I forgot to comment about you seeing the people who have crossed over...well. I would say that means you are psychic, intuitive, clarvoiyant... You have precognition of events... You did not mention if you studied/read about this? Read some of the stories on here, there are so many that have the same theme as you... You are definitely not alone in this... Read...read... And read some more.

Hi, You are supposed to be here. I believe that we go through lessons here on Earth, so you are going through your lessons now, and actually the harder the lessons I think shows that you are an older soul. I too went through many lessons in my life and now I have a different understanding and look back on all of it as lessons I had to go through to get to where I am now.

So, sometimes a feeling like you don't belong (here on earth or in this time era) is a sign of being an Indigo Child/Adult. If you are unfamiliar google "indigo adult" I think its sunfell.com (or close to that). There is a test on there to take, and gives you info about Indigos.

As far as your abilities have you done any reading? I think that is the first thing I would do if you have not done so already.

You will find your way... It takes time and that is for a purpose. SO try to relax and meditate, get rid of some stress, that will all help out too:)

Did you read Eckhart Tolle - A New Earth? I highly recommend that book, it truly changed my life. It gives you a many ways to relax, destress, be less reactive and find a calm within yourself... All things that help more than you will ever realize!

Hi Grant, my abilites began to surface a great deal stronger after my dad passed away almost 2 years ago. My awareness of the change also began with my hands and I could sense energy/vibrations changes. I had bought some oracle cards and began practicing with them and noticed I could sense vibrations in them. So one thing I tried was having someone pick one card out of six cards (keeping their choice secret and writing it down), lay them face down and try to "feel" their card. I would feel tingling and warmth over the card they chose. So basically, I am saying exercise your ability, play around with it... Its like a muscle the more you exercise it, the stronger it gets.

I also am a Reiki II therapist and work with animal energies (totems), so when I am performing a Reiki session I see "glimpses" of animals like pictures and many times there are colors I see; all of this with my eyes closed also. To me, the colors represent healing and since colors have vibrations, I take it to mean the person needs a certain color I am seeing to aid in their healing or they need that color for a certain Chakra perhaps. So I think there are many reasons we see colors. (If you have a strong feeling you are seeing your aura color, you are most likely correct. It may be that you will beable to pick up on other people's aura in that way too, so you should practice that, it would be cool to know what you fine out!)

I am not sure what you mean by "turning people vampire style." "Vampires" would not attune to the higher realms in the first place and as far as "turning people psychic" there is no guaranty that Reiki would make you psychic, it attunes you to the higher realms and you have higher frequency/vibration. If you are already intuitive, it would of course amplify that ability. I know Reiki therapists that are not psychic and some who are very psychic.

Everything has its reason and the reasons originate in the ether, so the ether must have approved of Reiki, or it would not be in existance.

Reiki is not to just make money, its to heal others and the more healing the better. My focus is to heal and help as many as possible. I have made no money at it thus far, in the future I may start a practice, but you charge people to help pay for your business expenses, just like psychics:)

As far as making money... I think psychics actually charge WAY more than a Reiki practitioner ever would.

Also, why would it be a bad thing to turn people psychic? Everyone has psychic ability and if they use it for goodness, what would that hurt?:)

Hi Demian, I have had a similar type path as you in the beginning. I saw a blue shadowy figure when I was young, was so scared I blocked it all out for years and years. I only just started "re-awakening" in my 30s and 40s. Something that helped me tremendously was to study Reiki, and became a Reiki practitioner.

Also in addition to the Ted Andrews book that Velcro mentioned, "How to Meet and Work with Your Spirit Guides" by Ted Anderws, is also an excellent book to learn exercises to help you and also for ideas for protection.

From my experience, I just started out very very slow. I would read a few chapters in a book and put it down for a week or however long I needed to, until I felt confident enough to continue.

I don't see human spirits usually, but with Reiki I see mostly Animal Energies/Totems. I do get intuitive info from people at times. One time I heard a song in my head while doing Reiki, I told the client what song it was..."I've been working on the railroad" (Not a song I want in my head very often LOL). And it was a validation to her, as her grandfather worked on the railroad and she had hoped to hear from him during the session. So sometimes the goofiest things to us, are meant to help others.

The Light Worker's Way, by Doreen Virtue is another book that helped me on my path. I have read a lot of Sylvia Browne's books as well, and to me she is very soothing as she explains the other side, she made me way less afraid of it.

But basically it sounds like you are getting it right about asking for protection from your guides and angels. Good luck to you!

Hi there, something came to mind as I read your story. I would think about being very careful trying to absorb people's energy as they are at a party, especially if they are drinking. Never know what you are going to absorb, might be something you do not wish to absorb. Using alcohol makes people more susceptible to negative energy. Your story is interesting though, take care

Hi Gemmal, to me it sounds like you are working with the life force energy for sure. It is also called Ki or Chi, in Reiki therapy. I am a Reiki therapist and my hands become hot also when I am performing Reiki. Sounds like you would be a wonderful candidate to take a Reiki therapy course, google it and check it out. Reiki is awesome:) Sounds like you are a natural as you followed your intuition to use your hands to help your family member. Good luck to you.

Hi Axion, I have just learned that I can see auras in the last year. For the longest time, I could only see the first inch or two beyond the body, but recently I can see quite a bit more. I think my aura is dark blue/deep purplish color. I have taken an Indigo adult test on-line and I am pretty sure I am. Have you checked into any Indigo Adult info?

I think I have what you would term psychometry with cards. I can feel an energy from them, and its like I know which card to pick or am being guided to pick certain cards? (although, it seems like the same cards come up over and over again and again when I pick cards for myself, its odd!) Its stronger some days and weaker some days, but overall seems to be getting stronger over time.:)

Its fun and intersting to learn about and very good to know there are people like you who take their time to help others!

To Oracle -

I am really new to Tarot. I just bought my first deck in May this year. I have the Wisdom of Avelon cards and I read a verse for protection each time I use the cards (the verse is in the accompanying book). Now that I read about possibility of opening portals, (which I had no idea of before I bought the cards) it makes me hesitate to use them again before I asked you... Do you think if I am using the cards and seeking only the highest good for all, and asking for the white light of the Holy Spirit for protection... Is that enough? I surely do not wish to open any portals that would allow harm to anyone in my house!

While I was reading your letter I was thinking... Ask God (or your higher power, whatever you believe in)? Before you go to bed at night ask God if he would grant you the wisdom or clarity to be more helpful in dreams?

To Oracle: If you have the time... Have you thought about posting a story? I have read your postings and you seem to be a very excellent teacher. I think you could help a lot of people on here. (Me Included!) I would love to read advice/stories/ideas from you! I have been worried about negative energies and wondering if my method of prayer was "enough." Hi Sleepy. I too have had things similar to this happen...

This week, I woke up to someone screaming "call 911." It was not like they were telling me to call, but more like I was observing/hearing someone yell this? Talk about being jolted from sleep and getting freaked out. I just got up and said nothing and went about my routine. When I walked into the kitchen, my husband pointed toward the front window and said look at that. I looked out the window and across the street there was an ambulance with lights going and they were loading a person into an ambulance. Wierd huh?

Also when I was just waking up a couple times I have heard someone call my name. I often wondered if when I heard my name, it was my spirit guide calling to me?

Also have heard loud crashing or lightening clap noises right before I go to sleep. I tend to think it might have something to do with visiting the other side during sleep, but I could be wrong.

I am wondering also if you are hearing your guide speak to you at times as well? Maybe that is a possibility? Maybe one of the more experienced people would comment on that?
