I first experienced nightmares, with constant themes, around the age of 4-5, it was always the same dream, I was located in my apartment, with nobody in it, then I felt an ominous presence, or a feeling that something bad lurks around the corner, then the lighting in the apartment would suddenly become dimmer, and I would either get pulled to the hallway of the building or I would run scared towards it, then I would continue running down the stairway, until I would feel a dark and evil presence catch up to me and at that moment I would curl up, and wake up. I have only one time managed to run outside the building, but the demon caught me, I couldn't see it in a dream, only feel its dark presence, I had mustered the courage to stand to this presence, and turned around, and there was nothing there. When I was a kid it was pretty disturbing, to constantly experience such dreams, but now at the age of 25, I understand that demons don't have real power, they feed on our fear, or they could be profound spiritual junkies, that crave all that is negative, anger, hatred, envy, jealousy, fear etc. They are exactly the opposite of us, and it must be a very pitiful existence, to live such lives of pure negativity, imagine how empty inside you must be to attack little children during sleep, and feed on their emotions. This alone tells you about their psychology.

A.j, two things... One, when you say First, is it right to assume First is his first name? Also, demons don't have a specific trait, they can do what they want, and sound how they need to sound.

i don't really know what would help, but you could be a medium. My friend can see things like you, and has had physical attacks from violent spirits as well. What she told me to do if I had such attacks, is to put up barriers. Simply sprinkling salt at the step of your bedroom may help. Also, another barrier I have heard of is white light. Its a mental barrier, and you have to have good mental strength to keep it up. Imagine a white light surrounding you and protecting you from darkness. I never had such attacks, so I can't guarantee that this will help, but this is just things I have heard that might work. Good Luck.

Regular or white sage has high amounts of good spiritual energy in them. Either buy a plant and leave it in your room right next to the bed or burn some sage before bed. Demons hate sage they get sick from it and will move away. Also, avoid people that are self centered, or people which seem to bring fights in to your place.

Yes, I have felt/seen an energy the form of a human bend over me while I was sleeping in bed. You are seeing quite a lot - more than I. If you feel that it's out of control, I would see someone about it. Want to let you know that asking for help from Archangel Michael really did help. I have been dealing with what I believe to be demonic attacks since I was a small child. I'm 29 now and still alive and kicking. It used to terrify me and at times it still does, but I've learned to accept it. And I'm not nearly afraid as I used to be.
Yes, it's true that things can be sent out, but do you know anyone that would do that to you? Think rationally have you upset anyone that badly to send a demon after you? Those are just questions to ask yourself. I don't expect you to answer them on here if you don't want to.

I was speaking to Patricia (who is on my course) and we got on to the subject of ghost and other entities. I told her of an experience that has happened to me twice. Plus I have a few friends that have shared the same experience as me.

A few years ago I was in my bed. I had just returned home from work earlier then normal. It was still light outside as it was only 4pm. I layed on my bed and briefly closed my eyes. My bedroom door was open. Within an instant I felt as if my soul was about to leave my body.

My eye's started to open and close but I was not asleep. I then felt this sensation that someone or something was holding me down! I could not move and I felt trapped. I only managed to open my eyes but I was still unable to move the rest of my body. There was this black creature/shadow entity hovering above me. I panicked but an inner voice told me to think of my little nephew (which I did). The love that I felt for him was so strong that I gained back my power and was able to move. This shadow creature no longer had power over me and it zoomed out of the door.

The next day the same thing happened again. Only this time it was at night and I saw this thing in my minds eye. I thought about my nephew as I did the night before and again it left. It looked the devils in the movie ghost. It was a black see-through thing with no hands or legs.

I spoke to my manager and my next door neighbour about this when it initially happened. They had also encountered these 'things' as well. My former manager is very spiritual (so was my neighbour) she told me that her creature had hands and had worn a pointy hat. She thought about the Bible when it was there and then it left her room.

Patricia haD also seen these 'shadow people' and she described the same image of what I saw. She said it looked like the devils from the movie Ghost (which I had not mentioned to her)...

As apple said earlier, yes you can send demons. Though, in most cases they demand your soul in exchange for the deed, in other words feel sorry for the person who sent it since they won't have any chance of going to heaven now that they're soul belongs to hell. So here's what you do, if you're afraid: admit it, but work up the courage to demand it to leave. Whats scarier, someone who isn't afraid, or someone who is afraid but has courage? Fear does tend to make people do many things.

before, my mum and dad said that when I was a kid I sleep walk, go downstairs play jumping ropes and that I talk to myself. They also said that it had happened a couple of times. Sometimes, I just sit down on my bed and play a hand game with no one. I remember some of them happening, I just see 2 girls in my dreams... They are nice and they are about 7 years old. And suddenly, one day... They disappeared.

Now that I am a teenager, I moved houses. This time whether I'm alone or not, sometimes I shiver, I just feel scared for no reason, tiny hairs on my skin goes up... And I sweat. I think I'm with a demon. And sometimes whenever I hold a knife, I don't feel scared cutting my hand, I tried cutting it once, but then I really thought of what I'm doing, so I stopped. I don't know what to do.

