Everything is energy correct? You, me, the screen you're looking at, everything. That's what makes things possible. No, a normal human body of skin can't just step through air, I didn't say it like that. You have to be more experienced in manipulating energy. You can take energy away, put it back, you can change the flow, you can change the way people see things. No, it's not easy, and to be honest, I myself can't really do it, I've only been able to move a can, and blow something up, and take energy away from things. But it doesn't mean that it's not possible just because I can't do it. You said about gravity. What about things that defy gravity? Gyros, it's just a new way of doing something. It's true gravity exists, it doesn't take a scientist to trip once to know that, but I also know of a liquid that can instantly become a solid. That's not normal either, and if you think it's fake, it's a fact, and I've messed with it myself.

Um, Lyro? You do realize what you may or may not have meant to suggest, right, about a person 'manipulating air to float'?

There is a proven thing I like to call "gravity". You cannot just 'treat the air as a solid', at a moment's whim. Especially from a great height, as you weren't specific with.

Personally, what you've just stated, regarding that matter really gets to me, because I was told of an instance where someone suggested what you suggested, on this site, and the person tried to 'treat the air as a solid', and fell from a great height. It was someone's child.

That's why I've been so fervent on stating logic on matters such as these. In fact, that's why a lot of us do it- to prevent young, and impressionable minds from eating this stuff up, and thus getting seriously injured. And I'll be here when comments such as yours arise. I will always present an alternative opinion of logic, so young posters desperate for answers have an 'opt out' option.

Shinigami, an incarnated angel doesn't make your human body immortal, it only makes the spirit. Even then, angels CAN be "destroyed", [Not killed, there's a difference] but apparently there's some certain way I have no idea, of how to do it.

And Robert, you probably know more than some of us here, but as everyone else, we are all still learning, but you ARE very experienced in psychic matters, and you shouldn't allow people telling you certain things to get you down.

Sadly, the only experience that I've had with floating is moving a soda can... Lol, but why can't it be possible? Everything is made of energy, even you, so treat the air as a solid and walk on it, like water and swim through it, or like air and breath it. It is only energy, so you can manipulate it just the same as any other energy.

Now on a side note, excuse it for it has nothing to do with the story, but for those of you who are left on this site that know me, I just had a kind of hurtful message from someone.
After all the things I've done on this site, what do people think about me? Do you think that I really don't know anything, and just retarded when it comes to psychic things. That I can't help anyone because I've been manipulated into knowing nothing right?...
Or
That I still have things to learn just like everyone, my knowledge being limited to only the things I know so far, but with the things I've said, and the people I've helped, that I actually may know a thing or two?

This is a serious question, and I would really like people to comment... You can E-mail me instead of putting things on this persons story, but it would really help to get some people's opinions...

this is something that happens to me as well! When I was about 4 years old, I remember always going down the stairs ahead of my mother and sister. I would always float down the last few steps. After a while... It just stopped. Right now I know well I am a psychic, I just don't know if I can levitate again.

If we were "incarnated angels"... Wouldn't we be immortal...? Just sayin'...

And yeah, I'm siding with Sparky. There are probably only a few 'angels' on Earth, probably more or less guides that sometimes give us that 'push' we need.

Thanks MoonShine. I'm still not sure whether that's sarcasm or not, but I've been meeting with "fellow" angels, and talking about our "past lives" as an angel, and some memory seems to be jogging into me, and some new knowledge as well.

Faith, I'm not an expert in the subject, as I don't know about my past as an angel either, (most atleast) but I do know one thing, that's been confirmed, There's only a few angels on Earth, when I say few, I don't mean 20, I mean maybe like 100, or so. I'm not saying what you said is wrong, but I'm just letting you know their are few angels on Earth right now.

