First, let me start off by saying that I've recently been trying to teach myself via internet and books about chakra points, energy flow, meditation, etc. In my spare time. I have felt presences in the past. Sometimes, I can feel them in the same room with me. Sometimes, they communicate with me through dreams. A couple of times, they have tried to get me to leave my body. (Scary thought, that.) When the latter happens, I just force myself further back inside my body.
Well, this week I have been fighting off a sinus infection. Last night, I felt a presence in an odd way I've never felt before. Instead of it being a clear visual picture, a mist-like outline, or a clear solidified human-being-like outline of a presence, it was a semi-solid cloud-like state that was hovering between my navel and my pubic bone. (I apologize for the graphic description, but am not quite sure how else to explain it.) It was shaped like an amoeba, and kept changing shape more than anything else.
I wasn't sure what the entity was trying to do to me as it seemed it was attempting to mess with my chakra flow and/or enter my body or something. This was really confusing for me. I'm not sure if it was being harmful or helpful as I wasn't sure exactly what it was doing. I prayed because I was a little scared, and it went away. It kind of freaked me out because it's a new experience for me. When I woke up, I felt more rested and the infection seemed to be going away, but I figured that was due more to a good night's rest than anything else.
My questions are, in no particular order: What in the world did I just experience? What was it? And why did it seek me out? Any thoughts/ideas?

Thank you:) My name is Lori. I found a prayer/meditation online regarding psychic parasites and other draining entities. When chanting it, I could feel waves of energy pass over me (not sure how else to describe it other than a tingly sensation of energy), particularly on phrases that seemed to relate to/resonate with the problem. I had heard of other visualizations regarding this, but didn't seem to work nearly as well as the one I found.
