I Wish I Knew How To Use It

I've read through a few of the stories posted on this site and I see that a lot of people have the dream that comes true thing happening to them. For as long as I can remember, I've had that as well. It's never anything important, but when it actually happens outside of the dream it's like hey, I remember that from my dream... A deja vu feeling. As the years progressed, different feelings have started happening to me. I can remember several occasions where I had this knot in my stomach, like something was not right only to find out later in the day or even the next day about something that happened to someone that I knew. One of the feelings was so bad that I knew something terrible was going to happen, but I just couldn't (and still can't) connect who it is going to happened to or what was going to happen. The next day I found out that one of my good friends, who was 6 months pregnant lost her baby. Another weird story is that on a Friday morning on my drive into work, I got this feeling of nausea that stuck with me for the entire day. No appetite to eat and so sick to my stomach through the entire weekend. I even remember laying on my couch in terrible pain thinking to myself that I was having appendicitis. Monday morning, I felt a bit better and then Tuesday I woke up fine as if nothing was wrong for days. Tuesday night comes along and out of no where, my husband starts having excruciating pains in his stomach. I took him to the hospital and sure enough... Appendicitis is what he had, minus all the the symptoms that you usually get before you have appendicitis, because I had them all for him. I just really wish I knew how to control these feelings so I knew why I was feeling them and who will be the next person affected my my knot in my stomach.

hi I get that all the time I know most times who is ringing before I answer.
And I feel sensations that I have to contact somone iv not seen for ages. I did it yesterday only to find she had lost her husband a couple of days after my mum died.
I also feel abliged to tell people I meet things about them even if it means nothing to them, I can not explain

You are welcome. I am over there just about every other day. It is an interesting community, that is for sure.

Try this: When one of those feelings grab you, take a DEEP breath, hold it while closing your eyes. After counting to ten [or whichever number you prefer- well, except ONE (1) 😊] and BEFORE you open your eyes ask for Guidance.
Let the breath out VERY slowly (liken it to Lamaze, if need be) and concentrate on the ISSUE (not in finding out WHICH person you should contact).
SOMEtimes, a "picture" comes through. It may take a bit of practice, but it is MUCH worth the effort.
Thank you.

Vavoom...Thank you for your comment. Keeping a journal is a really good idea. I've thought about it before, but I haven't acted on it as of yet. I should do it for my son and myself. It's something that would be helpful in the future. My son was at it again with the phone last night. My phone rang while I was in my kitchen and as I reached to grab it, he ran by me saying, "it's daddy" and sure enough, it was.

Whitebuffalo...The thing that I would love to know is how to use whatever it is that I have. I don't give too much thought to the dreams other than saying that I remember dreaming that, mainly beacause I don't really even remember dreaming about it until it actually happens. Then as it is happening, I'll remember the entire conversation, or whatever it was that was in my dream, before the intire episode, if you will, actually finishes. I know the outcome before it actually happens. My thing is that I get that gut feeling that something isn't right, like something bad is going to happen. I've tried to think of people in my life, friends and family at that moment when I'm getting the feeling to see if I could associate the feeling to someone, but I haven't been able to make that connection it as of yet. I'm trying to figure out what I can do to make that connection, if that makes sense. I don't get these feelings too often. They are very sporatic and sudden but the are there.

And thank you for the link on the sister site. I'm going to check it out because I believe these things go hand and hand. We've had several experiences in my house where as my husband never believed in the paranormal before (and still claims that he doesn't) but he's even witnessed things himeself now.

You know what they say, though, right?
If you question whether you are crazy, then you are not.
My son actually seems to have started just about the same time YOURS did. He is OUR caller I.D. Too. 😊 Just last week, the phone rang and he rattled off about twenty numbers. I picked up the phone, looked at the I.D. And asked him if he could repeat that. All 20 numbers were exactly right.
We do not know anyone with that phone number.
Just so that I can make sure we are working through the same thing together, is it the cessation of the dreams you wish, or are you more in learning how to control?
Just so that you can get a better picture of where I am coming from, I am adding the link to a story elsewhere (a sister site).
You can read it or not. It is just a "we in this together" kind of story.
Know what I mean?
Thank you.

Viola, I so enjoyed reading about your experiences and those of Whitebuffalo too. These type of things that seem to be shared in families are very special. I'm wondering if you keep a journal of these accounts? It would be fascinating and informative. Not to mention how important it could be in the future for your son to be able to have that history at his fingertips. How I wish my mother had done the same with her own experiences. I feel I've not only lost her (she passed 22 years ago) but her wealth of experiences also. You both have very special gifts. Thanks so much for sharing. 😊 ❤

Hello Whitebuffalo. Thank you for your response. I've never been to any kind of specialist to help me to better uderstand what it is that I have. I've basically been trying to figure it out myself beacuase I get the feeling sometimes that I may be crazy and imagining these things. My above post is the first time that I actually reached out to ANYONE. I never really told anyone (besides my husband after the appendicitis) about any of my premonitions or gut feelings. As far as I know, no one else in my family has ever experienced anything like this except for my son. He's 4 now but there are a few things that have happened with him that makes me believe that he may have a gift himself. For example, my husband was working late one night and I was lying down in my bed with my son, trying to get him to sleep. He was about 2 at the time. Out of nowhere, he sits up in bed and starts saying daddy dead, daddy dead. He repeated it several times and it made my kind of nervous so I called my husband, who was fine thank goodness but the next morning my husband went to work to find out that one of his coworkers died in their sleep that night. My son was so young at the time and just learning to speak so it made me believe that he had some type of premonition about his coworker's death and he knew that it was associated with his father, but couldn't explain that is wasn't actually happening to daddy. Another example with my son is that a few times when our house phone rang, he'd call out...it's Dana's (my friend) calling or whoever it was on the phone before I even answered the phone and he was right. My daughter on the other hand has never given me any reason to believe she has premonitions or anything. There are so many more experiences that I've had that I just can't explain. I just would love to be able to figure out how to have some type of control over it especially because in the next few years, I'm sure that I'm going to have to start trying to explain to my son when the time comes that he starts to question his little gift that I think he may have.

Hello Viola.
My Grandmother used to scare the Hades out of us by calling up in the middle of the night to ask us to pay close attention to a certain aspect of our lives. She did not always "peg" the issue, but she was perty durn close. She even called my Parents, while I was living a continent away from any of them, to inform them that there was a Grandchild on it's way, and that certain "names" came through rather loudly.
My son (whom my Grandmother called my Parents about) was born with what would appear to be a similar quality. I have had deja vu before, but I KNEW these situations were vastly different.
Personally, I have taken my son to just about every "specialist" that I can come up with to take him TO. I do not want him to "erase" this ability, I just hope that I can help him learn to control it better. He is young enough that his emotions take over, and he runs helter skelter through life trying to "fix" it all.
My point IS, my perspective on this, is purely second hand through the experiences of my Grandmother and Son. I am basically the "sandwich" generation.
For my son, it was suggested that he imagine his dreams (please understand, that I am writing this how I think of it, as MY son would appear to be much younger than you. I am NOT trying to be condescending) as shut in a large Curio Cabinet. If they are..."emotional" dreams (like those that show a death, or a maiming) he is to envision himself reaching out to LOCK the cabinet. With that ACTION, he is essentially letting his Ability KNOW that he needs a second to work through it.
Eventually they HAVE slowed down. He has to use the cabinet visualisation still, at times, but it is a way to "give him time".
I should point out that "dream" is used for both sleep and awake "visions".
I just thought I might be able to help you calm the waters a bit as you are learning to deal with this.
Thank you for your time.