Thankyou for getting back to me. No you are definately not alone, before reading your post I thought I was alone and couldn't really talk about this with others because my stories never seemed to make sense to others.

I don't think I'm a medium, but in the last couple of years I have been seeing things. People (Mostly men, some of which who either stand by my bed and watch me sleep/rest or just sit next to me as I sleep) Shaddows, Old ladies, Pictures on my wall and moving pictures/things and shaddows all over my room. Does this happen to you?

As for praying and telling the visitors to leave me alone, it worked well in the past but now its getting out of control. Nothing is working... Any tips? Is it bad if I go see a medium? I'm freaking out I don't really know what to do anymore!

Wow, I'm not alone in this. I think the more I became aware of myself and possible abilities, this opened myself up to these attacks. This happens to me from time to time. I try to use my mind to demand that they leave me alone and ask for protection every day, like the people here are telling me to do. It has worked. In regard to the faces, this has not happened to me in a while. I've been told that it might be you witnessing the souls passing by. Do you live nearby a cemetery? I do. I am working on my fear and confronting all that I see. I think the attacks happened during a weak time in my life. So working on being stronger in my waking life is key, like working on negativity and depression. The more I know who I am, the more I can separate myself from the paranormal experiences.

I am freaking out because this is exactly what happens to me 3 or 4 times a night. (its been happening for maybe 5 or 6 years now but has gotten out of control lately) I don't know how to make the visits stop. Has it stopped visiting you yet? And when the demon 'attacks' is it when youre sleeping but you can somehow see and feel everything? If this isn't what youre going through I'm sorry I'm just trying to find out what's wrong with me and the why these weird things are happening aswell.

Ok, let me clarify this, as I've been attacked by them enough to know. YES demons can be sent, but only extremely powerful people can control them.

Pish posh apple sauce! Don't listen to that friend. No human being is sending those demons to you, and if demons exist then I am pretty sure they aren't listening to some petty person who says, "go pester my ex-girlfriend"!

But I have had experiences where I thought religious chants work. To tell the truth I think the chants just give you strength and the power to banish these negative energies. You know - you think you are invoking someone stronger than yourself and that belief facilitates a great power of delivery and conviction, which can really be effective. Anyway, whether or not these things are in our imagination, we still need to deal with them right? So for me, whether or not I imagine these things is not the most important part. What is important is learning to handle the situation so that I can feel safe.

I would like to comment on the last paragraph of your post: "I can see things in my mind's eye when I am in a state of calm, whether they are good or bad. Many times I have seen stranger's faces appear and disappear at a fast rate of speed. Some of those faces are distorted and frightening. One time, a man was smoking a cigarette and saw me looking at him in my mind's eye. He freaked and disappeared. That freaked me out too. Can anyone help?"

I HAVE THAT SAME THING! I am 23, but Grade 10 during May Long is exactly when it started happening. I have never thought on this too much but it always weirded me out a bit. Seriously until you said this, I have barely wondered about it. Sometimes when I close my eyes - especially if I am tired, I will see shapes that begin to materialize into people. It is a flood of people - back to back, only one or a small number at a time - and they will sometimes peer at me and then disappear. I can only see them for a couple seconds and cannot hold onto them. It hurts my eyes because I am usually straining to bring them about.

I actually forgot about it and haven't tried to do it in a long time. I have never told anyone... Does anyone know what this is? Just two tired gals seeing faces? I think once or twice I have seen people I know but usually it is just strangers. Also - sometimes it seems like it is me watching them without them knowing, but other times I feel like they know I can see them and are curious/intrigued about it. Mostly it is just a shape that becomes a face, sometimes with a body, that disappears and is replaced by a new inchoate shape that becomes a different face.

I would really appreciate any info or mutual experiences like this now that I have put some thought into it! Starssign, I don't think these (whatever they are) are harmful, at least not in my experience. I sort of assumed it was my mind playing tricks on me when I'm resting from exhaustion.

As for that sexual demon... I had a dream once where a demon said he was going to have sex with me... And since I am not sure if your experience is anything similar to mine, I'll just say that the demons I've met in dreams are sort of like humans... And you can trick demons just like they can trick you, so be clever and resourceful and get them the heck out of there or remove yourself from the situation.

Anyway, sometimes this site is hard to be on because you wish you could help people but just don't know how. I usually hope rashida or annev will post because they seem to know the what's what with this sort of stuff. So since Rashida said you can email them then I recommend doing that!

