Does It Mean Anything?

Recently I have been strongly determined to astral project while I was sleep. When I woke up one morning I was so determined I made myself go back to sleep (which wasn't to hard hahaha). I focused very hard on projecting my astral body to the staircase. I was still half conscious but I managed to... I don't know... Half project. It was morning, so there was light in the house. I felt like I had to be in two minds at once.

I heard everything around me and downstairs in both my astral body and my physical body. I felt like I was in bed but I felt the cold stairs under my feet. It was really confusing. So I focused just on walking down the stairs in my astral body. I saw my surroundings when I got off the steps. My little brothers babysitter Bob closed the door with his hand behind him (It was so clear I could swear I really physically was there. I paid very close attention to detail). Then my little brother (he's almost four) ran up to my mom and she picked him up. He was wearing a black and _____ coat (could decipher the other color.

I got kind of bored being there so I sort of floated up, opened the door, and flew to the driveway. I sat on the roof of my mom's car, my feet dangling off the roof of her car. I noticed that she had parked back more than usual, and this bush I always looked at way right in front of me. I sat there in the fresh air for a little while and noticed a twig was in my face. I looked at it and swatted it, breaking it off in the process. I looked at the way I had broken it. It had a longer jagged bottom, shorter top, and it way thin.

I felt my consciousness slip away so I floated back into my body, fully aware in both my physical and astral body what had happened, the whole time conscious in both. I woke up and immediately raced outside to check the car. It was exactly as it was in my projection (even the car placement).

I looked up and exactly at hand distance from the car was a snapped twig that was snapped exactly as it was in my projection. Then I raced inside and asked my mom about the details and she confirmed everything with a confused look on her face.

My questions are:

1. Was it really an astral projection?

2. If so why was my consciousness split?

3. How can I make my full consciousness in my astral body?

[at] winterdreams Great to read your stories and see you exploring more of your psychic side! We've come a really long way since your "Am I Psychic Or Insane" kind of posts, and I couldn't help but be proud of you.Woots!😆
Reading your story, I do think you really were able to astral project, an ability that I am not able to do but have heard and witnessed many times, especially on this site.
Since I am no astral projector in any way and just an eager poster here, I recommend again Google. You know, good old Grandpa Google. XD There are a lot of stuffs about astral projecting there, and whatever strikes a comfortable cord with you, I suggest you do so.
Before I end this comment, I would just like to remind you not to use your gifts at times for the sake of killing boredom, okay?Especially with astral projecting:if you don't have that enough hold on the ability, please, take things step by step. And learn from the great, GREAT people here. [at] Anaelyssa is an example!:)
You got me worried there, you know.Don't make your old genki friend here WORRY.*pouts like a kid*😆
Hope you let us know how it goes.❤

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Pure skepticism is questioning everything. Are these psychic abilities or am I crazy? Do I exist? Do I have the ability to even answer any of these questions? Am I being a pure skeptic or am I making a fool of myself? Is "fool" a negative or a positive concept (mentally-deficient vs pure fool of the Tarot)?

There is a certain point when one needs to answer the question as best as one can and go on. It is irrelevant whether or not what happens to you in astral dreams is only happening in your mind. It could be that your entire life is happening in your mind and there is nothing outside of you. Is it you dreaming that you are a butterfly or is it a butterfly dreaming that it is you? Are all those people really crazy or are their minds off wandering other dimensions? Are the voices you hear only in your mind or are they astral entities? Is there a difference?

Skepticism is a healthy attitude. It is good to be able to be skeptical about anything. It good to be able to turn around and argue the opposite of the point of view you were just arguing. Blind belief is blind. Thus, it is also good to know when not to put on your skeptic hat and just support someone who is already doubting themselves enough.

P.S. I'm defending actual skepticism here, not the kind that goes "oh hahaha, you believe in all that woowoo psychic stuff? You must be an idiot."

Love is the law, love under will.

thanks, this helped me a lot. I can't seem to get back lately, but you know, I really just need to be persistent. You people are the whole reason I joined this site 😊, even though there are CERTAIN PEOPLE who are mainly pure skeptics. Telling me these things are just dreams or hallucinations.

I have read about the consciousness-split in Robert Bruce's "Astral Dynamics." According to him, any time you project, a part of your consciousness stays with your physical body and a part with your astral body. However, these consciousnesses tend to have separate memory streams. Thus, when the astral body returns to the physical, one stream of memory may supplant the other. Thus, you remember the start of the projection and then either the projection itself (astral-body memory) or that nothing happens (physical-body memory). Sometimes, it's possible to remember both (which is what happened in your case).

Love is the law, love under will.

you learned something that I can barely do. I have only astro-project like5 times already. To me it didn't feel like I was split in two. More like I left my body and I can see with my body asleep. During those times I let whatever take me to see what I must see. I have seen my own version of hell, and of heaven which is no different. I don't know who takes me to these places but I know it was important. I was once attacked in a dream, a face of pure evil wanted me dead. Even tho I have no pictures, I had hand prints on my neck where I was struggling to breathe. And to make a full consciousness in a the astro-plane is difficult even for me. I just make note of what is happening to me. Once I was dragged to a boy's room and I don't know who he was, and he too was asleep. I know because I was tired enough from watching my friends baby and impulsively I left. Be patient and possibly meditate. You can do whatever you want in the astro-plane. I am sorry I don't have all the answers. But at least I can just help you even a little bit. Enjoy your gift
