Is Moving Things With Your Mind Psychic?

So my name is Matt. I'm 16. I believe I have the ability to move things. I know for a fact that I have done this and it started about 2 months ago.

My cousin and I were in a graveyard and trying to ghost hunt like we've seen on tv because we're really interested in that.

But anyway, when we got back to his house, we played the ps3 and he was beating me in a game and I get really competitive. And he kept passing me and making me lose so I literally looked at his controller and wanted him to drop it so I could pass him on the game and right when I was thinking that, I got a strong migraine and then his controller just flew out of his hand. I know this sounds stupid, but it's the truth. After that he didn't move or speak for alike 2 minutes and just stared at his controller on the ground.

So I went home the next morning and looked up stuff about moving things with your mind and all the sites said you have to usually have your hand over the object your trying to move and focus your energy on it. Well, I didn't do that. I just thought it.

So since then I've started practicing moving things and I can move certain things, nothing heavy, stuff as heavy as a game controller and water bottles filled with water.

But I can't get things to move all the time. It seems to only happen when I'm mad. So can someone please tell me, does this mean I'm psychic? Does moving things with my mind mean I'm psychic?

Someone please tell me!

So that's why whenever me and my friends are quiet my mom checks up on us -_-.

*For example I set the animals to watch over the kids while I'm in the bedroom folding laundry, and sometimes I'd get a message from them before the kids start fighting.

Hmmm...maybe this is due to the famous "Mommy Radar System".
When they get really quiet then you know all heck is going to break out, right? 😁

thanks chetyre but I've always found ways to use these "abilities" in my daily life. For example the skills "telepathy" and "empathy" I consider just extension of communication via spirit energy most people call chi or prana or some other name.

For example I set the animals to watch over the kids while I'm in the bedroom folding laundry, and somtimes I'd get a message from them before the kids start fighting. I'm trying to document it to better understand what is going on but I was wondering if anyone else has tried to communicate with animals? Or have other examples of how to incorporate safe usage of their abilities in every day life. I want to gather suggestions to give my kids one day. Thanks everyone:) peace light and love:)

Another issue also is that many people have been taught that such "skills" are evil.

Some feel that intuition, for example, is the work of the "devil" and others are taught that these "skills" are either signs of mental illness, imaginary or just faked to get attention.

Sometimes these skills are misinterpreted and sometimes it is just coincidence... Do an action and something else happens and the person thinks they somehow made something happen.

One of the reasons is that most people really do not accept "psychic" abilities (I won't use the word "powers") as being real.

Secondly many people misunderstand these skills and think it comes from outside of themselves rather than originating from within.

Also we, as a collective, really have very little understanding of how the human mind and body works so when one gets a "feeling" or a hunch, they do not realize that the brain is ALWAYS absorbing information even though our "conscious" mind isn't aware of it.

The "unconscious" mind constantly processes this information and often feeds the relevant information into the "conscious" part of the mind and when one becomes aware of it one often thinks it is some space spook whispering stuff into their ears.

As for losing these "skills" it is true it can atrophy if it is not utilized but one would have to ask themselves some serious questions such as "How does this skill truly serve me?" or "Is this skill more important than learning skills for the real world?".

Furthermore what is one going to do with such skills anyways?

It is all in what you wish to do with it. If you think it will somehow serve you realistically then by all means develop it but if all it will be used for is to amuse oneself then one may have to ask oneself if it is really worth the effort, time and energy to develop these "skills".

I don't think such skills will be lost completely but it might take longer to strengthen it if it is abandoned for a long period of time in lieu of other more useful pursuits.

i always thought everyone was born with one of this "pyschic" powers naturally and just had to learn how to use and develop for the good of the whole of humanity or lose it if they didn't use or learn to control it? I'm confused, why is everyone so scared of their powers?

An Exercise to Assist You in Developing Telekinesis

*Choose a utensil
*Hold it in your hand comfortably
*Find a comfortable position to sit and relax breathing effortlessly
*Close your eyes
*Let the days thoughts go
*Focus on the utensil
*Slowly run your fingers over its surface and feel its energy
*At the moment when there is no separation between you and the fork and you actually feel its energy- bend it

If it bends you did the exercise correctly. If not it could be because your mind wasn't focused and other thoughts entered. It will take some practice and persistence when developing telekinesis.

Hope That Helps,
Tess, ❤

For all my successes in life, most are derived from one single thing: Determination. This comes from your solar plexus (both front and back) and this is what allows people to do amazing things, whether it's to move a vehicle off a child, move controllers or win the lottery. Where there is a will there is a way. Anger is just the outlet of this will center. If you're interested in doing more research, look into the subject of chakras. I have some info on my spiritual site at but there are numerous other resources.

Though he didn't articulate the will center directly, one of my favorite quotes is by Calvin Coolidge: "Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

Thanks for sharing.
