Wait . . . Shadows? As in the form of a person, but without color, completely black?

I'm nowhere near an expert- but I'd recommend to your son to do the same as the people in the shows. They're never afraid of the ghosts (and if we're talking about something like that here- it doesn't seem to be a violent spirit, just want wanting to communicate). It would probably be hard- but maybe if he could come to terms and realize that himself- he wouldn't get so freaked out by the- maybe we could then actually communicate with them if he showed them he was friendly too.
Or you could move- or get a dog to keep your son company. There's also the real chance that it's all in his head, even if he believes it's happening, it's just a fear of being alone. Something as simple as a dog (bigger dog like a German Shepard) could help him in that.

I read your story and I am a bit worried about your son. There may be a possibility that he has some sort of ability. But maybe it's because of that show, "Ghost Hunters". Perhaps he got very frightened and he's just imagining it. The world is a mysterious place so I don't exactly have the solution to the problem. Just try your best for him for a while and see what happens.