I believe the answer to these experiences is that you are all Incarnated Angels! (Yes I'm serious!) The small hand book "EARTH ANGELS" By Doreen Virtue explains all this very well & I'm confident many of you will find the answers you are seeking. 'Flying' down the stairs has happened to me also... Aged 36 years, it may be very common in childhood but obviously also possible at any age! There are 'many realms' & although we are currently here living on the Earth Realm, we can often connect into other energy realms too & can learn how to do so frequently! This book is only Β£2 to Β£4 on Amazon with free UK delivery & I recommend those of you who have left these posts to read it to find some of your answers. Another superb spiritual awakening is "The Disapearance of the Universe by Gary Renard" Its 'deep' yet amazingly enlightening & is a 'must have' prior to anyone wishing to learn 'A COURSE IN MIRACLES' (ACIM).
After many personal spiritual experiences, including visitations from Angels & spirit/ghosts etc. I know that these 'beings' do exist & that some people such as you guys are Incarnated Earth Angels with no memory/awareness of this or your previous Realms/lives, only subtle reminders such as these 'bizare flying or levitating incidents' to 'nudge' you into further research to discover who you truly are, why you are now here & how to fullfill your personal life mission & complete whatever it was you signed up to do long before you even arrived here! & best of all... To discover the wonderful truth... Happy soul searching x

I've been researching into this a bit more, and some of what I've found out really shocked me.😲
I've got a lot to say so prepare yourself.

After a lot of reading about this phenomenon and other people's accounts on this website, I believe the ability most people are experiencing is a psychic ability called Transvection. It is described on wikipedia as "the supernatural ability to levitate, float or fly through the air" and "Transvection usually refers to the experience of bodily movement in defiance of the laws of gravity".

Sadly, there isn't really anything on the internet about how to learn it and most websites relating to it simply copy what is written on wikipedia or have huge paragraphs talking about witches who used it and saints who have had this ability happen to them unexpectedly (sound familiar?).

While studying about this, I found out some things about my family during a recent visit to my Grandma that shocked me. My mother and my grandma (my mother's mum) have always believed in psychic and the paranormal but my mother sometimes has premonitions in her dreams. They don't happen as often now. However, my mum has had several whilst I've been around but one of her biggest was back in 1988. During this dream, she dreamt of a plane crash and told her mum and dad later that day, both of whom believed her. That day was Wednesday 21st December and hours later, flight Pan Am Flight 103 exploded and the remains fell on Lockerbie, Scotland (the crash was later referred to as the "Lockerbie bombing").

During a talk with my Grandma about psychic and the paranormal, she revealed two amazing stories. I have three elder sisters in my family but one night when she was young, my eldest sister had a horrible premonition. In this, she saw a man in blue who had collapsed at the top of the stairs. She told my mum about what she had seen and the next night, my grandad died. He had collapsed at the top of the stairs and he was wearing blue clothes. 😒

The second story she told me was also about my grandad. When he was between 18 and 20, he was a soldier and during a few nights, he saw a ghost near the area where they were fighting. It turns out many of the other soldiers had also seen it and it was apparently the ghost of "The Duke of Wellington".

My mother works at a hospital and both her and some of her colleagues have had experiences with a ghost who, according to my mum, likes to swing a heavy firedoor back and forth and seems to grunt a lot!
On one occasion she and one of her friends went to the corridor where this ghost normally is and took a pendulum each with them. After not getting an answer from one question, my mother asked if the ghost could make a noise. With that, the windows in the kitchen all rattled really loud and both my mum and her friend just bolted away down the corridor!
While I'm talking about ghosts, my family seems to have had a paticular experience with a ghost who we have called "George". He seems to have been with us in several houses and has never harmed us or anything like that but in our new house (the third house I have lived in), he doesn't seem to be around us anymore.

Then, just last night, the youngest of my three elder sisters dropped a bombshell on me. I was talking to her on the phone about what my grandma had said and about psychic in general (Since me and my mother where watching a film called "The Dead Zone") and I said about me flying down the stairs when I was 5 years old (which I wasn't too sure about doing after the way my dad reacted). She replied by saying she had a similar experience when we had moved house after my parents divorced. She had jumped from the top of the stairs and just kind of floated all the way to the bottom. I was shocked and asked why she didn't tell me and she replied she thought it sounded ridiculous (which I can understand - how many people here have said similar things?).

First chance I get, I'm going to ask my second eldest sister if she's had any experiences because this is getting really exciting. My younger brother has said he's never had any experiences but he's not bothered about it (although he said he sometimes has bad dreams like someone is there behind him or that he'll open the curtains and he worries there'll be a face at the window).

Aside from the flying down the stairs when younger, the only psychic ability I have is random Deja Vu moments when I see myself doing something whilst dreaming (normally something simple like picking up a folder) then a lot of time will pass, I'll be doing stuff and all of a sudden I'll pick up a folder and I'll have a quick flashback before thinking "hang on a minute, I saw I was going to do that ages ago."

