Strange Floating Mist

When I was smaller, around the age of nine or ten, one of my relatives was visiting my house. He was sleeping in my bed, so I had to sleep on the couch. Later that night, I was looking at the roof when I saw what I can only describe as a glowing white mist directly above me on the roof.

I discarded it as a onetime event and almost forgot about it, but then two months ago, after moving to a new house, I saw it again near the roof in my bedroom. It was about two feet long, moving slowly along the wall, and disappeared after about 1 second.

I told one of my friends that I make chi balls with about it, and he said that he had heard of that before and that it may be a sort of guardian angel.

I almost forgot about it again, but three days ago, it appeared near the roof while I was watching TV. It then appeared again five minutes later a bit further down the wall, then a third time on the other side of my living room about two minutes after. Each of those three times, it looked the same as the first two days that I saw it, and every time it has been around the roof, near a wall.

I have tried to talk to it since, asking why it is here, or even asking if it wants to sit down, but I haven't received a response yet.

I didn't have any close dead relatives when I first saw it so I don't think it is someone from my family watching over me from beyond the grave.

If anyone has any information on what it is, how to communicate with it, or if it has some type of malevolent purpose, that would be very helpful.

Thanks for any input.
