A Protective Spirit

You need not research to find the answer you seek. Trust your intuition. Trust your gut. If you feel as though this energy is nothing to fear, then go with it. There are too many times when people automatically declare something to be evil merely because it is portrayed that way. And, you clearly have no justification that the spirit is attached to the painting, or that the spirit is making your cousin sick, because in all honesty a spirit can only harm someone that sub-consciously lives life as a victim. When we portray ourselves to be a victim we are sending out energy vibrations that will end up attracting and inviting people, energies, spirits, or whomever, of a dominating nature. It is not that your cousin asked to become sick, but maybe he is dealing with fatigue and physical, emotional, spiritual and mental healing.

Now, on to communicating with this little spirit. All you have to do is state that you aren't afraid and that you are protected by the highest power of divine light. I can sense that this being is already aware of your energy vibration and it finds your energy to be pure and playful. You are a child at heart and that is why it likes to play with you. Whenever you hear a random noise it is the spirit trying to get your attention. The next time you hear something, or see it, just telepathically speak to it. First off, you would want to ask it if it would like to try communicating with you. Wait for an answer, he he disappears then he either is afraid or he isn't ready to speak. If he does remain in place state the truth behind your curious nature to know more about him. Tell him you do not want to harm him. Just go with your intuition while conversing with him.

Be aware that sometimes spirits communicate in different ways, which depend on the spirits ability to understand the best way for the human to perceive information from beings of an energy source.

I ask that you FIRST set your boundaries by calling on your Guardian Angel, Spirit-Guides and Ascended Masters, by stating out loud,

"I call upon my Guardian Angel to shed my energy field with light at this time. I am surrounded by love. I am protected by divine light of the highest power. Anything of a low vibration with intentions not of my best interest are to speak with my Primary Spirit Guide before contacting me or merging into my aura."

I'm just going to say, that is NOT a protective spirit. I put spirits into 3 categories: The Innocents, who are completely pure of heart and have not bad energy (ex. Small children); there are the good, who while they are not completly pure of heart, they don't have bad energy; the mediums who do have bad energy, but arent going to try to harm you; the bad, who have bad energy and are going to try to trick you, scare you, or harm you; the guardians, who work to protect you, they are also known as spirit guides; the warriors who go out and fight the bad, and try to drain their energy and keep them weak. I can't tell you what category your spirit falls into, other than the fact that its not a guardian, or a warrior. Hope this helps!

This spirit is playing a game.

From my experiences, they like to scare the living crap out of you.

They don't mean to harm you, they just... Need excitement in their lives. It's just a game they like to play.

If you want it to leave just contact a preist or whatever to cleanse the house. Or you can just ask it nicely to leave you alone, and that you won't disturb them if they won't disturb you.

Most of the time spirits latch onto people they know are evil or have lost a lot of family members.

It's just what they do.

A spirit latched onto me when I was a little girl at the grocery store. I had seen her and she followed us home, only to protect me from the evil spirits who would scratch me and scare me.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Please forgive me for my terseness beforehand. I hold the completely biased belief that disorder in writing is a symptom of lack of order in the mind (or else lack of writing instruction).
