Abilities Through Family. Am I Paranoid?

I really need a guide to help me develop some kind of medium powers or whatever this might be.

So I will be moving to Michigan this Saturday. I just finished up my first semester of college. I am pretty scared to be moving to Michigan. No, not because it's new but because the house I will be moving into has some kind of vibe to it. I'm not sure if it's a bad vibe or not. There have been a few things that have happened to me there.

Here is a bit of background:

So I have a twin brother and my parents divorced when I was young. My dad moved to Alton, IL (one of the most haunted cities America). He lived in a trailer which always gave my mom the creeps, I was too young to remember it. When I got older (6-7) he moved into an apartment that had a weird vibe to it. Being in first grade, I find it pretty interesting that I still remember that and could feel that aura. A few moves later he wound up in another trailer that had something in it. I was 11-12 and I could always feel something watching me. I was always sure it was a woman. An older woman. I felt as though she was bad.

(Another experience)

My grandfather was always in my grandma's basement in his workshop or on the computer. After he died, I always had this weird vibe. One night my brother and I had slept over (I was 9). He was in the other room and my grandma was showering. I had walked by the stairs of her finished basement and a light turned on. I freaked out. This light was on top of an old wardrobe, with a bunch of old pictures on it. The lamp was older so it had a push switch that was hard to push. It was pretty high up so my brother and I couldn't reach it and no one else was home. My grandma doesn't believe in paranormal but I'm sure it was something. It still can't be explained. I feel like he's down there every time I visit.

A few weeks ago I was in my kitchen and we have a wooden tea pot that hangs on the wall. I was cutting up some food and I start to hear something weird, I look over and it was swinging really hard as though someone had pushed it. My brother was in his room and I was the only one around. There is no possible way for it to swing that hard unless someone pushed it. After telling my mom this she said it happened to her too.

I have also heard my name in the basement before too. Also, when I drive I can see shadows and outlines and sometimes people who then aren't there. I can't tell if it's my eyes playing with me or not.

Well, now the house I will be joining my dad and his new wife in is very small and just during my visits I have seen what I believe is paranormal.

I was drying my hair and out of the corner of my eye I see a little girl in a black cape (with a hood) standing there. It freaked me out. I still feel the presence of the lady from the old house too. And what really topped it off for me is a few summers ago in the same house I was walking to the bathroom and the window was open. I turned to look and there was a man standing there in a running stance. He had slicked back hair, and a blue button up on. Looked 18-30. He was young. I blinked and looked away (Before I even realized what it was) and looked back and it was gone. I ran to the window (All fences, so its not like some guy can hop all those fences) He looked like he was from the late 1950s or early 1960s

This is what has really gotten to me. I don't know what happened to him.

I want to help him.

My mom has always told me about how she can feel, see and hear stuff, (her and my Great Aunt have some kind of sensing ability) but I feel like she's not taking me seriously and thinks I'm crazy. My dad won't help me and my friend thinks I'm a hypochondriac.

I want to cleanse the room at my dad's house before I move in and make some kind of boundary line for whatever is there. I want to stay safe.

I have a protection candle and some sandalwood incents and a few protection stones.

What do I do?

How do I help him?

Do I have a medium ability or am I a hypochondriac?

Being 18 and having this happen to you is pretty terrifying. I really need a guide or something.

Thanks so much.

I have weird things happening to me too! From what I remember, ever since I was 2! I'm pretty confused about it too and I'm trying to find out more about it. Maybe we could together? My friends and family keep telling me that it's all in my head and what not. (I live in Michigan too!)

I wouldn't call you a hypochondriac per se, but a person who puts a strong label on something generally non-threatening. Anything and everything has a "vibe" to it and that's because we and everything else around us is made up of energy. You've systematically labeled your college home, your dad's home and pretty much every home you've lived in as having "vibes" most of which you've interpreted as bad or weird. I think the labels you're attaching to these places are a reflection of your own fear. You're anticipating bad things, bad spirits, bad places and life gives us exactly what we project. You yourself said you don't even know what kind of "vibe" your college place has yet are already "scared to be moving to Michigan." Wow, that is really no fun way to live.

The paranormal exists. People's spirits survive bodily death. Objects can move. This is only "not normal" because people have been brain washed into thinking so, yet millions of people experience these things (and 100% of us experience death, in which our spirits continue living). Maybe it's time that you accept that the world and beyond has mysteries and actually most are benign (non threatening). Your personality is already set and you can either continue living in perpetual fear, or start looking for the positive side to these vibes. That choice is yours.

Thanks for sharing and best of luck to you with your college.
