Dream Diving

I experienced something that I have never experienced before, the other day. It started last week when I thought my abilities just stopped. I could not feel anyone like I normally did and my headaches even went away. I was very disturbed with this because it has never happened before and I thought my abilities were disappearing.

In the mean time, I have been fighting with a good friend of mine and we have not spoken. So through this time that I have been bugged by not talking to him is the time when my abilities went away. I thought maybe he was enabling mine, because he also has abilities, but I knew that probably was not true.

So one night before I went to bed, I was thinking hard about talking to him and that I needed to find a way to bring all this up. I eventually fell asleep and started having a dream that I was my "spirit" self and I was passing through random peoples' dreams searching for my friend. I kept yelling his name as I was getting flashes of random dreams that did not involve me until finally I heard my friend yell back and ask me what I wanted. He and I had a short talk about what was bugging me and all of a sudden I seemed to have lost connection and I immediately woke up! I was completely freaked out by what had just happened because I never dream unless it is about the future.

Once I woke up, I text my friend that has known about abilities longer than me and he said I experienced something called a "dive" but couldn't really tell me a lot about them. What he did tell me was that during a dive you can invade someone's subconscious mind while asleep and you can communicate with them. He also said that it takes tons of energy to do and not many people can do them and the reason my abilities were "gone" was probably because my body was saving the energy because I wanted to communicate with my friend so bad.

I have been wondering if anyone else can do this and how you could practice doing this knowingly. Any advice would help.

I think I found this post on purpose. I need to know how to keep someone from influencing my dreams. Its happened twice now and the last one was last night. I attempted to keep them out but as soon as I feel asleep they were in. Any advice?

Thanks Taurusgirl! And Revsilverson, I would not do this purposley to mess with someones' subconcious But if I am able to do this, like you, I would like to be able to controll it. And as for the term, it was just something I heard it called. But thanks for the information!

in this instance we have to discuss ethics as in it isn't nice to go into peoples dreams without their knowledge. I can go into other peoples dreams and influence the activities in the dreams. This can be very upsetting to someone who doesn't know what is happening. But it can be great fun if can find a partner to do it with. I have never heard of the term dream dive (it doesn't sound very authentic) - it is merely directing consciousness into someone else's energy. There is no diving involved.

Lie down and not sleep, but go into a trance. I sort of close my eyes and sort of push them back, in a way. Like close your eyes and move your eyes up, then try to telepathically call them.
