Spirits Attacking Or Is It Something More?

Don't pay thousands of dollars to psychic mediums, who might see the spirits, but can't get rid of them, they have NO supernatural authority to do so! I agree with 'spirit4', you need supernatural help from Jesus, through a priest. I am 50, and out of my experience, I strongly recommend you get a greek or russian orthodox christian priest, to sprinkle your house and family with holy water, and TELL him your problems, he'll be glad to help, because he can! Black Magic will attract spirits of a dark nature. Since your father did not die violently it does mean he not willing give up what he has here. It is not going be easy to convince your father to let go. My impression your father is of very controlling nature and this may be reason he is not willing legal. In fact this may lead to the reason your father has not cross over.

First of all. Fighting dark with dark always does a world of harm. What is trully needed here is a crossover for this spirit (your father). He's obviously wanting to continue where he had left off like he had never been gone. There's other theories about this, but I won't dare state them. But I can surely say that all he needs is some heavy persuading and a crossover.

Try getting a priest to help you and bless your house it's kind of like giving your home an "Exercism" and if that doe not work you might want to move but try the priest I suggested.

Have you tried telling him to behave or leave. Iam no expert in fact I came to this site looking for help exacly like you have done but I have just had a similar experence with somthing unfriendly in my house upsetting my famly. I just decided to tell it to go and kept doing so until it left. I am sorry to hear that this has happened to you and your mother.
The only thing I can think of as too why this started is because of the psychic. I don't believe she did anything intentionally but maybe there was something there with her and it decided to follow you. I really don't know but that's what I think.
I think that most psychics don't know how to handle your type of situation, nor do I feel they are trained to do so. I say this because of my dealings with psychics when I was looking for help and what I observed in the past with readings. I would say there are lots of fakes out there. Even the well known ones are fakes such as Sylvia Browne and Miss Cleo. I don't know much about Miss Cleo but I know quite a bit about Sylvia and believe me I was a fan/follower (owned books, got a reading, novus spiritus member) but after looking at things such as the reading I received from her son, books, stopsylviabrowne.com, etc. I realized just because you make it too the top does not make you real. The point I am trying to make is that if she can do it others can as well. I do think some people have real gifts. Even if the person has gifts it doesn't mean they can help with your particular situation. When I watch the show Paranormal State. They will sometimes bring in Chip and he will tell them what he picks up but he can't remove anything from there.
I think the reason why some of these psychics have stopped helping you is because they are either fake or do not have the appropriate skills to help you.
Smudging the house, burning incense and oils, praying - These don't work. I prayed all the time and I would ask Arch Angel Michael for help and nothing really happened. I have learned if it doesn't want to leave, it is not going too. Maybe those work for residual energies? When I would try this type of stuff, things would get worse for me.
While I don't know much about black magic or voodoo. I really don't believe that is a good idea.

If you were to use his service please know that it can take awhile for people to fully recover. I have read in places some people have instant recovery but I have also read where it takes time. I was not an instant recovery. I was nine when it started and it continued for 16 years. During those years, I experienced a lot of harassing things on a weekly basis and I learned that spirits can leave effects or impressions on the mind. So even though the spirits were gone, I was still experienced some things slightly such as feeling pressure over me while in bed at times so I did his suggestions and the effects faded away gradually. Also when I say the effects on the mind, I mean- the things personally effecting your mom such as being felt like something is tying her up,feelings,etc.I didn't really experience strange things around my house more so something unseen effecting me but I would say the strange things around the house will stop right away.
I just wanted to tell you because it can be a commitment because looking back I expected an instant recovery. Every situation is different though and that was my experience so your mom may go back to normal right away. I don't know. I just want you to be aware.

We bought our house in 2003, when we came to look at it before buying it we went in the basement with the owner, as soon as we stopped walking down there I looked at the owner and said this place is f*#$%d. We bought it anyways, and it is very haunted. I was affraid of the house for about a year, then I figured I might as well enjoy what happens. Once you aren't afraid anymore, you can control everything a lot better, an example, I was in the basement a couple years ago and a sheet of glass flew off of a shelf about two feet in front of my face, I yelled this is my fing house, you're fing dead so get the f out, nothing has happened since in the basement. I also feel like something is trying to choke me, but when it happens I say please stop, and it does. When I see spirits I just look at them, smile and say I see you, they go away. Doors have opened and shut that were locked, you name it and it's happened here! Little by little just try to be ok with them, once you aren't afraid you can take your house back. You can't just pretend that you aren't afraid, they know, so truely try to be ok with them. Good luck.

I'm sure you've already thought of this, but what is the longest you and your mother have stayed in a location outside of the house? Have you tried staying in a hotel for a week or with friends, both of you together in another location and see if there is a decrease in activity? This would be a good test for the scientific variables, try finding out the variables and see what happens. It's possible you may just need to move. As for your father, I am sorry to hear he was that way, and it was unsettling that psychic said he was looking for you. I'm not sure I buy it however, wouldn't s/he have picked up on the negative energy if your father was intending to hurt or haunt you two? And by the way, just a word to the wise: any kind of black magic or even ouiji boards can create portals and can unleash more dark energy and spirits. I had haunting type issues throughout my life. I can't say that I've tried voodoo or black magic. I'm even second guessing myself if I even want to try and get EVPs, fearing of coarse that paying attention to them would make these issues worse. I've not heard much good when it comes to black magic or voodoo, but I think its all in how you go about it. Depending on your personal beliefs have different ways of dealing with this issue. Does the haunting stop when you leave the home? Or at least get less severe? If it does then perhaps the power is in your home so then cleansing may help. If there is a portal in your home then I do not know if there is very much you can do. I know their are people who claim to be able to open and close portals but I've never seen this for myslef. I lived in a Haunted home as a child a home one wouldn't think would be haunted since it was a home built by my great-grandparents who I had lived with before they died in that home as well as the fact that the home was built on land that was never lived on before. My house was haunted though. Sadly I believe it was grand-parents or at least one of them. Why would ones we love harm us later after they pass. I do not know I never got any answers but it has gotten a lot bettor since I moved out of that house. I'm not saying the only answer is to move but it may be. Maybe go at this from a scientific approach instead of a spiritual one. Try and record this or get a "ghost hunting" type of team in. I almsot get the feeling that all of this "psychic" investigations may be feeding the negative energy. I do not know if I would have your mom participate in this type of stuff because she is being physically harmed, but if your not maybe you'll be able to find out what it wants what it's attached to and who it really is for sure. Spirits of negative energy can be incredibly cruel and mean I've come to the conclusion to ignore it has helped me but I've not been physically hurt. I've obtained physical marks before but they never caused me pain. I.E. I had bruises of shapes of fingertips and fingers on my neck, scratches (but they never hurt physically) Just be careful it could potentially be more then just an upset ghost especially if you have an odd illness that no one can figure out and if that was present already before your father died.