From what I can gather, psychic abilities seem to run down my mother's side of the family and I'm still going to try to learn how to fly again. If I ever do, I'll probably practise at night in dark clothes so I'm less likely to be spotted (well, I'm not going to be doing it in broad daylight, just flying past people in the street saying "hello, what a lovely day".) πŸ˜†
I've started meditating and I'm beginning to believe in it again.

Thanks for your time.

The amount of people who have experienced this really amazes me. I've had this experience only once in my life and it's great to know I'm not crazy (I've been called crazy a lot of time in my life due to the fact I have a type of Autism called Asperger Syndrome, which causes me to think and act differently from others).

My experience was when I was five years old. It late at night and I needed to go to the toilet so I got out of bed and started going down the stairs. While on the stairs, I stopped about half way and leaned against the banister. I can't remember what I did next (considering this was about 13 years ago) but I remember slowly flying down the rest of the stairs (arms outstretched and looking around) and I know I wasn't lucid dreaming because I remember being awake for this. I landed gently at the bottom of the stairs and just went to toilet, not thinking about the fact I had just flown down the stairs. When I went back up to bed and got back in, It was then I realized what I had done and I remember quietly muttering to myself that I was flying. I did this for most of the night.

I never brought this up in conversation until a few weeks ago. I was talking to my Dad and just mentioned about the flying down the stairs. As you'd probably expect, he thought it was a joke (which annoyed me). This is the first time I've truly brought it out into the open.

One of the things that confuses me, however, is that on the night that I did it, I heard music in my head during the flying. The music was the same as the music that is played from those music boxes with the doll inside that spins around (oddly enough, my eldest sister had one during that time).

I've done a lot of reading and researching into this. After reading many people's accounts that they lost their power as they got older, I should note I read an article absolutely ages ago saying something about children have loads of biological and spiritual energy when young, which depletes as they get older. This may have something to do with how we are able to do these amazing things in the first place and aren't able to do so later. Finally, I've been looking up information on psychic powers and meditation in the hope I can once again acquire this ability (which I've especially wanted to do after seeing films such as Matilda and The Boy who could fly - God I love those films!)

If anyone has any information they could tell me, please let me know. Thank you.

i used to think I was crazy, but I have spent all night looking for a site like this with others like me, but my experiance is more intense than any I have read, me and my brother used to be able to litterally fly, I thought it was a dream, but a childhood friend remembers me showing him. I can't explain it fully, but I want to know how to do it again, all I remember was waving my arms a certain way, and id lift an be on my way. Someone please get back to me, I take this seriously after what I have read from everyone on this page, I know I'm not mad, I know its real, for sure now, no doubts. Is there anyone that can teach me to harness this and do it again?

I am glad I found this site; now I know I'm not crazy. When I was 5 years old I would go to my grandmother's house after kindergarten. I lived in a ranch house with no stairs so I loved to go to her two story house and play on the stairs. There were 6 stairs from the first floor to a landing and then a 90 degree turn and 6 more stairs from the landing to the second floor. I used to junp from the second floor to the landing and then jump from the landing to the first floor. One day I jumped from the second floor, hovered above the landing for a few seconds turned my body 90 degrees in mid air and then landed on the first floor. What was so amazing is that I thought it was perfectly natural! I think that if a child doesn't know there are limitations then something that is normally dormant in the brain takes over and makes things happen. The only other strange event happened in high school. I was staring at the clock while in German class and imagined a heavy weight on the second hand as it reached the 9 o'clock position and the clock stopped for several seconds. It freaked me out but I told my friends to watch and I did it again.

I find it rather astounding that people have experienced what I call, a childhood phenomenon. My experience was also with a flight of stairs though I can't pin point my exact age, I'm guessing between 3 and 5. The only area where my experience seems to differ from others so far is that I can recall the man I was with during these incidents. Initially, I wasn't jumping the flight of stairs alone; my hand was usually held where upon I eventually endeavoured to jump an astounding amount of stairs by myself, with the man present. This was an exhilarating experience, I was terribly proud of myself and I rather liked this man, who also happened to be multi lingual like me.