Ok people can't send demons and stuff to atack you the most they can do is tell them where you are and and just so most people know true demons are hard to come by. Any ways most things that have some thing to do with lucifer are ussally weeker then most there is 3 thing that should be watched out for that can actully travel. One shadows, two would be just about any thing that can shape shift there hard to come by but I had to deal with one and there the worst and finaly spirits who are similer to shadows the feed on energy or broken energy an by broken energy I mean if a spirit trys to manifest its self these would be the type of things who would provent it and then use the energy the spirit had but they can fade fast, now hears one I had to deal with its like the by prodict if some one with strong gifts and a shadow it hasnt had name before but its got the name night shadow they are extreamly fast like know other they can't sit still to long and they can make things go missing and the worst thing is they will run through you theyer no bigger then about knew high and if they run through you like they did me it can cause internal bleeding trust me it happened to me this summer I was sick for like 2 day with blood coming from places its not suppost to but they are not to worry about they are hard to come by for there new and there not going to populat mine occurd due to shadows ripping at my soul and the gifts I had and they will start by ataching them self to the weekest form of energy they can. Now for your issuse set up a spirital barriour. Now it also could be they are atracted to you for undeffind reason a pray to michael for the prayer gos michael I pray to you for the protection of my mind body and soul.

Try as hard as you can not to give into your fear, I know it is hard. But fear is a form of control and for lack of a better word food for some of these things they live from your fear and pain. Plus the fear will break you down and make you more vunerable. Be strong you can get through this I lived with it for 30 years almost, you will be ok. I have psychic abilities also I'm not sure what they are, but I see things and you probably have abilities too and these things know that about us even if we do or don't know.

I have experienced this same thing my whole life actually. From as far back as I can remember the same "thing" has been following me and I was terrified all my life. I would wake up see someone that looked kind of like a human but distorted watching me or sometimes feel as if someone was choking me or be sitting on the bed and something would touch me. While I was awake I would ignore it most nights I would try my hardest not to sleep at all, but in my sleep I would pray in a half awake state as loudly as possible and it would stop. One night I awoke and something had grabbed me by the ankle trying to pull me off the bed and I don't know how or what but I touched it with my own hand and said strange words I never heard before and it stopped. The next night it came back knocking on the door and I asked it what it was and it said the greatest thing you've ever known and feared. I tried to open the door but something kept me from openeing it. I was tired of being afraid and wanted to confront it without fear but couldn't and amazingly after that night it stopped. That was about five years ago, but around July of this year it appeared to me again and I just told it I was angry, I wasn't afraid anymore and I wasn't going to let it control my life anymore. For a few weeks I felt it's prescence but after that I haven't had any problems.

Thanks again for your advice and comments. It happened again to me last night just before 3am. There were 3 of them. I chanted "in the name of Jesus Christ, I repel you!" over and over again, until it disappeared. I think this is happening to me due to my weakened state of mind and spirit from life events. I do feel that I am not strong right now. Sometimes my cat sees them too. She looks at the space around my head, and I see her reaction which is a frightened look. I will try to work on my life.

You know what? You answered your own question, all by yourself.
You said that you called on a Saint, and He came and fought off... Whatever this was.
Why not try it again?
Some entities do not leave the first time they are asked. Sometimes they hang around, on the sidelines, and wait for your defences to drop.
So, do NOT drop your defences. Try not to skip one single night of calling on this particular Saint. Sooner or later, it will get tired of the battle and back off.
Another thought, while in mental thought of the Saint (or prayers, whichever you do), sandalwood incense could assist.

i have had one similar experience and it completly terrified me. I was lying in bed with my 2 year old son, when I was woken from my sleep with what I can only describe as a storm blowing in my bedroom, my husband was asleep downstairs which is not a usual occurance, nor was it a common thing for my child to be in the bedroom with me, to make a long story short a dead weight was holding me down on the bed and this 'thing' spun around the room like a hurricane, my 2 year old woke up and stared petrified at me, the mattress of my newborn who was also in the room jolted forword with my 4 week old on it. But the most frighhtening thing was that this 'thing' passed through me - I feel psychotic saying it but I actually felt it go through my head entering and exiting my ears, the sound of the gush (like a severe wind) will never leave me. For a long time I have seen shadows more or less since I was a child, for years as a young child I had dreams of wolves every night, this was not a frightening experience as I felt protected in my dreams by them. I can also 'feel' when someone is going to die, I work as a nurse and have had many many experiences of this, its a combination of a very strong sence, a shadow in the room or most often a very destinctive smell not unlike lemons. Sorry for the long winded post but do I have something to worry about or is it a psychic predisposition?

But trust me, you will get accustomed to it.

You have to work on your fear.

Well my friend has the same attacks, and they attacked me twice too. But I'm praying to my guardian angel now so I'm fine. But she is constantly under attack in her dream state. And it could be true what she said to me that two boys that used to be her friends sent them after her or whoever gets close to her. But I don't know. All I can do is keep my distance, protect myself, and pray. Because it's true if you send them you have to give something in return.

This is an interesting read. Now let us put aside the paranoia.

Call upon your God to protect you before you go to sleep in the night.

You maybe experiencing incubi coming at you in the night. This is very possible.

Yep, it is possible for people to send demons after other people but to do this the person most give the demon (s) something in exchange. To deal with it try to figure out why it is there, and what it wants.

On a side note, seeing spirits makes me believe you have chiarvoyance.
