered they are subconsciously unable to Block out other spirits or souls. If there is no Huge sense of self-grandeur or own identity these things or picking up Divine whispers from Spirits or Angels just comes naturally to them... But as children grow up nurturing a developed Ego, our own idividuality and character in this world blocks the spiritual flow of Spirit. Maybe it has something to do with the Oneness of Consciousness, all being one in Spirit when with the Ego that perception is lost.

But sometimes it is crucial for survival, especially if you are an empath to sometimes Turn on your Ego channel to block out the Universal channel... Or else you would go nuts and emotionally burn out as the people would energetically drain you... Not only people that live in this physical reality, but spirits also.

When you have a bright light that shines each soul wants your attention, but sometimes you just have to say "OKAY JUST STOP FOR A MOMENT, I need to breathe to save and harness my own energy!" - of course we all, even children, have a Gate Keeper that can help us block out certain spirits that would not be beneficial for our own spiritual growth and Health.

So to your story - your Gate Keeper opened the Gate for a reason, to make your Family think and above all to kick start your spiritual journey.
