A while ago my brother gave me a sword he bought from a guy who worked with a psychic, and I hadn't really touched it until a few weeks ago. He brought it in a wrap that I thought was just so he could transport it without causing a problem, but when I took it out and held it my arms seemed to burst into Black Flames causing me to drop the sword. I didn't know what was happening so I quickly tried to put them out but the flames couldn't be doused and they haven't caused any harm to me. I went to ask my brother if he knew what was happening but he said there were no flames and that I was just being annoying and trying to get his attention. Ever since then I've only had a few people notice the flames. They are a well known psychic and fortune teller in our area, and a group of girls who frequent her shop, but they didn't know what they were either. They started calling me the Arms of Black and now most people who go to my friends shop know me as such. I've done research, searched through old stories, read through many of my friend's tomes on Magic, curses, etc. And still haven't found anything that helps me get closer to understanding the flames or their origin. The flames haven't changed since they appeared and they're starting to become a normal part of my daily life. I decided to start working at my friends shop in hopes that someone would see the flames and know where they came from but I haven't had any such luck yet, so I decided to post it on here. If you know what they are please notify me.

Due to the information you provided my friend and I have managed to seal the flames, but we could not be rid of them. Though the marks Jasmine speaks of are still visible, they are much easier to get used to. Again I thank you for your information and will report if anything new happens.

There are many cases of people buying cursed items from psychics or spiritual shops. The previous owner could curse them or negative beings could do it. From what you have explained about the black flames, it seems that the negative energy from the sword went right onto (maybe even INTO) your body. You say the flames are still visible.
I was curious about what it is. So far from what I saw there are visible markings starting from your palms, going up to shoulders. The markings' energy seems like it wants to spread to your chest and back, as if the black flames want to take over your body. Also, the color of the markings are burgundy, almost black. The flames look like energy seeping from the markings outside of your body. It looks like you have a big cloud of energy around you constantly.
