Same Thoughts At The Same Time

All right, this has been happening to me for about 2 years now. I am 13 years old and this happens a lot and has been happening since I was 11.

I type a lot on the computer. I also have the habit of leaving the TV on when I'm not even watching it (wasting electricity!) Anyway, when I go to type a certain word, a character on the TV will say the word at the exact moment I am typing it. It happened earlier tonight again. I was e-mailing my Uncle and as I went to type the word "impossible", some lady in a random movie on TV said "impossible" as I was in the middle of typing it. This happens to me all the time, probably at least four or five a week, which is a lot in my opinion. And it's not like they say the word and then I decide to type it, I actually start typing the word FIRST, and then, as I am in the middle of the word, a person on TV will say it. It definitely doesn't feel like this is a coincidence, I feel that it is something more.

Has this ever happened to anyone, or do you know anything about it? Please let me know, I appreciate it. Thanks.

This happens to me at least once a day. Sometimes I will be doing the same thing at the same time (making chocolate milk, crying about my dead mom, etc.) as people on TV! I have no explanation!

Well, it seems that the ideas of imaginary odds and the oddities of imagination have already been covered by previous posters...

When I was working as an admin assistant, I had an odd thing that would occur. Le's say I was answering Joe Smith's line, and the caller's name (which I had not yet heard) would me Julie White. I would answer with the name of the business and say, "Julie White's desk." (And, were was no caller ID... That technology did not yet exist.)

The fact that I'm dyslexic anyway caused me to take a while to notice that I was doing it, but eventually both my coworkers and the callers began to get puzzled...

I have also quite frequently known before I got to a blind intersection that a car would run the light or stop sign, saving me getting T-boned. (And yes, I am attuned to headlights at night and have excellent peripheral vision... But when I say blind I do mean blind.) (Such vindication when the person behind me starts to honk angrily and then shuts up when the other vehicle comes whizzing through against the light.) God only knows how many alleys that I didn't go down, etc. Would have played out.

Actually, while the possibility of you being full of yourself has already been addressed, this sort of thing is quite typical of emerging psychic abilities. The almost clichetic example is anticipation of the next poker card about to be displayed. (Of course, if someone is looking at it first, that is telepathy, but if it is being drawn blind, it can be precognition.) Call it an overused parlor trick, which it undoubtedly is, but it has also been a classic research instrument.

Far more critical that all this who struck John first is what this or any other ability means to you in your life. What are your priorities? What are your values? What are your passions? If you have a gift, you have it for a reason. Keep this in mind. Whether it's sharp hearing, 20-20 vision, money in the bank, or psychic gifts, it's all about how it supports your own evolution and your contribution to the greater dance.

It's all in you imagination. 😜 I'm just kidding its just this is way more likely to be the case of your imagination rather than the other experiences you commented on. But anyways the weird thing is I do think this is something because this happens to me a lot and it is so annoying because it just brings out the irony in my life and that just drives me madd. I have experienced other things way more abnormal, but I do think this is more than just a coinsidence. I like to think of it as a form of precognition. Have you experienced other events that might seem like precogntion?

That sounds really cool. That has never happened to me before but if your gut tells you it's not a coincidence trust it.

I disagree with the people below. It's like 1 in a 100, 000 chance in a 1 in an 86, 400 chance that just you type a word at that second. So that's 1/8,640,000,000 chance! That's one in eight BILLION, six hundred and forty million chance. So unbelievably low!

The chance of that word appearing on the TV at that time is startlingly unimpressive in comparison because it really just comes down to the chance of you being on that channel at that time. Because the TV is always going to say that word then because it's pre-recorded.

You definitely have something going on there and you should keep an open mind. You might discover other things that are out of the ordinary.

I don't think it's got anything to do with anything, because you can't exactly be empathic with a TV:/ Maybe if a person started singing something you were thinking in your head that you had never heard before (happens to me all the time, it's annoying). I think, like Br1tt4ny, that it's merely coincidence, because it only happens 4 or 5 times a week (which is not a large degree). Now, if the sentence you were thinking of writing was something completely original in your mind, and a new advertisement came on you had never heard before saying it exactly in the same sentence, then I'd think that it could not be passed off as coincidence. I don't think there's any psychic phenomena occurring where you coincidentally type the word "impossible", which is a very common word indeed. If it was a rare word like yegg (a person who cracks safes for a living), the moment you were thinking it, I'd be more convinced.

I think you are looking to much into this. It may be more if it happens in different scenerios. As in school you write the same words as the teacher is saying them. Keep an open mind there may be more to your abilities then you are letting us know.