The catch is I have no idea who this man was and where he came from. I would describe what he was wearing as being a Moo-Moo, not unusual considering it was the mid 70s. Like others, I did inquire about "him" and the "jumping" years later with my Mother. She recalls the racket and incessant talking on my part, checking on me to see if I was hurt from time to time (due to the noise levels). She put it down to an "imaginary friend" but has no recollection of any man being in the house alone with me, insisting this would most definitely not have happened.

Like others here, this seemed to happen in one house and ceased with age. However, I did once see him again in a panic whilst asleep at the age of 12 in another home. The surrounding circumstances are too vague to recall, but I remembered his Moo-Moo and bearded face waking up only to realise my Father had entered my room checking to see if someone was in there, I too was concerned someone was in there.

I've never seen or heard or felt a "presence" in my life. In fact I'm certain I can't. My brothers have both had visits from my now deceased parents, I haven't - I'm rather glad I haven't. It felt good sharing this small but strange incident from my childhood and I appreciate everyone else sharing their similar experiences...

Wow! So it IS true! I used to do this in Super1, a grocery store where I lived, all the time. I was probably about 4 or 5, and I'd be bored in there because my mom always took too long. I used to hold myself up on the guard rail and the conveyor belt thingy and swing. Well, one day I decided I'd let go... I didn't fall! I floated there, about 5-7 inches off the ground! So, I never told anyone about this because when I tell my mom stuff like this she tells me to forget about it and that it's all in my head. Well, I kept doing it every time we went, and eventually, I just got so excited about it that I decided to tell my mom. She FLIPPED! She told me to cut that out, don't do that here, and go get in the car.

From that day on, she never mentioned it. I've had other crazy awesome things like that happen that I completely remember, but when I ask my mom about it she won't tell me about it. So, I'm glad I found this so I know I'm not just being silly about it all. =]

Wow I am so pleased to have found this site. I used to levitate as a very young child - I have vivid memories from the ages 3-5 of floating in bed. I hated it, it terrified me, and I was always looking up at the sky, scared that I would fly away from my mother. I developed a habit of crawling sitting on the floor clutching the carpet to stop myself floating up! I always knew when it was going to happen, as I felt a strange spinning sensation, as I began to float toward the ceiling (I was in the top bunk). Last week I told my sis about this and turns out she used to float down the stairs! She wished I had said something before, but I thought it sounded ridiculous!

I found this site while trying to find some information on this subject. When I was younger I shared a room with my brother and we had bunk beds. I slept on the bottom and my brother slept on the top. I was either three or four years old, it was daytime and I remember being up on the top bunk with the intent of jumping off the side and landing on a large sized stuffed animal placed on the floor. I remember jumping off and I guess I just started floating down really slowly. I'd say I floated down at the rate of a bubble, maybe a little slower. I would jump, float down, land, and then I would climb back up and do it again. But this was not something I did all the time. I am pretty sure it was a one time thing. One reason I think I only did this once was out of fear of being caught by my parents and getting in trouble for jumping off the top bunk bed. Because obviously that's not something you are supposed to be doing. So I am not certain, but I'm pretty sure I only did this once. I don't think I knew the significance of what was happening at the time, but I did know that it was not normal. I could tell that this was something that was not really supposed to happen, and the memory stuck with me. It would remain in the back of my mind throughout my life, occasionally surfacing and being revisited with a lot of wondering and thinking. I have memories of being as young as eight years old and knowing that there was something quite weird about this phenomenon that I had experienced. I am now 19.

Bees cannot fly in science.
Wings too small for body.
No one taught bees this.
So they fly.

In poetry, bees do fly.

Thank god we have science to tell us what is impossible right?:)

