The Highway Drive to the Store

Two years ago my son and I were on our way to the nearest town 30 miles away. I thought it be a bit faster to go down the road until we got to the highway. Half way to the highway I felt danger, and so told my son we were going a different way to town. He said to me "But why mom?" I said I didn't feel safe going that way today.

We went to town and went shopping. On the way back my son ask me to take the highway to see if anything was dangerous on that road today. I told him we would be in a lot of traffic as the road was closed. He kept insisting and so I agreed to go down the highway towards home.

We only went down a short ways on the highway and yep sure enough the road was blocked off. From where we were in the car on the ground and all the traffic ahead stuck in the traffic jam, we could not see what was going on. We had to detour over a bridge towards another town farther from where we live. As I got to the top of the bridge my son and I looked over to the right of the car and then we seen what had happen.

A semi had run over a car, to us it looked more like just something smashed into the ground that was shinny. My son kept looking and said to me "Mom how did you know there was danger taking the highway?". I told him that I have these "Premonitions" when something is dangerous for my family, friends or for myself. He asked "How do you get these mom?" I told him I didn't know they just came to me.

Later on I read where the little car pulled out in front of the semi and the semi driver didn't have a chance to stop and ran over the car. Killing the two passengers in that car.

Now when my son is with me and I say we can't go this way or that, or can't go here or there, he never questions me about it anymore.

It's fantastic that you have these premonitions. You and your family will remain safe because of them. I'm glad you listened to them and that you and your son are safe.

Flutter - read the guardian thing so understood it was another accounting. The bonds with our children are strong I think. When you child is older, depending on the child, 15-18 probably, you can share more with them. Maybe not all of it. Surprisingly they understand the basics. The proof is in the pudding. I like that phrase. They've seen proof so explanations are good at some point, basic ones. It will teach them to trust their instincts and keep them safe to some degree.

Made comment to wrong thing as I got one on here about my sons Guardian Angel too so sorry. But the drive to the store my son was so supprised he just could not figure out what was going on. And yet this son of mine is the one that I use to be able to say things he was thinking and he look at me strange.

Flutterofwings - I'm glad you were kept safe. Things of this nature have happened to me. I hope you remembered to be grateful. When your son is older, 16 or 17 maybe, you might go into more detail. Tell him to trust his feelings. I did with my two oldest.
