Real Psychic Experiences

A Shadow Figure

Almost a month ago I had this experience. A dark figure came to my bed and started pulling me like it wanted to take me, and the odd thing was that I was awake, but I was in a trance like state so weak I could barely move my arms to pull away. This happened night after night. The phantom figure just came and I don't know but I think it was trying to possess me or something and another weird thing also happened almost every night.

I started to listen some strange voices screaming to my ear just loud screams and I could feel something just like standing on top of me I could barely lift my self up, I was afraid to tell my parents because they would think I was crazy, the last time the figure came, and as it was trying to pull me I chased away somehow and then the next night nothing happened it just stopped

Also the voices stopped too, but the thing is, I'm terrified that they will return. They stopped five days ago but if they return, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to make of these things, what they want or am I loosing my mind? If someone can help or if someone has had this kind of a problem and knows something more about these sort of thing, please post as fast as you can.

Just to clarify something, sleep paralysis is a state of awareness that occurs when a person's body is completely asleep while the mind wakes up, or remains awake. I know because it happens to me, and has happened to me for years.

I have also been visited by spirits in these situations, spirits (that I had no prior knowledge of) that have been later confirmed by residents of those houses. It is said that when a spirit attempts to take you from your body, and you give in to it, then you will die.

These experiences lead to OBE's as well. Some people meditate and achieve OBE's or astral projection. I personally know when there is a presence there or not when I have sleep paralysis, and it can be dangerous if there is an evil entity. In this state your spiritual self is aware and you have no control of your body so if you continue to have these experiences learn to control the mind-body seperation (meditation is the only way I know of), if you want to be able to reverse it and become physically conscious quicker and easier.

I will also say that sleep paralysis is not always a negative experience, I have had visions and OBE's during sleep paralysis without the feeling or sight of presences. Also, understand that fear can attract negative entities because it is a way for them to gain power over you and that's what they want. The only way to resist or repel negative energy by your choice to be positive and by strengthening your mind (also done by meditating). Good Luck:)

Why do these things happen to certain people? Why me, or any of us what makes us 'special' enough to have this happen to us? I've had this happen more times than I would like for it to happen and it's always the same I'm in between sleep and awake and this shadow force or thing either gets on top of my back or is beside me and I try to scream out but nothing happens. This time was different I tried to call out my sisters name out of panic and I heard a male's voice harshly say natalia isn't here, and it just freaked me out I'm scared of going to sleep I've also had problems going to sleep lately I feel like some ones always watching me or lurking in the shadows, I just want it to stop. Now!

In almost all of these instances, this phenomena can be attributed to sleep paralysis, often associated with psychic or demonic visitation. It is a very scary phenomena that I myself have experienced. It can easliy be percieved as an otherworldy experience but IT IS NOT! There is lots of scientific research on the subject and if it is scaring you, it is important to remind yourself that it is just a condition brought on by stress and lack of sleep. In it, your brain has suddenly awoken and failed to disengage the paralysis that occurs during REM to stop us from acting out our dreams. This, combined with our brains still being half in dream state creates the illusion of us being attacked, or seeing shadow figures or feeling like we are being pulled or levitated. Since I have discovered the truth about this condition, I am to calmly tell myself that it is a dream when it occurs, and it immediately stops. I urge you to understand that this is not something "crazy" and if you spoke with your doctor they would be able to tell you the same thing. Nor is it proof of any psychic or otherwise phenomena. For the past 15 years I've been trying to figure out what I experienced for a few years when I was younger. This is my first post, but the subject is so close to home.

One night I had a vivid dream that I was competing in a game, against a friend that I always wanted to beat, and I was trying my hardest to win. A voice whispered,"Very good! Do you know the way to God?" I replied, "Yes, follow me". At that moment I had a very weird sensation that my head was spinning in every direction possible. Then I seen myself coming up through a black hole into Gods house. That's when I started feeling like I was being pulled out of my back (I was laying on my stomach). I felt a tingling sensation like something was on me. As I fought to stay in my body, I was paralyzed and couldn't move, I tried to pull myself back in. The more I fought the more consciousness I gained. The more aware I became the stronger I grew to resist the pulling. I was safe, but still paralyzed. I could still feel that something was on my back. I laid there thinking, "maybe it will give up and just go away". It didn't. Finally I got so angry that I threw up my arms, breaking the paralysis, and I jumped up...

My living room was pitch black. Yet I could see this dark human figure that was blacker than anything I had ever seen, as if light were behind it. It moved away fast from me and I followed it down into the hall where it went into my bedroom. I was young and scared so I shut the door thinking that it somehow wouldn't just come right back out.

I was spooked but still very tired so I laid back down to try to sleep, half thinking that I had a strange dream and nothing more. As I was nodding off, right at that moment when I slipped into sleep, an image of an American Indian leaning against the wall and watching me flashed into mind. I jumped up to see the shadow in that very spot. I raced to my older brother's room and woke him up. After that I had these dreams for about 3-4 years over and over.

The shadow I had visit me was definitely after my competitive spirit. I'm one of those guys that will not give up until I win and I am good at a lot of things. I didn't decide this over one dream, I've had years of them. I have had arguments with them. I have begged them to teach me (understanding that they have a deep sense of how the human mind works). I have even been told very clearly by one of them "don't *fk* with me" when I grew to accustomed to sensing them around me. I arrogantly told one to "turn the lights out when you're done", because I sensed it moving around on the other end of the room. It warped to me with furious speed and anger and in an electric voice screamed it into my mind.

A lot of my dreams ended in me spinning in cars, through hoses, wells, anything circular, or any vehicle type. With me knowing what happens next and fighting paralysis to wake up. I've heard whispering. I've been yelled out so loudly it made head hurt. I've felt like I was being electrocuted by their voices at the same time feel them pulling me deeper back to sleep as I fought to wake up. I've had my son (two years old at the time) point up to a man that was hovering above me whispering really quickly, so fast that I couldn't understand, to get startled that my son was pointing up to him and wake up to see that my son was really pointing up. To having young children (more than once) point at me and and say he's a shadow.

I think that when people freely project themselves that there is a big difference between being pulled out by a shadow.

I have a lot of experiences and reflections if anyone is interested in them.

ArchAngel. These kinds of things can and do happen. Your going to have to believe in yourself. Did any animal concepts come to mind? Did you "think" of any particular thing that co-incided with the presence of the shadow figure. IMHO you would do well to explore shielding.

For example, if I feel an aphid present (nasty little bug that feeds on plant sap) I'm going to use a ladybug as a shield.

I hope this helps you. You're welcome to e-mail me if you are frightened and I'll do my best to problem solve with you.

This is the classic pre-projection stage. It's known as the Catatonic Stage. You can read about it on my other webpage www.astralvoyage.com.

In this state, we often can't move (or we feel really weak), we hear voices, see shadows, etc. This is because we are partially separated from our physical shell and are in basically in the etheric. We can also hear radio frequencies and the thoughts of those sleeping next to us.

The good news is that you're close to projection but you have to kill the fear, focus on the third eye and try and induce the vibrations. This is all on that webpage (look for beginner "how to's".).

The bad news is that it's easier said than done and if you're the type that finds yourself in this state, you'll continue to have these experiences. The best advise is to educate yourself. Read Robert Monroe's work or William Buhlman's as both are good.