I am so glad that I have found this website. I googled this subject like many of you, looking for accounts of similar experiences, I am intrigued by the memories I have. I am amazed at how similar these accounts are to my own experience.
As a child from the age of around 4 to 10 (I am clear on the ages as it only happened in one particular house) I would stand at the top of the stairs and I would gently rise up a few inches from the floor, I never felt anything lift me and I never felt afraid although I do remember feeling light headed as if slightly disconnected. Then I would just float to the bottom of the stairs and be gently lowered back to the ground at the bottom. Then I would just go about whatever business a 4 year old goes about as if nothing had happened. I used to do it all the time. It was a bit like an invisible escalator. I thought it was what everyone did. I am in my mid 30's now and a few years ago I asked my mother if she remembered me talking about flying or floating and she said she couldn't remeber although she said I was always talking about bizzare things which she put down to an over active imagination. Sadly the floating stopped when I was around 10 and we moved house, don't know if there is any connection there or if it was simply me getting older. I always knew about the floating, it's not a memory that has suddenly come back. I never told anyone I don't know why. Then I told a friend of mine who totally ridiculed what I had told him and made me feel really stupid so I never mentioned it again for years. Since these experiences nothing out of the ordinary happened to me until around my mid 20's and now and again I get burst of things happening around me. Sometimes these things are unpleasant and I am somewhat resistant to explore much further. I am also something of a sceptic despite my experiences or maybe it's more of a denial thing because of an element of fear of things I can't control. I don't care if people think my flying story is a load of rubbish, I know those memories are real. I am careful about who I tell about this and I now have one friend who when I told believed me sraight away which was nice because I was able to talk about it and share the amazing experience with someone who didn't think I was mental! Haha!

This is real, and I hope that I can find as much information as possible on these occurrences.
When I was younger, a child, I can't pinpoint an age, I used to float. I would always go to the same place, (under this lamp on the ceiling in the living room) and move the lights. It was one of those lamps where you could rotate the lights - and I remember going back to look later that same day, or the next and checking if they had stayed the way that I had positioned them to see if I had been dreaming - but I wasn't.
I would do this fairly often, I suppose. I would always go back to the same spot and just start floating. I remember touching the ceiling and seeing my little fingerprints on it. I was amazed - although slightly oblivious to it all - at how high the ceiling was, and how short I was when I would be back on the ground again.
I remember floating for no reason; I just used to do it whenever I felt like it. I remember it being very relaxing, but I definitely did something specific for it to happen. (It may have been in my breathing pattern)
I also remember floating near a couch that we had - I guess that was another "spot."
I spoke to my father about this last night and he said that he believed me. I'm turning eighteen soon and never really looked into this until now. I guess I'm curious about it. I met a guy in November who said that he'd experienced floating as well. He also remembered staring at patterns and making them move to different places. I have faint memories of moving different colored images on the shower curtain in my bathroom as a child as well.
Anyway, my father told me that he thought the "spots" I was talking about were gateways. He asked me if I could still do it, and I told him that I haven't in years; but that I wondered if I could if I went back to the house that I grew up in.

Just wanted to share my story.

XOXO

I am so pleased to read these posts,
When I was about 5 I used to wake and have an urge to go to my stairs, I would take a standing jump and float down 10 stairs and when I realised I was floating I would feel heavey grabbing for the end post. I would then run to the top of the stair case agian and repeat for another 3 times before returning to bed. I remember on one occassion how I floated up to the celling which is about 20ft high an came down holding the top of the post. Its always stayed with me because I had a really negative feeling when I reached the bottom of the stair well as though I was being watched however it seemed playful as my sense was to repeat as I mentioned. Years later I spoke to my younger siter who confirmed that she had the floating experiance too but felt silly to mention it. I am amazed how others have had this experiance and believe all of you, I know I wasn't dreaming at the time or sleep walking I've never suffered with that the memory's are too real. Thanxs for sharing everyone x

First of all, I am amazed at how many people have experienced this! When I read all these comments I feel as if I was reading my own memories... Exactly the same! I remember flying over the stairs, on many occasions, when I was a child, then again when I was 19 I had a further experience and when I came down from the trance (it's a long story I will share later with you all) half my face was paralyzed! As well as other symptoms that still prevail concerning the left side of my body. About two weeks ago I had a similar experience... I know we can achieve this at will, if anyone knows how to learn this (please abstain fakers) contact me at eduardo_santana [at] hotmail.com. I know this is my goal in life, as useless as it may seem. And once again, I am impressed by the simmilarities described in the past posts. Please someone who really deals with this contact me.

I am glad to hear that other people also experienced the floating down stairs. I buried these experiences for years. When I was 5 years old I discovered that I could float all the way down the basement stairs from the top to the bottom.

I did this 4 or 5 times and then I showed my 4 year old sister my "new trick". She tried to do it and fell all the way down the stairs. She had to go to the hospital, as she broke 5 of her teeth. Needless to say I felt terrible guilt and vowed never to do it again.

