Grandpa's Important Prediction

On a cold October morning, my mother said she opened her eyes to see her father standing by her side. My grandfather had passed away more than 20 years earlier. He said to her, "Becky will have a terrible accident but don't worry she will be okay..." My mother did not know what this could have meant - just a crazy dream. A couple of hours later, the news arrived that my sister, Becky, had been shot in a hunting accident. She had been flown to the nearest trauma center. Her injuries were life threatening. She remained in that trauma center for almost a month. During that time Becky went through 88 units of blood. I noticed during that time how strong my mother had been. She never seemed to lose her composure. It wasn't until a month or so after my sister was home that my mother shared her experience. I know my mother is a godly woman and I know she did indeed have a visit of comfort from her father.

My grandmother, in greece, was sitting on easter sunday night, by the bed of her sick boy- he had malaria I think. She didn't go to church at 12 o clock that night, to celebrate the Resurection. As she was sitting, she heard the old wooden floor creaking, from heavy footsteps, as if someone was coming toward her room... Then she heard the cough that her dead father used to have, (he was a heavy smoker), and in the dim light of the petrol lamp, she saw the door creak open... But nobody was there! Then she heard her dead father's voice: "Christ is risen Chrýssa! Don't worry about the boy, he'll get better!"... Then the footsteps started again toward the exit, together with the coughing! My grandmother was not one to hallucinate or make up stories, she was a strong woman, who raised 5 kids, in great poverty and hardship. Go figure! God sometimes let's good people-and saints- who have died, to visit us and help us in troubled times... Maybe an angel took the form of her father, in order not to frighten her.

Very interesting story. Your mom remain strong during that time because she believed your grandfather.

She has not said. I have had experiences that I can't explain. Perhaps, that is where it came from.
