I have always been able to walk in a house and tell if there is something in there or not. But I just started to read about psychic/medium and how some of them have started out. My experiences are similar.
For example, I was at my friend's house for the first time, and I was in his house alone while he was outside with other friends talking. I felt as if some one was with me. It didn't seem like it was there to harm me just to observe me. So I had told my friend what I was feeling and I asked him if anyone has died in the house, and his reply was yes. His uncle had died in one of the rooms. This experience is what hit me the most, and that's how I got into the psychic/medium area.
Another experience is I told one of my closest friends and he had decided to test me. So he would ask me questions for example what is his mothers middle name. It seem like some one was informing me the name but I could only get the first three letters. This had happened several times. So I know it wasn't just luck.
But I would like to know if I do have any abilities and how do I increase them. I would also like to know who was giving me the letters of the names and how to contact them if possible.

From the sounds of it, you are psychic. Don't call yourself a medium because that is completely different (I should Know, I am a spiritualist!) You need to note this, Before trying to explore this further, you need your spirit guide. He or she will protect you. You need to try and communicate with them and build a relationship with them.