I never told anyone, because I did not want to get blamed for what happened to my sister.

When I was 18 years old I met a woman who freaked me out by saying "...you could fly down the stairs when you were a young child, couldn't you...?

I asked her how she knew but she just smiled.

A few years ago my friend was visiting with 3 young daughters. One of them was on my front cement porch with her back facing the stairs. She was spooked when I opened the door and she started to fall backwards - I just remember thinking "don't hurt yourself" and then she floated and landed safely at the bottom landing - not a scratch on her. It was like slow motion.

There were 3 adults who witnessed this. We couldn't believe what we saw.

A few years earlier my elderly father tripped on the same porch and I didn't have time to help him - I just remember saying to myself "don't hit your face " as he was heading face first towards the concrete pad.

I was stunned and amazed that his face stopped 1 inch above the ground, as if an invisible hand had stopped his fall.

My son says that I have some kind of power.

I think the three incidents are related. The floating down the stairs was probably levitation, but what about the other two? Can you make someone else levitate?

Weird my brother, sister and I have also experienced the whole floating down the stairs thing. That was about 20 years ago. Why the hell does it always happen when your young I was about four or so when it happened. God probably just expects all of us to forget weird $hit like this, never speaking of of it again lol. If I was god I'd want more to know about this so more people would believe in me, that's if the is some sort of spiritual thing. Anyway I rambling on about nothing haha, but good to know others experienced this

It is amazing to see that I'm not alone in my experence as a child. I'm now 32 & I've been doing a little soul searching these days & remembered:

Being a child around 7 years old, standing on the landing at the top of our steps. I was at the time questioning the existance of god for some reason & said to myself if you are really real let me fly. I remember the feeling and being completely lifted up & flying down our steps through the living room & dining room & landing in the doorway of our kitchen. I felt no fear at the time and was just so amazed that I could actually fly! My Dad was in the kitchen making breakfast & I told him I could Fly.

No one believed me in my family and pretty much made a joke about me saying that for the rest of my life, they even joked with my husband about it. Never told a soul because of the family reaction until now. (I also just sent my family members a link to read all the posts!)

I also have dreams where I don't remember them & then have a dejuvu (sp?) experience where I can be present in a situation & know what every person is going to say or do! Doesn't happen often & would really love to find ways to tap back in to that energy. Thanks for sharing Everyone.

I am so excited to see accounts of others who have had levitation experiences! I am now a 54 year old well educated professional woman, but when I was 3 1/2 years old I had two experiences of floating down the stairs of our house. My bedroom was upstairs, and I had the terrible luck of falling down the stairs rather frequently due to the slick leather soles on my saddle shoes. I had developed the habit of sitting on the top step and scooting down the stairs one at a time to keep from falling. One day as I sat on the top step I suddenly was lifted up and floated down the stairs. I started shouting for my mother to come see, but she was outside hanging clothes on the line. She ran into the house just as I landed on the bottom step. I told her what had happened, but of course she did not believe me. Shortly thereafter the same thing happened again, and once again my mother arrived after I was seated on the bottom step. I have talked to my mother about this a few times since then, and she remembers me sreaming for her to come. She says she believes me, but few others I have told do. While doing some genealogy back in the 1980's, I discovered that the house in which this happened was built and lived in by my great-great grandparents. In 1927 my Gr-gr grandmother was dying, and my Gr-gr grandfather decided he could not live without her. He stopped eating and died two days before she did. Their funerals took place in this house. We lived in this house until I was 10 and the entire time I lived there I kept hearing a man calling my name at night and waking me up. I was absolutely sure it was haunted. I have come to the conclusion that my gr-gr grandparents were responsible for floating me down the stairs. My parents later renovated the house and my mother still lives there. Even though I am an adult, I could not stay in that house at night alone for any amount of money. Several other family members have reported strange happenings in the house, but I am the only one to report floating down the stairs.

I very much believe you for I have done this before. I remember when I was little I would float, or persay fly alot. I remember jumping off my bed and just, like, I guess swimming through the air and dwon three steps. I would float down stps all the time. I would do that alot. I also remember when I was younger I would float in my sleep. The only reason I know this is because I remember falling from the air when I woke up. I definantly believe you. If only I could still do it. That is an ability I lost a while ago. Don't know why, I mean, I did use this ability. :)
I remember the exact feeling, taht is how I know it was real. I remember taht feeling. I remember trying to keep up in the air and turning corners. It was so much fun. If only we could regain those skills. You know, how is it we could do those thiong when we are young, but when we get older we can no longer use those skills?

