Gargoyle?

I am currently reading a book on spirituality development. I a few night ago I had tried while in a semi sleepy state, to imagine a giant inverted cone in the top of your head to attract spirit. (advise from the book). So I did.

Well, I guess I dozed off only to be awoken (I am a VERY light sleeper) By a strange sound. This sound then got louder, closer and stranger. Then, I hear walking on top of our two story house, that is a single dwelling, no big tress around. No way for an animal or human to get up there. This sound awoke my two dogs. One started to growl at this sound. This really frighten me then. It sort of validated what I was hearing then! So, this thing on the roof, I hear it walking like human heavy foot steps. With a dragging sound. I was so scared. When I get really scared, I get defensive. I grab my house slipper, and start banging on the wall and yelling at it to go away. My dog is barking at the wall! She never does this. Then she runs to her bed scared!. I go out in the hall to go call my husband on the phone. He was working nights. My son who is 26 years old, opens his door and ask me what the heck is on the roof! I am so glad he heard it too. I'm not insane now. Plus the dogs heard it. It was way to big to be any animal or big bird.

The next day. I call a psychic (two). They both tell me it was a Gargoyle type creature from the spirit world. That the next time I do this I need to be specific about who I invite in. Lesson learned.

But now I have a munch of questions about these creatures. Are they intelligent? Are they like dogs. Can I ask them to do things for me. Maybe protect our house? Is it mine only. Does everyone have one. I want to know more. Any one else know anything about these spirit creatures? There has to more different creatures too?

Hello to all that responded and thank you. I will try to answer your questions. No large trees are near our home. It was definetly not an animal. And I did not intentionaly summon it. I was half asleep. This was done as I was falling asleep. I have never done anything like this before. I did sort of giggle about it. Then fell asleep.

Also I do not believe in Gargoyles either. This was sugested by two pychics I spoke with. It was very likley spirit of some sort. I know about protecting one self prior to doing this. Yet,, I did not. Proof is in the pudding as they say. I will use protection next time. Till then. I'm too scared yet. But I know I will do it. I was also sugested to focus were I am calling. Such as maybe a relative who has passed.
Also I must mention that I see in my room at night, small light specks moving in the air allot. Some are a little darker. I feel nothing negative from this. It is all very intresting. I will continue to attempt to increase my abilities. Thank you for all ther in put. It was insightful.

Now that I think about asking spirits to come and having control over them, it reminds me of Goetia-type magick. The instructions for summoning demons/elementals usually have you banish (i.e purify) the place where you're working and stand in a pentagram while you call on the spirit to appear in the triangle of Art. And when you're done, you dismiss the spirit and banish the place again (I think. I've never done an evocation and have no source handy to check).

The point is, when you're working with a "lower" spirit, you should be concerned with psychic cleanness and keeping yourself separate from the spirit. This is unlike working with higher spirits (gods, angels) where you want to merge into the spirit and become one with them.

Btw, are you quite sure there was no way for an animal to get up there? Maybe it jumped from a nearby tree (if there are any trees near your house) or maybe it's the squirrel world champion in wall-climbing (unless you have unclimbable walls).

I agree with Anaelyssa, balancing/stabilizing lower chakras 1st.

Mcarsonames spoke of Rosemary Altea and she had
Been interviewed by Larry King on CNN around 10-12
Years ago in the US. Rosemary Altea is a British
Subject and psychic. And she teaches the beggining
Steps. Which I agree are correct.

The two psychic's have common sense.
Asking what you want.
But my question is why would you ask for them
To come without a purpose? Sorry but I wonder why?

The only time I ask a spirit to come is after I have
Energy in my physical body, then balance and cleans
My chakras, I use protection. But when I ask there
Is "Always a purpose": to help release an earth bound
Spirit, which may be attached to another person, or
Haunting a home.

Only recently I wanted to know what energies were
Affecting a country farm. So I asked for assistance
To tell my husband what spirits were affecting the
Property. Unfortunately I was just begging my holiday
And fell to asleep. Fortunately my husband was visited
And told me whom was around the land in Lincolnshire.
There were people whom inhabited the area from
Eons of time. There was a well under the home.
And this had caused problems. As we were to learn
At one point this water well was the only one in that
Region for a very long time, later it was a mill,
Roman legions had used it, and some others.
Additionally my husbands mother and grandfather
Came through the opening.

As to Gargoyles: the beliefs are numerious.
In France the Catholic churches have them on the
Pillars. The French people were called Gauls,
Which were a Celtic people. Their belief is they
Protect the building.
En.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gargoyle
For many western people they reflect evil.

I read a book like that before, "The Gift" by Rosemary Altea. She talks about how to protect and sheild yourself first. She also goes on about cleansing your aura and even teaches you to turn on and off your psychic abilities. It's only at the end where you truly learn to open up your psychic connections. I hope that helps!

Of course they both said it was a gargolye. There are many books about fantasy creatures that you can buy. I can assure you, that it wasn't a creature. You see, the physical and other dimensions are getting ever closer to each other again. I would take a gander at it being a random mass being close to your house. Gargoyles don't exist, the closest thing youd be looking at is some sort of animalistic being on your roof.

I don't know much about spirit creatures, but imagining a cone on your head sure sounds like opening the crown chakra. Usually, this is not recommended before you've opened up and stabilized the other 6 chakras. It's really better for one's own mental health not to invite random creatures/beings into your consciousness.
