It's me again and this time I'm realizing I'm doing things wrong. I'm an emapath or clairsentient. I still have trouble distinguishing the two. I've learned what I can do! That's something good I can say. I'm sensitive to energies in the air and earth, (I can clearly see these! As auras and waves of energy just moving like water.) crystals, PLANTS! (that's the medium I'm really good with, next to energies of air and earth.) animals, and people. Now I know what I can do I just don't know what to do with it. The thing I have problems with are taking the energies, feelings, and know symptoms of people.: (My mother has glaucoma and ever since she's been diagnosed with it I've noticed my own sight feeling not as sharp, I've been feeling pressure and pain in my eyes. Also my father had gotten into a work related accident that has left him with memory loss. When I'm around him too long my mind starts to get foggy. I think I might be taking on their symptoms and somehow lessening or not allowing them to feel it themselves. I've tried shielding, but it's so hard I have to constantly think myself surrounded by light or a blanket or cotton candy (that's an original technique I made up.) I'm just doing what I use to do as a kid and just leave myself all open and I'm feeling everything but as I feel more I get more clouded and I can't focus on particular feelings or energies it all becomes this big wad of mixed feelings without origin and it's so hard to clear out. Surprisingly, each day begins as a new clean slate with almost carrying over from the day before. So please someone give me some advise teach me the ways of how to deal. It's really becoming a lot to cope with.

To be honest bro, it's all willpower. Maybe try reciting a phrase firmly in your mind with the belief it is true such as"I won't get others symptoms!" Or whatever works. It's your body, you have control of what happens, never forget that.

Oh I've also had small orbs I'm guessing some kind of spirits trying to get my attention making little noises and bright flashes.

Thank you everyone 😊 it's just been so crazy, winter is not my season at all:/. Vergil117 I'm just an empath I see energy fields, I can sense the emotional state of plants animals and people, rarely objects. I sometimes see spirits but the don't seem to notice me much, never talked to one. Uhm that's all I can really do. Healing is outta my league, the only thing I healed was a jumping spider I found dead or dying in the sun on my driveway it was on it's back and not moving so I figured why not. It took forever for it to twitch let alone roll over and walk away:) but I did it. But yea that's all I can do.

lately i've been trying this new technique (new to me) I picture my spine as a rod of white light and this is the true me. Anything that comes into my path that makes me question as to whether this is the true me, gets bounced off the light, if I know for sure it is the true me (my feelings, my physical self) then it is absorbed into the light and is ok to be there. I don't know, seems to work better than anything I've tried before. The true me being honest, positive and loving and in good healthy physical form. I don't get as emotional as in the past and feel a million times healthier and have mountains of energy and feel not as "bothered" by other people's emotions, able to distinguish better what is mine and their's.

If you are still taking things in and feel like they are dragging you down, try and cleanse yourself of them. I learned through breathing and visualizing that I could rid them of myself also.
I focus and breathe and push the energy away, into the earth, where it can be neutrally absorbed. I don't want it to go to others and this always helps me recenter. I still shield but this my help when you want to stay around people longer.

I also can do a reverse of this and use the good earth energy to surround others and move away pain or illness. This is still hard for me and I work on it. But I find if I purposely take in the negative and push it out it will help with healing

I had the same problem for several years myself until
I ran across a book called You are Psychic by Pete A. Sanders Jr. As for shielding the I visualize myself blended with the earth's magnetic field and everything I don't want to sense flows past me. I hope this helps.

im Empathic as well, and I can tell you its hard to deal with sometimes. I don't really take on symptoms of illness usually, mine is strictly emotions. I can't be around too many people or I feel like moodswinging, its overwhelming and I can sometimes feel like passing out. Its horrible. I can't teach you though... I'm sorry.: (but I can tell you a way to shield. Imagine a white light coming from the earth and surrounding your entire body, much like your Aura. And imagine all the sickness and emotions bouncing off you because of the light. Could you tell me a bit more about your other experiences? I would really like to help as much as I can, but I can't teach you stuff...

I'm really empathic like this, but I learned how to keep peoples' stuff out of my mind and energy field. A healthy amount of detachment will do it well. Meditation assists it. If you're a visual person visualizing shields will work well as I see you use already, but if you're not highly visually inclined other methods work better. I could suggest some techniques if you'd like.

I'm not an empath so I can't advise you, but I can say that I use the bubble technique all the time myself. I mostly use it to send energy to others and protect them with it.

I think the key is that you first have to feel you are in a state to cut off, so you have to already have enough energy. So, for me, the first part is visualizing the white light coming into my crown, slowly traveling down each part of my body, then out my hands and soles of my feet. [I don't keep it in because I tend to easily get too much energy that damages me.] But it is sort of a cleansing step. Then I visualize the bubble of light that is the most soothing in my current state.

Usually a pinkish-purple is most calming for me. But other times when I need hope, optimism to balance me out, it is golden yellow. Green is good for growth, renewal for me.

But then, you shouldn't have to continue the visualization. You need to build up your own faith in your own protection. You have the light in you. You can expand it out or in, as you desire. No one can ever destroy "your" energy as it will always be conserved. And, yes, you always have some entity around you (many, many) who have your growth and protection at heart. You need to be confident of all these things, IMO.

I feel as overwhelmed with all those feelings around me as well! My empathic side is getting stronger lately and I constantly feel drained when I forget to do the white light exercise.