Wow, this is amazing. I also have a memeory of floating down some stairs in our house, including roud a corner, when I was about 5 or 6. I just went to walk down stairs but my hand never quite touched the rail and my feet never quite touched the stair and then it was tho I was carried upright by something invisible and just floated to the midde landing, about 15 stairs. I never realy thought anything of it and didn't really remember it at something strange until I was about 15.

I have spoken to 3 other people who have reported memories of floating down the stairs too and these are all people I trust. Most people I have told recon it was a dream, and I know that is what it must seem like, but like other people that have commented here, I have never registered it as a dream as it has never felt ike one. I have memories of dreams and it does not fit into this category of memories at all.

This has to be investigated. I'm really chuffed I found this site.

Like lots of other people, I have memories of floating/ hovering over steps on the stairs as a young child too, and got to your page by googling it. The even weirder thing is, I found out a few months ago that my brother-in-law has the same memories too! Definately an investigation by someone needed I think!

yes!
the stairs thing, I have alway kind of ignored it although I can remember it happening
when I was about 6 I think I just randomly decided to try and jump down the last 5 or 6 steps and instead of making a big leap I kind of floated slowly down and I can remember watching the stairs beneath me
i did it more then once, acctaully
i always just told my self it was a dream although I know it wasn't, so I never told anyone up until the other day
my grandma apparently had the same experiance
odd isn't it?

I'm now 30 and I'm sure the experence was real but I was very young, I think around 8 years old, I have tryed to convince myself it was a dream but deep down I know it wasnt!

Ok, I hav't achieved psychicness yet but once I made a PSI Ball Because I felt something warm-hot in my hands and they felt wierd. But Lately I have been having dreams where I know I'm psychic and I magnetically pull something small at me at will. I swore I have some psychicness. There was a feeling I had when I drew the items. I don't know how to describe it-- my best description is I truly beleived it would come to me and it did. I still have that feeling. All I have to do is concentrate on that feeling and I know I can get it. But before I try it I just wanted to know what people think of that. Also I have had a lot of flying dreams. Like usually I'm fueled and then il run out of fuel to fly. But the strange thing is I can say I flied in real life. I felt what its like to fly in my dream. And it was real.

I remember the day I had first levitated. 23 years ago, I was walking towards the kitchen. I saw me Dad hovering like three feet above the ground, then fell and fainted. I tried, It didn't work. I jumped of the stairs, didn't work. Then I just walked of my bed. "I fell free floatish" I said, I asked myself "I can't be levitating. It's immpossible"

The next day I found my Dad Levitating again, I flew right over his head and he's said "So, you figured out the whole family can levitate, ehh" I was shocked. " It's something that was just passed threw the bloodline" I still can levitate this very day. I'll post a video of me when I was a child doing it.

There seems to be quite a lot of people recalling that when they were younger they could float/levitate, weird thing is I had those experiences too. Of course when I look back it feels like I was just dreaming or something but I do remember jumping in the air in my grandmother's house and then coming back down very, very slowly. It'd be nice if we could figure out how to regain those skills.

I just completely froze when I read your post. I have the exact same memory as your sister when she was a child. In fact I got here because I googled "I could levitate myself as a child" to see if anyone else had the same experience.

I have always recalled that I was able to float down the stairs when I was 5/6 years old. I don't think I did it many times - maybe 2 or 3 times tops. It would happen only in the morning when I had just woken up and I would go downstairs and kiss my dad goodbye on his way to work. I wasn't in a standing position going downstairs, I was sitting (I used to bump down the stairs on my backside for safety) and I remember missing out 5 or 6 steps at a time by hovering just above the carpet. I don't know how I did it, but I know I wasn't frightened by it. Gees, it makes me shudder as I can recall so vivdly when it happened and as such I don't think it was a dream (I could be wrong of course).

I've never been able to do it since, but I'm sure the feeling I had when I was 'levitating' is the same kind of feeling when I am on a rollercoaster or go over a small bridge in a car - just the strange sense of weightlessness. I'd love to be able to confirm that memory by doing it again and as your father says he can still do it I have hope that I can!

