Blocked Clairvoyance

I'm a 44 yo female that has had success developing my Clairs (audio, cognizant, and sentient especially) in the last few years. I have undergone an overall spiritual life make over after some serious health issues. However, I really feel my medium clairvoyance is blocked or something. On the positive side I do see orbs while awake, especially blue, white and purple and white mists. And I have been able to visualize the location of things I've lost a few times. I also have visual medium abilities in my dreams but no luck bringing that to my awake life which is the problem. I've felt the presence of spirits many times, and I feel like they are trying to manifest for me visually but I just can't receive it. I feel the energy building up but it does not materialize. The spirits have to wait until I fall asleep. Very frustrating.

So far I have asked for my clairvoyance to open, I meditate and I have worked with 3rd eye crystals. Only my dream clairvoyance seems to have gotten better.

If I do have a block it might be because I did have a scary clairvoyance experience when I was young, about 5 years old. It was nighttime and I saw a scary hand reach up from the side of my bed at night. And at 8 years old when grandfather died and I remember asking him to visit but that I didn't want to "see " him in the visit. My grandfather did visually appear to my aunt and my brother shortly after his death which is funny. I've only seen deceased family members in dreams or while meditating.
