Seeing Things In The Air

I mentioned in a previous post-in a comment to one of my posts, actually- that I've seem to have developed this ability to see things in the air. They're like little transparent worms or snakes, wriggling and writhing and shimmering through the air in a giant mass that seems to take up all of the pace in the air, and they're all over! I've only been able to see them when I stare into space and just let myself relax and not actually look for them. I kind of do the same thing when I search the ground for ants in the summer, because I hate to step on them. I sort of just stare at the ground and allow myself to see all of it at once and I can see all of the ants in a certain area at once, as a whole. I've always been able to use it as way not to step on them. I'm a bit nervous to tell my family about any of this, because they scoff at such things and I know they wouldn't believe me. Plus, I have ADD, so they all automatically assume I'm always unfocused, scattered-brained, and air-headed and they'd think I was making it up. It doesn't help that when I was younger, I was a perpetual teller of tall tales. Anything that could be embellished was embellished. They still aren't quick to believe me.

It's a little unnerving, but it feels natural, so I've never questioned it. I only once asked someone else- my brother, to be exact- if he saw the same thing, but he looked at me like I was nuts and walked away. Thankfully he forgot it before he could tell anyone, or I'd have a lot of explaining to do. Am I weird or am I crazy? What could it be that I'm experiencing?

By the way, by bad vision, I mean -- bad eyesight.
Just to clear up misunderstandings.

I can see those things too! And I as far as I remember, I started seeing those ever since I was 8 or 9.
(I'm 14 now.) I told my mum but she blames it on my bad vision. I, however, am sure that it's not just bad vision!

I have seen this many many times. I describe it as tranparent amebas. I asked my chem teacher and he said it is impossible, but said that if one could see air that that is probably what it would look like. I have blown in the air and watched them scatter for a second only to fill up. Do not believe it is just tired eyed. We are obviously more capable than we think. I have only told a few people, but am not afraid to tell. I don't know anyone who has seen this but me unless they aren't telling. Don't be afraid to tell. You are not alone!

Sometimes when I stare at the sky or something white (like a wall), and focus my eyes a special way, I see these shining dots floating around, and also other things. I'm not sure if this is something super-natural, but it might be seeing what is going on on top of your eye? Like blood-flow or something? I've always wondered about it...

As for seeing the ants in one area, it might be something like unfocusing your vision so that you don't look at all the small ants and try to see the big picture. Something like changing your perception when you see those weird optical illusions that are two things at the same time (the old woman and the young woman, the rabbit and the duck). So one moment you see the duck or a bunch of random ants, the other moment you see a rabbit or the big pattern of ants.

I've seen them too! At first I thought it was just dirt or deposits in my contacts, but I see them when wearing glasses or nothing at all.

But I have no idea what they are. Just that they Are. It's not imagination.