Thanks for sharing your experience fourth generation and everyone else on here!

If you really want to float or fly then believe you have got to believe. I wouldn't say it is impossible because I have seen people float in the air on television without something helping them they say you have to relax. It amazing and it true. Usually it happens to gifted and talented people. I have felt the bed floating started from when I was a kid when I first moved in this house. It used to be well fun used to get me off to sleep. It would go round in circles I did wish once that it would fly outside fly to the sky kids wish anything at that age though don't they. 😊

when I was around seven or eight I clearly remember just jumping and just staying inthe air and if I thought of which way I wanted to move I would that way. Once, my aunts both saw me just kind of floating down when I called them to look at me. The same thing has happened to my older cousin. Sadly though, right after my grandfather died it just stopped and I haven’t been able to β€œtap” into it since.

when I was really young me and my friend were meditating, we didn't know why but just knew we could do it. I was able to lift objects around me easily and could see them perfectly in my head. I was even able to lift my friend of his bed several feet but was never able to levitate myself. Now I'm trying to search my mind for those times, and I'm not sure if it will help but maybe you can try that too. Search your mind for what you were thinking and how easy it was, and then attempt what you did there. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work, because I can't even levitate objects anymore. Just remain vigilant and you will prevail.

man I can levitate and tell you how, so heres how to. You have to open your mind completly and search past your memery's to find the portion of your brain that has your energy then imagine that you start to rise after that just start to relax and consantrat on levatating then when fully understand that your brain has no limate's you will fly

Shane,

I'm still trying to remain a bit "anonymous" at this point... As I have a job where people could hear about some of what I have experienced at it could actually hurt my ability to provide for my family. Still, I am very open to discussing these occurrences on this site, away from prying-eyes...and Google searches. ;-)

Lucas, if I knew HOW to do it, I'd be doing it all the time. However, I don't think it's something you can just turn on or off. My father has the ability to do it, and I must have had a little of that rub-off on me as a child... Before I got older and convinced myself it wasn't possible for me to do anymore. I assume it has something to do with the 90% of our brain that is typically not used, but my father never learned how to do it. He could just do it. If you do discover that it is something that can be learned/taught though, let me know too! :-)

oboegirl22,
just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean it is not possible. Just open your eyes and take a look around. You are living in a bubble and should look at world a different way. I hope you find something intersting.

I will tell you one thing. Most humans (non-gifted ones) only use 25% of their brains. A lot of paranormally gifted ones must be able to use more than that. I mean, who knows what our brains can make us do if we could use 100% of them! We'd be superhumans! So, that said, I think your story makes complete sense. I, for one, accept it.

I agree with notquitesurewhattodowithit. I have never heard of this, but it makes sense. I think that maybe you should see if you can float, like above your bed or something.

yes I can see why you wouldn't want your father to attempt it again. Are there any other family members that have told you about their levitation experiences? If not you ask some that you feel comfortable asking. You should probably not ask them in the prescence of other people though, becasue if you do they will probably just say no. Good luck

psychic13,

Yes, I would be even MORE of a believer if I could just convince my father to "float" one time in my presence. His health is not good anymore though, so I would not want to be responsible for him over-doing things and ending up in the hospital (or worse).

I also had dream experiences somewhat similar to yours as a child. I would have a typical dream where I would be falling in open space (as if from an airplane), but instead of waking up before I hit the ground, I would remember actually hitting the ground in my dream, having things pause for several seconds, then look down on my body as I would float up into the air. I would then inevitably wake up from my dream and find that I had fallen out of bed... And was lying in the exact same position as I had seen myself in while floating up away from my body. Spooky!

wow that's amazing and I think I can relate to it but I'm not sure if it is levitating or astral travel because it never happens anymore. Up until a few years ago I would have dreams that were obviously not true but as soon as I would wake up I would feel myself fall from at least a foot or two above my bed. It always scared me. I don't think it was astral travel because the dreams were so fake. You know little kid stuff like being chased by something out of the closet. So yes I am behind you 100% and I believe that you did levitate.

wow. That is amazing. If you consider what the rest of your family has said, it would make sense I suppose. I honestly have never heard of that, but all things considered, it makes sense. Please, don't try anything based on my comment... Who am I to say anyways. Look at my page...you'll see why
