I'm new to this site. I thought I'd try to tell you about my experiences with being an empath, I figured it out when I realized how sensitive I am and can be around people.

As a child, I felt everyone's emotions, even animals! I could read their eyes and body language, I have people who are drawn too me like I'm a safe house, they want my opinion or too tell their story even when I don't know them,

Also, when I'm relaxed, I can hear thoughts and even project them but only when I'm relaxed which isn't often these days. I can sense and absorb others pain, physical pain like a knee pain, chest pain, broken heart.

As a kid, they would put me on medication because my moods were so erratic from over load that only twi weeks later I'd be back to square one as they never worked. I find it so hard some days to go out into the world as I pick up on everything. I'm 29 years old and have 3 wonderful kids and I can feel their emotions even when someone is far away.

I just know to call or I think of them a lot in a day and they call me! So this is my story. I read the other stories on line and I was drawn too a Jessy 2279 as her story is very similar to mine I hope we can chat and see what happens. I'm just glad I'm not alone.

I can sense emotions, not exactly feel them without strong relationship or physical contact. I can also sense a spirits presence.

Go to church and always pray to your god who is good so that evil spirits never gets near you.

Thank you for making me feel welcome. My husband is interested in what I can do and he says it scares him sometimes. I had to tell him that I knew that his brother is attracted to me, I felt it saw it and even heard it (so to speak) and yesterday I just knew that my daughter had reflux and we took her too the doc and it was confermed. Thank you all for making me feel welcomed when I told my sister she thought I was being followed by deamons, that hurt but I know I can't talk about this anymore to her unfourtunatly.

I agree with the person above (?) me in that you aren't alone. I too can read their body language/emotions/some thoughts, and even taking it one step further (future story). For the longest time it was overwhelming.

I will second that it shouldn't be ignored, and treat it with respect (use it wisely). Right now, I use it to help others get through tough times-they often come to me because I seem to "know" what's going on with them, even if they don't tell me anything. In the long run, it has helped (see my story if interested).

Hate to quote the show Merlin, but "If I have this gift, then why not use it?"
(Merlin).

you are definately not alone. I too can sence peoples feelings, its almost like I can read their thoughts. I am new to this website too and I have a story today too its under the tittle Psychic Family, I am just getting to know about these things but its important to find out more because it is in us for a reason its a power that shouldnt be put aside or ignored
